Jaguar MKI number 69 for P & G V2.1

Ron Hodgson competed in the early days of the Australian Touring Car Championship.

In the first event on the 1st February 1960, which was won by David McKay in a Jaguar MKI number 71, this car finished 3rd, 55 minutes 25 seconds behind McKay, after suffering a starting problem on the pit stop due to flooded Weber Carburettors.

Fitted with a 3.8 litre engine, which was unusual for a MKI, this car would have been odds on favourite to win.

Ron Hodgson Motors went on to sponsor many Holden teams throughout the 70's and 80's.
