Thanks to Paul Skingley and all the GPL team, (see GPL readme below) the famous Montjuich Park is released for rFactor. To quote from the original readme
Used for F1 events between 1969 and 1975 Montjuich was one of the most challenging circuits on the F1 calendar. Using public roads in Barcelona Spain this is a street circuit in the same style as Monaco but with fast sweeping turns and higher top speeds. There were some serious accidents including one in 1969 involving Rindt and Hill where both cars were destroyed. But the most serious was in 1975 when a car left the track at high speed and crashed into a spectator area resulting in fatalities. This was the last straw for Montjuich and F1 cars no longer visited this track.
This version for rFactor is based on the GPL reprensentation as it was in 1969. apart from adding some extra objects, static marshals and cameramen, animated flags ..reworked the track for use in later formats, made and added 3d lamps based on photos of the real street lamps still there today, mainly keeping the apperance of the great work of the original by the GPL team, so some retexturing and remapping of
parts were done to represent the look of GPL version of the track, some updates like working night lights may possibly be included in a future update.. just as in Paul wrote in a recent email (part included). hope you have fun and enjoy this track.
To Install: extract the rar to temporary folder, then copy the "70stracks" folder into your Locations, if you have that folder already you can safely let it overwrite.

A long time ago I worked on CREW's track packs for F1Challenge and was able to use and add the GPL Montjuich .. sometime later I asked if I could put it across to other later formats. it was agreed I could start work on it, but after RSC forums crashed it was put on hold. plus changing my pc not everything was ported across.
so after contacting Paul again I have now put the track into other the formats....
At last Montjuich Park for GPL is released. It has been 4 years or more in the making but we think you will all agree it has been worth the wait.

For an in depth track guide and setups see Steve's Montjuich Park guide. http://www.gpladdicts.speedgeezers.com/guides/mnjc/Montjuich_gifs.htm
The standard version should work on systems with a cpu higher that 2.5Ghz and a medium range graphics
card with 256mb of Ram.
If your system is lower spec we recommend using the Low Polygon addon.
there is also a very high res texture addon available.
The Montjuich track team request that NO conversions of this track for GPL are carried out unless prior permission is given from the track team.
