I do a lot of hot laps, posting / beating times, and learning tracks. No longer focused on overtaking or defending position, I noticed something horrible…

Graffiti!

This mod removes all "START" "FINISH" “SpeedHunters” “Need for Speed” and “Shift logo" graffiti from the racetracks.

Graffiti unique to the Nordschleife (Aremberg, Karusell, Nurburg, etc) are intact.
Drift Arrows on drift tracks like the London Millennium are intact.
Dakota and Rustle Creek also keep their signature graffiti / logos.

Oil Stains on Willow Springs Horse Thief Mile and Tokyo tracks have been removed. Cleaner look.

“NFS 2 Unleashed” and "SPEEDHUNTERS" overhead banners are also removed. I know what game I'm playing... do I have to be told every couple hundred yards? These banners aren't on all tracks, but they can be distracting when driving at night.

*** It's recommended that you install this after the DLC (patch 1.02)

SHIFT2 Unleashed Clean Track Mod - No Graffiti

First things first... Backup:
Pakfiles/Tracks/
DLC2/Pakfiles/Tracks/

In case you feel the game looks better with the track graffiti/banner. Or if something goes wrong in the installation process.

I edited all the files and use this mod myself. I haven't encountered any issues. Backup just in case.


Instructions
1 - Extract all four (4) items into your SHIFT2 directory:

FOLDER DLC2_loose_files_to_inject
FOLDER Pakfiles_loose_files_to_inject
EXE NFSSInjector
BAT INJECT.bat

2 - Right click on "INJECT.BAT" and run as administrator (vista/win7)
3 - Press Enter
4 - Wait for the install to finish, could take a few minutes (~2000+ files)
5 - When finished, press any key to close the bat
6 - You may delete the four (4) items from your shift directory

FOLDER Pakfiles_loose_files_to_inject
EXE NFSSInjector
BAT INJECT.bat

7 - Play and enjoy the game without the NFS graffiti nonsense =)
