PTMu v1.74 provide balanced tyre physics very similar to other simracing titles.

PTMu v1.74 supports Unofficial Community Patch and unpacked game, version for packed game included.
Drag and Drift modes might be problematic / unplayable.
For Career races in unpacked game use 720 degrees of rotation (most cars have 22 steering lock which works best with 720, not 900 degrees).
Read this file carefully.
-Added more realistic slip curves instead of old ones,
-Erased different LoadSens curves for front and read tyres and replaced those with one with smaller grip dropoff,
-Added Packed versions of the mod,
-Added files to support UCP Ferrari add-on (unpacked version only)
-Swapped slip curves and added additional one for front wheels to reduce snap oversteer,
-Edited lateral grip values,
-Edited Legends cars tyres,
-Added different LoadSens values for greater stability,
-Added new Peak Slip and Peak Load values,
-Dropped grip to 1.05 instead of 1.075,
-Dropped grip of slicks,
-Added Hard AI version with new AI settings for both Quick Race and Career modes,
-Added installation instructions for Hard AI to this readme file,
-Added new Logitech Profiler Settings
-Pagiani C9 SH tyre change (was semi slick now is full slick),
-4WD and FWD cars are less understeering,
-decreased heating of porsche 918 front tyres,
-raised grip to 1.075 and fixed it for all difficulty levels
-Lotus Exige tyre heating decreased,
-added Juls minimod dinput8.dll for smoother and more detailed FFB effects,
-added grip levels for different difficulties in game: (Novice) 1.1, 1.075, 1.05, 1.025, (Elite) 1.0,

-Tyres stiffness, grip and upgrades overhaul,
-No front grip reduction over curbs,
-More or less usable drift mode,
-Stiffness of tyre upgrades made from scratch,
-Reduced grip of the historic_slick tyres (classic DLC and some SH cars),
-small but crucial stiffness adjustments,
-self aligning stiffness increased by 50%,
-separate slip curves for acceleration, braking and lateral forces,
-added loose version for UCP users,
-lower stiffness levels for stock cars and higher for works converted,

-overall grip raised to 1.0 (some cars were too crazy with 0.9),

-kinetic grip lowered (from 0.97 to 0.95, so not much),
-camber fix (camber adjustments will give lateral grip bonus but will take some longitudinal grip; at peak),

-beware! some cars from new DLC are using stock drag tyres but others are on modded ones which may produce funny situations in drag mode,
-dropoff function changed to 0,
-small tweak in slip angle levels,
-speed related grip drop fixed at 1000m/s; speed load eq. turned off,
-launch grip reduction effect turned off,
-fixed "tyre melt" bug
-reduced kinetic grip (0.815),
-less stiff tyres,
-steering lock 20 degrees,
-AI grip levels tweaked,
-normal slip angle levels
-completely new tyres files for all cars,
-changed min. steering lock of all cars to 30 degrees,
-Huaua-something and MP4-12C are using slicks again
If you are experiencing problems with turning you can:
-increase the steering lock in tuning options,
-increase steering sensitivity in options,
-decrease speed steering sensitivity,
If you are experiencing problems with oversensitivity you can:
-decrease steering sensitivity in options,
-increase speed steering sensitivity,
-change steering lock to lower setting in tuning,
If you are locking the brakes too often:
-decrease braking sensitivity,
-decrease brake pump in tuning,
If you are spinning during braking:
-move braking balance forward (to front wheels)
Example settings for any 180-270 degrees steering wheel:
1. Steering sensitivity 10-20%, speed steering sensitivity 0%, no change in steering lock (car tuning settings)
2. Steering sensitivity 50%, speed steering sensitivity 70+%, no change in steering lock (car tuning settings)
3. Steering sensitivity 50%, speed steering sensitivity 0%, 8-12 degrees steering lock (car tuning settings)
720 and 900 degrees wheel settings:
Steering sensitivity 50%, speed steering sensitivity 0%, 22-36 steering lock (in car tuning settings)
PACKED GAME means a fresh, patched install (for example downloaded and installed via Origin or from DVD). Mod is actived by overwriting the game files manually.
UNPACKED GAME means original game unpacked and patched with Unofficial Community Patch by Ermo and Nogripracing community. Mod is activated by copying it's contents into MODS catalog and clicking on it in JSGME application.
Installation (PACKED GAME)
1. Go to x:\Shift2\Pakfiles\
2. Make a backup of physicsbootflow.bff, physicspersistent.bff and physicsmenu.bff
3. Copy files from this archive Packed\HardAI or Packed\NormalAI into x:\Shift2\Pakfiles\ and overwrite originals
4. Start up the game and play.
Bigger steering lock for 900 degrees users (PACKED GAME):
Use PHYSICSMENU.bff_900 file to get 28 steering lock stock for all cars, rembember to erase _900 from filename.

Physicsmenu.bff_900 //chassis files with 28 stock steering lock (only for packed version!)
Physicspersistent.bff //vehicle files
Installation (UNPACKED GAME)
1. Go to x:\Shift2\MODS\
2. Copy "PTMu 1_74 by brrupsz" or "PTMu v1_74 with Hard AI by brrupsz" folder into MODS catalog from step 1
3. Run JSGME.exe, select "PTMu 1_74 by brrupsz" or "PTMu v1_74 with Hard AI by brrupsz" from the left list and click ">"
4. Mod will activate, close JSGME and start up the game.
PTMU FOR UNPACKED GAME HAS TO BE ACTIVATED AS THE LAST MOD! OTHERWISE IT MIGHT NOT WORK AT ALL!
To run Hard AI unpacked version properly (with improved AI in career) you will need to delete all .bml files from x:\Shift2\campaign\missions. This is only for unpacked game!
Backup missions folder first then do start > search, point to x:\Shift2\campaign\missions and look for *.bml files.
It should list you all .bml files in missions folder. Select files from the list and delete them.
Finally go to x:\Shift2\campaign\missions\ca_01_01 and check if there are .bml files inside it.
There should be no .bml files, only .xml's.
Hard AI version offers 3 hard difficulty levels.
Hardest difficulty in normal version equals easiest one in Hard AI.
Hard AI folder contains complete mod; installing it on top of normal version is unnecessary.
If AI is too easy even with Hard AI mod then use lower tyre upgrade and / or detune your vehicle.
Performance Index is not matched to new grip levels so game sometimes picks too slow opponents.
