Description [hide]
XLRTDRIVE is a new tyre and physics mod for SHIFT 2. It provides more grip than vanilla game and improves car physics to be more realistic in terms of grip but not unpredictable and unstable like in other tyre mods.

The goal is to remake all of the tyres and standardize physics of all S2U and add-on cars and make the game more realistic than vanilla yet still fun to play.

This mod is inspired by G-Tyres mod by B7ake. Unfortunately B7ake's mod is not optimized for driving wheels and too high grip kills drifting and most of the fun. If you're using a keyboard or a gamepad to play SHIFT2 try G-Tyres mod instead.

- not supported yet

- Driving wheel (this mod was made using Driving Force GT set to 900 degrees)
- SHIFT2 Origin version recommended
- S2U Unofficial Community Patch
- It's recommended to turn all driving assists off in game options because they give you too much grip with this mod. Turn off anti-lock brakes because it's really hard to lock brakes in this game (like anti-lock is always partially present)

Uninstal old version and install new one using JSGME. If you didn't do that copy folders
SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED\vehicles\physics
and overwrite everything.

Activate using JSGME.

Add these lines to your
SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED\vehicles\physics\tyres\tyreshd.xml

This is really important if you want to get all add-on cars from modders to work properly without braking my mod and the game. I will post instructions for mods that are incompatible with my mod.

- Jaguar XJ220
Delete folder MODS\Jaguar_XJ220\vehicles\physics\tyres then install using JSGME.

- Audi Quattro
Delete folder MODS\Audi_Quattro\vehicles\physics\upgrades then install using JSGME.

- Dodge Viper GTS ACR
Delete folder MODS\Dodge_Viper_GTS_ACR\upgrade then install using JSGME.

- Honda Civic Type R
This mod installs all stock suspension. All files dated 2010/2011. Why? I have no idea.
Delete folder MODS\Honda Civic Type R\vehicles\physics\suspension and activate using JSGME.

- Saleen S5SR
This mod installs Tier 4 vanilla game upgrades. The car itself doesn't use the upgrade system. Well done modders ;)
Delete folder MODS\Saleen S5SR\vehicles\physics\upgrades and activate using JSGME.

Install my mod after all add-on cars are installed and you will get all needed files that were deleted.
