Vic Elford with co-driver David Stone won with this Porsche 911 T the rally Monte Carlo 1968. The car is based on the 911 S with some modifications.

1991 ccm
180 HP
925 kg

This car should use with TorqueMuliplier 1.0 in the game.ini for real physics!!

It is briliant Florenzo  but not as strong as i have hoped it would be.
It would be nice to know how you cured the liftoff problem, couse i didn't notice it so much(all other cars have it).

It is briliant Florenzo  but not as strong as i have hoped it would be.

this is prolly because it uses real weight and tire width values unlike a lot of the original cars, if they had the same correct settings then it is much more competitive ;)

Pero_Grozni
23 December 03, 21:06
Agree with that but than there is too much grip ;)

Florenzo
23 December 03, 21:33
Hm, i forget something. The Porsche 911 should be use with multiplier 1.0 for real power

Seriously
The weight distribution of the car is big time different then most of the other cars+ it is properly modeled.

Imagine
23 December 03, 23:02
+ it is properly modeled. if you meant on body i agree-my computer is slowed down at wotching a replay and most important-DRIVING IT-can it be connection with numbre of poligons modelled?

I have taken it out for a few stages now and I agree that it's a beutiful model. Maybe it could be a little more detail in the textures to be perfect. The physics are nice too, but it feels like the car is running on super glue tires... 180 bhp will defenetely make the wheels spin madly even if you have almost 60% of the weight on the driving wheels. And that is 60% of less than 1000kg...

Pero_Grozni
25 December 03, 10:44
Exactly my point, so i have astiamted new friction coeficients for the global tyre model and using them this sholud be cured.(new tire physics thread)

 Hi Santa Florenzo

Me and my vivid imagination can feel the weight of that rear engine hanging out the back on every curve. And the dashboard’s a masterpiece, as usual. Great that you’re still around and still building great cars. Thank you, und frohe Festtagen.

That's nice, just back from Chrissy hols' and more pressies :trophy:

Only had time to look at the screen shots, as good as expected. If the drive is a tight as the VW it will be a winner.

Smugly, I feel the need to say that my first guess was not too far off beam :D

does the Porsche use the new "team" tires already?
I really really like driving the new Porsche, rear wheel drifts feel really controllable on gravel and snow. Even the hair pins on Switzerland 5 are more fun and more predictable now (compared to Alfa and Volvo)

However, I don't find the Porsche faster than the Alfa or Volvo. How come?

No! The TireTeam tiremodel isn't part of the car files. This is a separeted, global tiremodel for all cars. In the carfiles you only have some tirerelated multiplicators for the values given in tiredynamics, descibing the individual behavior of the related car.

regards,
Ralph

The Porschephysics is based on real datas, and Kenkunen made a very good job
If you can wait some time, then the new Kenkunen realistic carphysics patch for all original cars will be available. Then we have a real challenge

because the alfa and the volvo dotn weigh nearly as much as they should ;) the prosche has real weight plus driver and codriver.. some fo the originals cars don't even have the correct weight for the car, let alone the driver/codriver added

Downloaded it yesterday and right away I was stunned how good is this car. Havent even imagined its possible to get that much out of RT. :OMG:
This car looks fantasic and drives even better.

Thank you for this. :)

Putting Porsche+Team Tires+GTM 1.0 all together what do you get?
Are all these mods supposed to be used together to get more realizm?
or should I just be using Ken's realistic physics for the Porsche with default tires? I have downloaded my attempt at Switz1 in Stage Times Forum. I have to drive really carefully just to make it around the track, and can't really do hairpins controllably with Porsche and Team Tires (default tires on Porsche make hairpins really fun).

hey imagine
When I say Ken's "realistic" physics, I don't mean his "original" physics
I'm not using Ken's original physics with the Porsche, I'm using the Ken's new realistic physics.
Ken's original physics were created to make on-line racing more even, plus some handling improvements
Kens new realistic physics are based on real life data (I believe?)

Hi Roger

Sorry that my first post in that forum - lets try again.

Reinstal RT after 2 years (because that fantastic 911) and I dont no what is that 1.0 torque and where to get it - thanks

Roger

Hi, Mike.......1.0 Torque is a setting that can be changed in the "Settings" section in the BZF Manager - look for game.ini and change the TorqueMultiplier from 1.3 to 1.0. Worth doing a forum search about TorqueMultiplier, lots has been written.

BTW, the tyre files in the following link change the torque setting as part of the package.

As for the tyres.......first I expect that Florenzo developed the car using the standard tyre set, but as he says for the 1.0torque. So, worth trying the car as he intended it first ;) .

For more about the tyres read this thread:

http://www.nogripracing.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1312

It's a lot to read, but I think worth the time if you are interested in a more realistic game-play.

Thans Roger I read that in the evening . I allready try 911 whit pathc 1.1 physic and with that newest tyremodel from dowloads and like both way -
whit tyremodel like brake distance much. I will change that torque and test how 911 feels whit that.

Hi

Now test RT couple days and try find simulation. Here is my dowloads what I like most. - I feel drive simulation and then see replays and they looks like real thing too.

-Florenzo 911
-official patch 1.1
-tyreteam no reset patch
-Pero Grozni global tyre modification
-whit Porsche I need tyreteam slowest AI times- need driving more
-no flarens - dont like it (sunclasses dont help in game)
-Daktak no gear indicator

I like GPL and GTR2002 (both in negative) and with this compination I like RT too

Peros tiremod and the no-reset patch aren't available any longer, 'cause a newer and better version is uploaded at the following page:
http://www.nogripracing.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1312&sid=b3f086c5eba2edb4064eef5cd579634e
The TT_realmod patches don't affect the car-related files, so you can apply them even after you have installed the car! ;)

Cheers,

Looks like brilliant one, but has a small problem. I can download the packet, but when I try to extract it I keep on getting some f*cking CRC-errors. I have tried many times with various programs, but still it doesn't work. Please fix it, and if possible, make a little smaller packet. It's not fun to download nearly 7MBs with 56k modem. florenzos earlier cars have been magnificent, so I would like to get a working version of this one also.

Florenzo
21 January 04, 16:44
Hm, 600 downloads without a CRC error. So Ken have made some things with the file or your PC makes problems. Have you the last version from ZIP program?

And the size is the size. The car is high detailed and i can´t make it smaller without lower details. Take a look to imagine, our spam queen. She downloading also big files with 56k without probs, because she know what is good ;)

Hi wille, I have downloaded and tested the file and it is fine, so the file on the server is not corrupt

there were some problems after the move to the new server where some people on slow connections got corrupted downloads because the connection was dropped after ~5 minutes, but this has been fixed for more than a week now so it shouldn't be that

please try to d/l the file again and let me know 1, how long it takes to download, and 2, the file size on your computer when its finished downloading, if it is broken again..
