hi,

If I want to take a base configured car, like the H6, and say add 2-3 things to it like a rear wing, slick tires and a computer chip upgrade for instance, is there a way to then go into a race and have all the AI cars configured the same or do I have to manually put the parts on each car?

Thanks

Good question. I seem to remember quite a long time ago now, when I wacked on all the upgrades on a certain mod I found myself on the grid with all the other cars in the same spec. However the Aus V8Supercars are all running in conventional spec compared to my souped up beast. I suspect there is something in the rfm file you can edit but I wouldn't know what it is or how it would effect online compatability.

Maybe if you change the values in the Hammer_upgrades.ini file...

Went into the .ini file and made a new section called GPX to try to create my own class. Shows up in the menus and even allows me to set up each car in GPX formula but when I go to the track they are all showing as GP3 except me showing as GPX spec. On track none of the cars show any of the uprgrades graphically but they do show up in the spinner.

Hope I can find out how to do this as I think it would be fun to race the H6 with GP1 engine, tires and gears but no aero etc., I can think of some fun combinations for several of the standard rFactor cars.

I'm certain it can be done. And probably easy too as soon as I find out how!! :)
