And they did not announce it with a "Countdown" like others did...
Thanks IDT for this great mod! Thanks for still providing free quality stuff for rFactor despite your commercial projects!

These guys are the "bees knees", Could their cars be any more driveable?! As everyone knows by now I hate this idea that if you are going to simulate a race car it has to be undriveable, have terminal corner exit oversteer and nil response to set up change. Thank the Lord for iDT who have obviously spoken to racing drivers at length, driven a real car at speed and converted that experience into a number of outstanding simulations.

Mods that spit me out of every other slow corner get deleted from my rFactor pretty quick. Some of you modder's should take note! I hope you know who you are.

Pardon the rant it's just that these guys do such a good job that it just shows how silly some other modder's are. I guess some people love the challenge of driving fast but without ever applying any throttle ever! There I go again . . . I think I just had to delete a mod, I hate to do that, really I do!

Praise the Lord for iDT . . . you said that already . . . they get it . . . OK I'll shut up.

I'm gonna reinstall rF again for this so I can compare it to RACE 07's BMW Formulas when it comes out. If this is better than the NEW Simbin is crap:down:

I don't mind different handling characteristics, alternate ways of viewing the world and I wouldn't go as far as calling anybody elses idea of car physics c***. I just wish they would take a different view of what makes a car difficult to drive at speed. The fact is that racing cars very rarely crash exiting 2nd and 3rd gear bends not because the drivers in real life have really sensitive right feet (they do) but because that kind of behaviour is easy to tune out and is rarely part of the basic design of the car. Simbin do a pretty good job as far as physics goes, even their Cobras are driveable and react to setup change. When GTR2 came out people exclaimed "these cars are too easy to drive" these are the people who help perpetuate a very unrealistic concept of race simulation. IMHO.

That's the thing that almost everyone is sure but its not.

So....

IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE HARD AS HELL TO BE REALISTIC!!!

I hate reality.

That's the reason why you're playing sim racers;)
I only hate karting:p

lol

the thing that rfactor has over gtr2 is........all you need to do to get a car into rfactor is replace a dds file

gtr2 = COMPLICATED save as dds..open gtr file....rename files.....import files.....rezize to half.....import files....ERROR LOADING SKIN........a problem has occured, exiting gtr2, sorry

but thats just me :D

I love reliastic.... but you have to allow for the fun factor as well! I agree with Snowy here.

Some mods a great fun and cars are realistic... w/o being impossible to drive.

I haven't played GTR2 much since getting rfactor...:)

Fun mod!

Ran these against AI at Macau and had a blast. They are slow enough to be fast (if that makes any sense?), even on real twisty tracks like Macau, and twitchy enough to feel "real" at the same time. Excellent work IDT!
