I guess you should first go there :

http://www.nogripracing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9724
http://www.nogripracing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9730
http://www.nogripracing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9760

Also, go to NoGrip's download section and dowload these files :

- GEditor (enables you to open .gtl files) : http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=1863

- .CAR files (.car files in game are encrypted, you can open and edit these ones with notepad) : http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=879

Then, in order to know how to do, you should have a look there : http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?t=252501

Any photo design softawre like Photoshop or The Gimp (freeware).

Also here is a tip : Google! type "open TGA" and you'll see. Same for seeking a link to The Gimp. How do you think I got all the info when I started skinning? I searched in forums and in Google.... ;)

Does your graphics card have to be an nVidia card for this to work.

I used the nVidia DDS plugin for photoshop and it works but I have an nVidia card.

Just a thought.

Nothing to do with nVidia cards I guess, as it is just a pluggin for image files. DDS isn't a nVidia format as far as I know

To open a DDS, open Photoshop first (assuming the pluggin has been installed of course). Then when in Photoshop, load you file. Hope you'll sort it out. If you still got problems, let me know how you install the pluggin and I'll see if it comes from install or not. Good luck! ;)

Also about DDS or TGA, same kind of files, I mean there are both image files like BMP or JPG etc.

Yes it does! :D The Gimp is to Photoshop what Blender is to 3DSmax. So you can go for it as well! ;)

It works for most of photo softwares. If it doesn't work with Paint Shop Pro, download and use The Gimp (free).

This "GIMP" confuses me. I downloaded the most recent "Stable" version but I can't get it to work.
There are LOADS of things to download for various versions so, which ones do I need or am I jus not finding the launch panel?
