Ok folks I have used 3dSimED to convert a gmt to mts and imported the mts into zmodeler with the mts filter.
I have moved a couple of vertices in zmodeler and exported the mts as a gmt.
I then placed the new gmt into the Lotus Elan main folder (is this the right place to put it?) sarted the GTL demo (dont have the full game yet) and when I get to "view the car" there is no car to see, if I carry on to "race" the game exits.

I have also modified a gmt in 3DSimED and saved the new gmt as before then placed it in the main Lotus Elan folder as before and the game worked fine with the gmt.

Is it zmodeler that is messing the gmt up?

Or does anyone know what the problem could be.

wrong version of .gmt probably, zmod 1 or 2? on zmodeler 2 you must export the gmt with the old headers box ticked for gtr2 format. or why not use 3dsimedit to move the vertexes ? all you have to do is explode the object then u can move each vert

Thanks r

zmod 1

Totally skint so can't justify zmod2.

I wanted to get the mesh into zmod cos I know how to use it, I don't know how to use 3DSimED for creating new meshes.
Is there a tutorial for 3DSimED somewhere?

That would solve the problem.

Could you do your work in zmod, then save as .mts, then open the mts in 3dsimed and save as gmt?

Oh I never thought of that!

Will give it a go.

Many thanks.
