Hello i`d like some advice please, I am buying a new pc and 24 inch wide-screen monitor native resolution is 1920 x 1200, i was just wondering if a pair of Nvidia 8800GTX cards running in SLI would be wasted on this monitor as im sure that just one of these cards could run games at full graphics on it without a problem.
any help please, thankyou

what games, what processor, depends on your pc. My father runs e6700, asus striker extreme, 2g ddr1066, xfx gtx xxx, w/24" acer, and he is considering another on already. he plays rfactor, gtr2, graw, rainbow six. gtr2 seems to be a little processor intensive. all his games are more than fully playable, but future dx10 games and the fps head might be worth an investment.

Thanks for the reply!
The games i mainly play at the moment are GTR2, BF 2142, BF 2 & Colin McRae.
As for processor my ordered pc is as follows:-
Quad Core Extreme QX6800 2.93GHz
Asus Striker Extreme
4Gb Corsair 800 DDR2
Nvidia 8800GTX (x2)
BenQ FP241W 24" Monitor
From what you said i am going to go for the 8800GTX SLI setup to give some growing room for future games.
Thanks again for your reply

DiRT will eat a single 8800GTX for breakfast You've already spent a ridiculous amount of money on your setup, you might as well go with the SLI setup, There are quite a few very promising games on the horizon that will love you for it.
