Autopilot Problems?

I started my first 24 race and put my autopilot on after about 2 hours. I went into the pit to switch drivers. The crew filled up on gas and put new tires on. The first thing I noticed was the autopilot floored it out of the pit stall and was going about 100 by the time it reached the end of the pits. It also seemed to be driving really jerky and was a lot slower than the AI. Is there a problem with my autopilot or do I have to "train" it to drive like me?

Is the track an add-on?

Have you updated any AIW files for the track?

If the track is one of the originals I would be very surprised if you were having any problems...

yeah it's an original track. I don't know what was going on. I tried it in another race and it seemed to work okay except it was slow. If I was the owner of the team I would fire him to find someone that could keep up with me. :D
