Yes PLZ, did a GTR2 Lemans race with LMP, GT1 and GT2 there about 2 weeks ago. Good track but not so much for multi class tho - too short and skinny.

Yeah I agree, but it is a beautiful track and suits these cars!

Does it look the same in real life.

yeah the GTR2 track is accurate to the real life thing, I go to limerock every year, I have been going there since 1995, its a really nice race track, and theres no annoying grand stands:P

Alright, i will post my pics tomorrow, when I get my hands on them on my fathers computer cause that is where they are uploaded too. Will be in forums and some in the gallery. The trip was fantastic, will tell all about it tomorrow, when everybody is here to hear it.:p Tomorrow the experience, with descriptive and big words and pics for all the fans, should've taken the corvette pics, would've pleased the vette fans, sorry guys, porsche fans will be happy though, and I experienced 5 races, FBMW and another championship I forgot the name of but it is like the parrales version to FBMW but for LMS prototype cars. Tomorrow guys, tomorrow.:)

Awesome stuff. The ALMS race is on CBS tomorrow, tape delayed of course.

In response to "Does it look the same in real life?" - I've driven it and the GTR2 addon is one of the better addons in terms of representing the real track. The sim track does not represent anywhere near the bumpyness down the front straight approaching big bend, but other than that - sweet.

...even the infield isn't bad!

It is too short though for *good* multiclass racing - GRAND AM actually runs the GT series and DPs in different races, but they have a much bigger field than ALMS.

Well actually yes in a way, in three laps first place caught up to last, very fast, was doing times in the forties, do you want me to tell you who won or keep that to myself, the race was fun, the tv won't be the same as the actual thing, hear the real cars rev up and then you get the feeling, the afterburner, you can feel it just blast through the air and shock a person, it is a nice feeling, and all the cars together driving fast, the roar of the engines, man it doesn't get better than that. The racing in this was actually better than F1, porsche was great out there and the other cars and a few accidents motivated some drivers to drive fast and in FBMW, it was beautfiful, the cars and drivers, the first place jump the light in the first race and ended up last, went up to 7th from 17th, he raced good and then the second race he was first and caught up and lapped the people, he was angry as far as I'm concerned, more details tomorrow though. Pick a bigger track for "good" multiclass racing. Lime Rock is great though for sprints, great passes and all, a fast and short track, great combination, it's all good, yes it can be good, makes things interesting really. So yes, I think.:):D

I can't believe this. ALMS is so bullshit, its like LMP2 cars are actually more agile LMP1 cars. I'm watching Le Mans series, atleast there you know that LMP1 is actually the strongest class. Which it should be but because of Audi's superior technology they adjust the Acuras and Spyders to match them. That is crap:down:

Good to see Bergmeister with the 997 RSR in winning ways:)

Yes its too bad we here in the states can't watch the Le Mans Series. Well I can with torrents and SPEED has some crappy highlights of the races in the fall but I would love to watch some live Le Mans Series action.

Yes, but in this race Audi lost patheticly, really badly, for it being superior I thought they would atleast do better, but they were being mopped up by the spyder. It wasn't even funny, audi had a bad day.

My favorite car :) Good to hear they pulled another one after a bad start to the season. I'll look for it on CBS tomorrow.

I'll be at mid-ohio for the ALMS/IRL coming up here in 2 weeks. It should be awesome. Last year the porsche spyder blew away the competition :)

wow I love it when the LMP2's beat on the LMP1's, it just shows how much the LMP2 teams have advanced through the years, and how little the LMP1 teams have advanced, besides audi...

Uhm, besides Audi there's only one LMP1 car.... and LMP1 cars have advanced, look at Peugeot and Pescarolo;) Shame they are not in ALMS:cry:

I wish speed would drop all the dumb shows and just put on wall to wall world wide racing.I hate those 1 hr. highlight shows,at least they could show the whole race.

I went to the race. What a blast. Finally got to see FBMW and IMSA Lites for the first time.

The main race itself was a blast. I haven't been to an IMSA race since Mosport in the '80s. Those Audi's were literally silent compared to the rest of them. The Vette and the Panoz were literally ground shakers!

Anyway. Here are some pics.
