View Full Version : Exiting F1
It's official for Albers... they just used a kind of polite excuse.

Spyker have dropped Dutch driver Christijan Albers with
immediate effect because of a problem with sponsorship.
Better than exiting for lack of performance (which is the sad truth). :(
Who will replace him? Will Ralf and Toyota part ways next?

Thats sad to hear because Albers is a typical victim of bad teams in modern F1. He had such great results in DTM taking 3rd and 2nd in championship results.
Look at this video and you'll see how crap the Minardi he drove was and how hard would it be to drive that shit for 60 laps

I'd like him back in DTM, because Paffett is a great talent yet he was dismissed by McLaren cuz of Hamilton and now he's back in DTM, won at Oschersleben:up:

hang on, paffet wasn't dismissed by mclaren, he's still second test driver isn't he? and rumour has it he'll be with prodrive next year.
albers was average, not the worst, but 2 and-a-bit seasons is pretty good going for someone like him, especially when a driver like alan mcnish only got one season of racing.

Albers really had a problem with one sponsor, combined this with his poor results. That's the reason.
But Hamilton wouldn't be much faster in that car...

I've heard about Christian Klien to be the successor of Albers..
I hope for Bourdais he'll be the successor.. Stupid crying baby. Doesn't want to shake hands with Doornbos. So he sucks in the SPyker, and will never get a job again..

Maybe Bourdais wasn't suppose to react like that, but who knows? Maybe Doornbos was blocking him
But if you saw Toronto's race, Doornbos clearly has some problem with Sebastien, he pushed him into the tyre wall:mad::down::down: that ain't cool

The only one who was whining was Bourdais, and yes, I would also have a problem with driver who's whining that way, and acting like an arsehole..
Besides this, Doornbos is a rookie, so he's doing really well, by leading the championship. It could be the first rookie to win the championship after Mansell..
And after reading a summary of the race:
In de eindfase van de race drong de Nederlander aan bij zijn titelrivaal Sebastien Bourdais. Door een uitglijder op het gladde asfalt kwam Doornbos in contact met de Fransman, waarbij hij hem in een spin duwde. Ook Doornbos kwam niet ongeschonden uit de strijd. Zijn beschadigde voorvleugel werd snel vervangen tijdens een bezoek aan zijn pitcrew.
Doornbos slipped because of the slippery tarmac, and touched Bourdais, so Bourdais spun, and Doornbos had to go to the pits, because of a broken frontwing.
go back to DTM i should do
but think its the same story as Hakkinen but then reverse, what happens if Albers gonna drive a Mercedes Benz McLaren

DTM would be more satisfying racing I'd think, atleast in DTM they actually race.
