Beginner's Tracks

I recently bought RT and upgraded it to 1.01.
Still, something's quite unclear: According to the manual, I should have access to 4 tracks in Russia, 3 in Kenya and 3 in Finland.

I can only drive in Russia. Is there something wrong with my installation or with the manual?

There was indeed a small error in the manual. An easy solution to unlock all the cars and tracks: type KALJAKOPPA in the box where you enter the player name. Press the Enter key, the name will disappear, you can enter your normal name again and use all the cars and tracks.

Does anyone know which *regular* event unlocks what?

complete the russian rally in championship mode and it opens the kenya rally, and so on, but depending on what skill level you choose it has a different number of tracks for each rally, to get all the tracks then you have to complete each rally in expert mode

... And what about the cars?

if you win a championship (all 5 rallys) in a car then you win the FTC version of that car, so you have to complete the championship 11 times (once in each normal car) to win all the FTC cars

thats all that are available in beginner mode, try inter or expert to see the other cars :)

Come on, use the KALJAKOPPA-unlock, unless you have a LOT of spare to dedicate to RT. I think it's very helpful to get to the meaner machines early on, because there's only so much the easiest cars can teach you.

But, of course, nothing beats a thorough knowledge of the tracks (which personally I still have a long way to achieve) and understanding the theories of handling. And it's quite frustrating to make donuts on the Stratos if the holding skill just isn't there yet! ;)
