a video showing the creation of a track from start to finish. 40 minutes long.
It uses the xvid codec, and is in 1024*768 resolution.
I use a lot of free plugins in this video, you can get them here;

This is very nice help.

But i can't understand how you make the line in the video at 1:52. My line is straight line point-to-point, how i can make so it curves :confused:

Trying to make some stage :wave:

I am not going to watch the video to answer, but I would guess that you need to create a line, initial type "smooth" drag type "smooth.

Click the mouse at several points as you make the line, then you can grab those points (in the modify panel) and move them around to make the shape you want.

I mean this kind a line. http://koti.mbnet.fi/midi/rt/trackmaking_line.avi

In the sequence, the first thing he does is right click over the snap button (magnet shape) and set the grid size to every 1.0M, then change the snap from vertex to grid (you will change this back to vertex when editing later on ;) ).

Then he makes the line from the create tab (making sure you are working in Top View). Each point on the line is a click of the mouse.

Basically follow what he does, in the create panel, make a line (notice in the pull down he has "splines" selected) initial type "corner" (I would still use smooth here - but you can change the vertexes after making the line) drag type "bezier" and have the snap to grid on. I have just tried this and did not get the same look, I had to right click on the vertexes and change them to "bezier", which gives you that shape he grabs to adjust the curve.

I am not clear why he hit the render scene button before he went to the modify tab. Not necessary I don't believe.

Also look through help and you will get some clues.

No problem, it took me ages to start to get a handle on Max :D

There is just so much you can do in so many different ways, it's not always easy to find it in help. :confused:

I discovered that if you simply click, it creates a sharp corner, but if you click and drag for a little, then click the next point, it makes a smooth curve.
