By decals I mean sponsors like BBS, Dunlop, etc.
Or is Google our best friend?

Yes brands of the world will be your best friend if you start skinning.

There is a great place to find just about any car maker logo ever made. A-Z makes, models, special vehicles, aftermarket tuners, bla bla bla. Good size & clarity.
But the best supply of logos can be found by typing...say.....Racing logos into Google. you will get something like 3+ million pages. you'd be suprised by what you will find. I cruise Google images all the time just to get an idea or two. ;)
That one the Kneegro posted up there is good as well.

Most of the time I stick to "Brands of the world" and if I can't find it there, I make them myself in "illustrator" Not easy, but on the other hand lots of fun to do. Maybe even more fun than making skins for the cars.
Webchantier vector image portal, I find very useful
