I was 1 sec off McDanger last night with a 51.4 in a lovely Martini Saleen. Stayed that way fro a while until he went out and got a a 49. somehow i feel quite competitive i've changed my driving style and thats driving barefoot :eek:. Even the lovely Castrol Nissan 350z i managed a 55. something.

I had an offline session the other day in the Ferrari 550 and managed to get down to a very low 51 sec in qualifying (almost sub-51 sec). I did a short race against the computer cars and was running 51-52 sec with medium tyres and 20 laps of fuel during the race (with tyre wear and fuel use set to 3x). :D

I didn't do much to change the set-up, just increased the revs. For the race I'll need to get some help with set-ups from you guys once I know which car I've been lucky enough to get. ;)

Through the magic of the NoGrip server tonight I managed several laps just the wrong side of 50 seconds (couldn't quite dip below that) in the Ferrari 550 again. :D:D:D Great to be on the track with lots of fair racers. :up:

This is a frustrating track to hotlap for me, as I don't even know what I'm supposed to be doing! lol.
Deep and tight into those hairpins? or wide trying to maintain a little bit of speed? From other games, possibly TOCA lol! I remember the conventional slow in fast out leading onto straights things was a bit of falsehood on this track,.... but maybe that was just that games arcade physics!

either way it's clearly gonna be an absolute blast to race with cars all over the place!:roflmao:

follow the darker lines, i find there is more grip but that could just be my imagination :rolleyes:

Viper CC is the best G3 by far on this track. It can do 52's, where a Z3 and Gillet, and 996Cup can't get higher than 54's I think. And the Lotus 56's?

43.5 is about my race pace limit in the morgan. I tried one extreme in setup after another and it makes hardly any difference to the car. I wish it had some anti-roll bars.

As per usual with Dunlops it makes almost no difference if you have softs, mediums or hard compoud. did a 43.8 on all of them

Yep, I can confirm this track has the lap bug - it will always end after 46laps.

So, based on Gaiajohan's pace we should be looking at 68-69 laps? He's going to have a lot of traffic to contend with.. but the track is wide.

Best time I could manage last night in the Saleen was a 51.8 in qualifying set-up, nowhere near my F550 times. :(

I'm finding it a bit tricky stopping the Saleen from spinning coming out of the corners. I just need to be a wee bit lighter on the gas, I suppose. ;)

have been playing with my set up for the Biturbo, started off doing low 52's then after tweaking the set up a bit (and saving over my original set up) managed to get that up to high 53's! Great! lol.

To make matter's worse I got frustrated and went on a banzai lap, throwing the car around like a hooligan, and a PB in that car of 0:51.777 the second lap i stuffed it in the barriers of course!

I love porsche's but just can't get my head around setting them up.

P.S that time of 51 secs, the car was pretty much at a standstill on the two hairpin apex's - It's just mental to drive.

Thats one thing i'm suffering with the 550 at the moment on the tight hairpins. I just got to brake alot earlier than normal and coast round then power out. :)

Im not sure about the pit space numbers also on this track.Im saying this because some cars can do the entire race without pit but i think its better to do it because of the tyres.I dont think that even full hards can handle one hour:eek:

i think we need to make this race either 70 or 71 laps, i am pretty sure thats about as close to an hour as anyones going to guess.

i look in my mirrors quite alot but these gt cars on this track come up behind on the slower cars from nowhere, i have been caught out on a few occassions. :o
gt cars can power past the slow cars easy, out of all the corners, so please gt cars dont ram me in my snail to get passed. :cool:

I got the Morgan down to 53.1 with a lot of set-up work. Maybe with a little fine tuning of the dampers I can get to a 52.9 race pace, but I'm on my limits.

I have returned to a more manageable set-up now which I can happily race with, I just wish I could squeeze out a better qualifying lap. :confused:

I've done that plenty of times: get a good set up, do a PB, tweak a bit more here, a bit more there and then whoa! suddenly you've created an unmanagable monster!:roflmao:

Can't go quicker than 51.2 in the Bi Turbo, race pace no where near that though!

I was getting instant lock-up (and spin :roflmao:) under braking after a few laps, turns out I was getting too much heat into them. I opened up the brake ducts a bit and I got things back to manageable levels. I wasted about 30 minutes of track time working out what was going wrong, though. :mad:

i am a little confused with my race pace, with race fuel, soft tyres and revs lowered by 3 notches i have managed a 53.2 & my pb qualify time is 53.1 :confused:

I've got Dunlops, if i run softs they overheat from being too soft, if i run hards they overheat from sliding. So I guess i'm stuck on Mediums. I get the same laptimes on all compounds anyway.

No stops sounds like a sensible plan :up: But I'll have to test it out before the race.

i think ill have to do 3 stops
1 for tires and gas
2 for just gas hopefully
man after hearing 51 in a biturbo
i know i need to step it up
i can get a 51 but i should be getting
like a 50 or 49 right
maybe a little more speed through the corners
and a better setup but im not sure what most of the tools are for
oh well ill get it worked out

Finally got a 53 range with the cup porsche and i wanna thanks Digital for the setup.About shooting the braking zone.Yesterday i saw some doing that and thats not good:down: Please be carefull on overtaking the slowest cars in the braking zone ok? you have lots of time and space in the straights to do it.I dont trust very much in my tyres so maybe i will do 1 stop to change it.:p

first corner may be eventful, gt have to break sooo much earlier than anything else.

an take the corner wider, to prevent spinning.

Im expecting a 1 stop in my 575, can't fuel to finish, an im gettin around 50.1 with 30 laps of fuel. not bad pace.

I'll do whole race without stop. Can do 75laps on one tank, and tyre wear is that low, that 150laps should be possible.

Well, my race pace is either going to be in the 51sec range or the 52sec range. It just depends on what kind of strategy I go with. I am looking forward to racing with you all tomorrow.
