Heres the question, this is probably more aimed at Australians, but here goes.

Do you think the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix should stay at Albert Park?
or go back to the birth place of the Australian GP, the Adelaide street circuit?

id like to here your opinions

Personally, i think it should go back to where it began in Australia in 1985 :)
i think it gave more action for the fans, its a tight, fast & tricky street circuit

basically,

Adelaide
or Albert
i accidentally did the optiopns wrong :P

Yeah definately back to Adelaide. I live here and the atmosphere around the whole place was unreal - you could hear the cars if you worked in the city and even from suburbs, there was a real buzz about it all - in Melbourne it kind of goes unoticed. I think a lot of the drivers also really enjoyed the circuit here, being bumpy added to the challenge. Although, economically I think F1 is too big for Adelaide now, but I'd love to see it back here for sure. At least we still have the Clipsal 500 V8 Supercar race and Classic Adelaide Rally.

It definitely should go back to Adelaide, for several reasons. Albert Park, although being a historically significant street circuit, really is quite boring from a spectators point of view, and doesn't really produce exciting racing which Adelaide does. In 1985, the majority of F1 teams and drivers voted Adelaide as the best and most professional event on the calender, which is a massive honour to bestow on any event in it's first year, especially in a high stakes game like F1. The Adelaide Clipsal 500 has one of the highest attendance records for any V8Supercar event, and judging by the tv coverage is probably the best organized, second only to Bathurst. If it's true F1 is worried about attendance at the Aussie GP, moving back to Adelaide only makes sense.

BTW, I was going to vote in the poll, but the wording makes no sense given the poll options.

down under has so many wonderful race circuits ( bathurst, phillip island, ....), why must it be a race through a city park ?
I really liked Adelaide way before it went to Melbourne and still do not like Melbourne but Adelaide ain`t a favourite circuit of mine either.
Now if it was at Surfers Paradise :D .....

I thought the Adelaide GP was great. A really good atmosphere. I was there when Keke Rosberg, and Nigel Mansell both blew their tyres at the end of Brabham straight (1986 I think). I actually went on the track after the race, and I have a Carbon Fibre strand from one of their tyres. I assume it's a piece of Mansell's, as he had the biggest blow out. Any way the only problem for me with Adelaide, was that as soon as I got back to Melbourne, I tried to book accommodation for the next year, and was told there was nothing within 37 kilometers of Adelaide. So needless to say, I didn't go back the following year.

Surfers is crap, and F1 at Bathurst? That would be interesting. Most circuits in Aus are too short for F1, Philip Island would be good, but it's too short.

Surfers is definitely not crap, its a gr8 circuit for the V8s and ChampCars

Surfers Paradise would be amazing. Formula 1 in the US has gone downhill ever since Long Beach was removed from the series. So maybe the actual track isn't perfect but there is plenty of room to be modified.
As amazing as it would be to see F1 at Bathurst the safety aspect makes it a bit out of the question, even Formula fords don't race there anymore to my knowledge (please feel free to correct me on that score, they never seem to make the telecast if they are there).
Adelaide is a great track, but i think the V8s Clipsal 500 is the perfect race for the city. imagine a two weekend F1/Champ Car double header like they do in Montreal!!! F1 is about identifiability with location. Monaco, Singapore and Surfers Paradise, works perfectly.
