Well only got in at last minute. aproaching pits for stop and looking good for third when suddenly found myself half way down pit lane doing 100mph! Got stop go!

Started to work my way back through the field but car kept jumping down the track, ended up broadsided somebody because suddenly found myself 100 metres nearer corner than I should have been.

Sorry to whoever it was but I wasn't in control!

Guess it was lag or something but I shouldn't get lag with 10meg broadband and never had before.

But was fun while it lasted. Cheers all and sorry for people I hit towards the end.

Well, what can I say. Was hoping for a good fight with Dav_ral. Times were utterly equal in qualy.

He got a problem in lap 2? And yeah, I had no real opponents anymore. Lapped everybody at least 3 laps.

Didn't have fastest lap, as Dav_ral had a 6tenth faster lap.

Got touched by Peter McClarnon in the first corner, no worries for that, and had some fights with Geordie. Think I passed everyone quite clean.

Gotta say, i was hoping for a fight with gaiajohan, like he wanted a fight with me.

My problems began at the start, cause the lights didn't go on, an i was pushed over the line, got a stop go, an i was 5th at the first corner. Then, as i was pulling in for my stop/go, i was third, an wheni slowed for pit limiter, i was smashed into by someone unknown to me. This damaged my car heavily, an i took the stop go.

Aftewr the stop go i was dead last, an with a damaged rear, struggled back to the pist to find another player getting repairs. I waited, and lost a further 3 laps, and ready to fight back. After that i spent the following 63 laps fighting my way through the field with relative ease, the only person i didn't unlap myself against was gaiajohan.

Well doen to him, and i apologise to those who i tripped over when i was unlapping myself, the carse wer a mismatch on epic proportions, and i could not slow down fast enough to avoid you! :o

Got a 4th place finish but dissapointed after first lap shunt when overtaking Hard jack :down:. Put me down to 19th, battled back after some struggle with understeer. Closing back on Hard Jack close racing for number of laps :up:Came up behind Jack Stand in 12 thought i had the run, was carrying more speed, he was struggling out of corner we came together and 3rd was out of reach. :(

Peter gave chase but wasn't able to close the gap :roflmao:

That was a little frustrating, had a great start went into turn two, made my normal approach into the corner and got broadsided. I do really apologize to all the people that hit me, after I spun my fps went to unimaginable levels, im talking 2-10 fps. As I went into turn one the next lap my fps was alright, but exiting turn one it started lagging badly again and I couldn't get out of dav_ral's way, gotta apoligize for that. I should have stuck around a little longer too see if the fps would improve, but there really is no reason to cry over spilled milk is there?

That was a crap race, well atleast it was a good finishing position but not what i really deserved. I should've been 5 or around that area.

At the starting i got a jump on a lot of cars especially on the yellow corvette but it just happened to slide in my way, i gained 1 position from that intead of more :D, i went into the first corner trying to be careful and come out clean but intead i hit oppis, much apologies oppis :(,

After that scrap in the first corner i was 18th and from there i passed my way up to 7th, would've been 6th but MCD proved himself the better driver, at this point my car was damaged a fair amount but i still drove faster than a lot.

Karlos was right behind me in 8th, on the first corner and the haipains he came close sometimes passing but didn't get it but sadly on the firt corner he hit me and i lost 4 places to 11th :), Fernando caught up to me lol:D and a blue 575 hit me and damaged my car up severely and i had to go in pits :(, when i came out i was 20th.

I drove and drove unlapped myself from geordie yayy me and other people and i made it up 10th and from there it was a boring race and i finished in that position, great pos for firsst race, i knew i had it in me, although i could've been 3rd or 4th or 5th lol

Last but not least thank you karlos for creating the fun race and everybody for driving well :)

Especially to you JOHAN GOOD JOB, that was a wonderful race you did, you lapped me 4 times lol :roflmao:

There was some new guys with us today,i didnt know them so i tryed to put them with fast cars to see how they handle.Despite the warnings,there were some less good things and i hope that this wont happen next time.Glad that the carpack work very well and im thinking already in our next fun race.
P.S Slick race with us the entire race its a world record that will make Lowndes go crazy :)

You had no front wing anymore mate, because of that you should have had trouble with understeer.

I had an eventful qualifying - PC crashed to desktop halfway through my first set of laps. Got back in again only to have my PC slowdown in a big way during my next set of laps and had to reboot. Thought I wasn't going to get back in but managed it with about 8 minutes of Quali left. Happy with P6 under the circumstances. :up:

Slow start off the line and got to T1 a few places down and just avoided being collected by Slick1 on his way to taking out oppis. Coming out of the turn I was sandwiched between a flying viper and Todster's MC12 . End of lap 1 I was running in P6, close behind Todster (a bit too close...)...

...coming up to T2 on lap 2 Todster was on my right and moving across to take the racing line. I braked but not soon enough and rammed the back of Todster sending him spinning off backwards where he lost his rear spoiler on the wall. Big apologies for spoiling your race Todster, my one aim tonight was to avoid taking anyone off. My only defence is that when I looked at the replay I don't think your brake-lights were working. (No excuse, though).

After that I had a good battle with P McClarnon's Corvette for a while and managed to get up to P4. Some laps futher on couple of spins saw me drop back to P6 but I eventually battled back to P4 again.

I was beginning to feel good about my one-stop strategy as I got to lap 31 with enough fuel for another 9 laps with the tyres still working well. Car was handling fine, even with some front-end damage as I later saw on the replay.

At the end of lap 32 I came into the start-finish straight to see about 6 slower cars ahead. I didn't notice a spinning jhoeckman who was going backwards in the middle of the track by the time I reached him. I hit him full-on and lost my front splitter and front right tyre. Race over.

I can take some positives from this race - it was a good learing one for me and I think I managed to race cleanly apart from the incidents above. I think I was patient getting past back markers and got out of the way when the blue flags were flying. Any feedback will be gratefully received.

Congratulations to all the finishers, hopefully I'll be given the chance to race with you guys again. :D

You were driving the saleen the williams saleen right? Well yeah i braked up to avoid you only to almost going to another porsche tried to avoid and avoided and ended up going into oppis, it's not an excuse but that is what happened to me.

Got a decent start made about three or four places approaching turn 1. Upon entering turn 1 I got tagged by APEXTECHUSA which sent me spinning. That put me back to 27th. In turn 2 I was caught by surprise by a recovering Fernando and I got flipped by Jack Stand III's Mosler but there was nothing he could do about it considering how close he was when I tagged Fernando. That had a quite negative effect on my aero so I lost a lot of pace and decided to fight it out because I didn't fancy taking a pit stop. Out of turn three the ensuing carnage of a three car collision gave me three positions with another gained into turn four by a seemingly recovering Ace_Racer. On the exit I catch sight of a parked BuRnY to give me another spot. I was also gifted another place by a recovering TODSTER. On the next lap Oppis took to the pits to grant me another spot.

A lap later Fernando let both myself and PeterRST by into turn 1. I ended up staring at the gearbox of that TVR for lap after lap. Mad Hamish and PeterRST collided in turn four allowing me by but because of my aero damage he got by again a few laps later. I got by him again into turn 1 but he got tagged by one of the GT's allowing me to concentrate on chasing the cars ahead.

For a while I was left on my own until APEXTECHUSA decided to have some fun with me but that only lasted for about a lap before he fell back again. A few laps later I caught sight of the spinning TVR of jhoeckman luckily I reacted quick enough to avoid him. The net result of everything so far was P13. JesterGT retired to give me P12 with SQUALO79 lagging out to give me P11. Steve_300ZX's engine let go on him a lap later to give me P10.

A few laps later with some more retirements I was up to P7. At this point it was not looking like much else would happen but Karlos had other ideas. In my attempts to pass him PeterRST closed up behind and when I made a mistake in turn 1 he took full advantage of it. Needless to say I tried my utmost to get back past but every time I tried a move he had his car in the right place to prevent me from accelerating past and even when i managed to get by a few times he just powered back past on the following straight. Eventually he past both Karlos and I thus leaving it up to us to sort out 6th and 7th places. It was getting very difficult to make a pass stick at this stage but I ended up tagging Karlos lightly on the exit of turn 1 which gave me P6 and thats where I finished the race.

Congrats to Gaiahohan on the win, Sege for 2nd, and Hardjack79 for third.

Well it was certainly a fun race for me.
My race pretty much consisted of a near 60min battle with Greg :up:
I was behind you from lap 3, and was pretty much there or thereabouts until the lagging pmcclarnon took you out...
Sorry for that little tap in turn one, in that understeery porka i was having to go in slow and try and exit fast from the turns, I think you were (rightly) cautious due to the traffic jam in front of you and because of my wide line into the corner i didn't see your back bumper 'til it was in my face!
Anyway my fault so apologies, obviously I waited for you to get going again. I hope that didn't annoy you too much as I had an absolute ball trying to get by you! Just about had the legs on the straights but couldn't really make a lunge (without taking a big risk :nono:) and quite a few times your line put you in front of me on corner exit, so i had to get out of the gas momentarily. Great Driving mate, I always thought I'd get by you, but looking at the amount of laps i was trying, i reckon unless your tyres suddenly went away it would have been a sure bet you would have held on to second place! :up:

Sorry to oppis (again:o) for sliding into at the kink on the back straight. I normally took that corner wider and smoother but wasn't able to that time, I didn't realise the impact put you into the barriers :cry: as another porsche took up place in my mirrors, i thought that was you so carried on!

I was very lucky all through that race, I could have come off worse when me an oppis touched, i could have punctured a tyre on the three occasions i hit the famous wall, and i managed to hang on to second while only doing a fastest lap on 53:1!!! (i think). ...seems like everyone else had problems! lol.

Well done Johan, you were alway calm sensible and fast when lapping me! great race!:up:

Some of us have had these fps issues before myself included the solution was to turn on simple debris collision under options->advanced

For me even that doesn't help. When going thru sandtraps fps is lower than 10. When at start there's door banging lower than 20. So I had to learn to live with it, just like I played CS 1.5 with 18 fps:roflmao:

sounds like he was lagging or something Greg, looking at the replay it looked like he was asleep at the wheel! I doubt he would have knowingly gone into the corner like that.

Well on my old machine an Athlon 2400+ with 1GB ram and a Radeon 9700 it made a massive difference as I got considerably better FPS whenever a collision happened on trace compared to having it switched off.

I got a good start from 18th, dived right to avoid a lagged out sege just as the pit straight narrowed. I hit the wall and was then clipped by Burny but there was nothing he could do about it. I spun and was last going into turn one.

Luckily there was some chaos down at T1 for me to drive through with no scratches. I also got through the mess at the chicane and found myself in 13th behind young Slick, with Oppis making moves in my mirrors. At 225 in my replay Todster flew across in front of Slick. I was shocked at the time, but in the replay he has no rear wing, so that explains it. Slick was unlucky to get caught up. I had to take evasive action and turned right. In the choas of avoiding that crash i ended up turning right into oppis, sorry man it all happened in a heartbeat. I carried on not realising oppis had spun and lost his splitter because this :cry:

I tried put pressure on the young slick, but it was not working. In fact I tried to hard in T1 and bumped him on the exit, but i came of worse and lost a place to Steve_300zx. Am I rattled yet! As I bounced out of the last turn McDanger took another place, no, no, no, I can't be 13th. Oh wait, I started 18th! Yay i'm 13th :eek:

As cars dropped out the stakes were raised. I was in P11, that meant McDanger had stolen my top 10 finish. I will get him some time in the next 50 laps I swear it.... Oh look jhoeckman is ahead, I'll just pass him. Well his TVR was a match for my Morgan. From about 675 in the replay you can see me riding his bumper. But he would not fall to the pressure. He got one lap with no pressure as we let gaiajohan through. I tried scare him by turning early for turn1, it had not effect. I tried scare him by locking up my brakes and leaving smoke trails. Again he did no make any mistakes. Mr Jhoeckman, I take my hat of to you. Eventually at 915 I made a clean pass up the inside of T1. Apparently into 9th, with Slick ahead. Unfinished business :p

He obviously had faith in the Porsche RSR that McLaren had prepared for there young up and coming driver. Eventually at 1160, i took a stab up the inside as he locked a front wheel. He still manage to turn in on me and the front of my car bumped his door, but we both got through the turn, only I was now 8th. But the kid slipstreamed me and took 8th back by the end of the straight :confused: I was impressed and shocked at the same time.

I spun on the exit of T1 as a result. Doh. Now i'm in the middle of a 5 car battle for 10th, with the jhoeckman ahead. Damn now I have to pass him again. All 5 cars caught up with slick, this was getting scary, there can't of been 1 second separating us all at 1350. I got inside jhoeckman only to gently hit the back of a slow slick. I lost the place again. At 1400 I repeated my earlier T1 pass of jhoeckman and cleanly got by again. I'm in 8th chasing Slick again. Unfinished business :p

At 1510, slick went too deep into T1, I also went a bit wide. As the front of my car slide outwards, slick was turning in across me. End results I spun him out. With a pack of cars behind I had to keep moving. I kept going and to my suprise gapped the pack behind me easily, 7th looked secure, but I was pushing for 6th. Then I got 6th as someone either left or pitted. Then just after half way I finally made an error. I crashed in the chicane and was 8th when I got it pointing the right way. Before long I was 6th again with pitstops and retirements. As more fell by the wayside i was 4th :eek: and about to lap a bunch of people!!!!!

As I went to go inside Digital on the entry to the chicane (2675 on my replay) He squeezed me a little, or else didn't see me. I end up going head to head with the tires. I severly damaged the front of the car and some of the supsension and spun in front of a pack of cars. I tried reverse offline quickly, but ended up putting another dent in the door of slick. Jaysus he must think i'm out to get him at this stage :roflmao:

I got moving in 6th with no front downforce, the car pulling left, and the front left always locking on the brakes. Also Sidewinder16 was on my rear bumper. I nearly spun it each time i exited the last turn due to the damage. At 3980, sidewinder got passed at the last turn. But like Slick before me I just stayed in the slipstream and waiting for T1. I did a blocking pass as with the re-modeled front end I practiclly had to stop the car to turn it.

PeterRST joined the party on my bumper. I was holding onto 6th if it killed me. Then it turned into 4th as people dropped. If only i can hold them up another 10 laps :p I tried to be fair but with the shocking handling of my car it may have looked like a block or 2, but i was not intentional. At 3060 sidewinder got me, but the only part of my car that still worked was the engine, so I retook the place on the drive to the next turn, but I had to brake early due to the damage, luckily I kept the place. A lap later Sidewinder bashed the right side of my car.

Now the steering wheel was just for decoration, the car intended to go straight and had to be coaxed to do any turning at all. PeterRST got me at the end of that lap. Sidewinder took another 2 laps to make a move that stuck. As he passed I put another dent in the front of the car. This was shocking, it was like trying to drive a trolley with 500 BHP!!!

McDanger got me on the last turn and I finished in 8th. I tried spin the car on the straight, but I had so little steering I could not manage it. Could not even do a donut :rolleyes:

18th to 8th, with the possiblity of 3rd or 4th if the traffic was a bit nicer. I'll settle for that :)

I've got it on simple debris but still get quite a slowdown, but then i've never even tried it without! I notice that just even tyre smoke cost me fps, perhaps special effects setting is also part of the problem?

Did i lag into turn one? damn didn't realise that, ive just got a new cable connection and fancy router, everything seemed fine to me, will have to check the server replay and see how bad it was.
but a few people were lagging actually, in practise etc. That seems to be getting more frequent lately.

Ah..Sorry for relieving you of your rear wing wrex, after you hit jhoekman. But due to the impact you stopped really suddenly, and with full braking i couldn't turn to avoid you. whoops.

Well that sucked. Managed to get from the reserves into a race slot albeit driving a Mosler, a car that I've never touched before. Went through half an hour of practice trying to find a setup that would stop understeer, struggled through qualifying then with 10 minutes left decided to switch off the virtual mirror and go back to real mirrors to try and get some peripheral vision back. Anyway, escaped out and made the changes then could not get back on the server due to it being full.

I got moving in 6th with no front downforce, the car pulling left, and the front left always locking on the brakes. Also Sidewinder16 was on my rear bumper. I nearly spun it each time i exited the last turn due to the damage. At 3980, sidewinder got passed at the last turn. But like Slick before me I just stayed in the slipstream and waiting for T1. I did a blocking pass as with the re-modeled front end I practiclly had to stop the car to turn it.

PeterRST joined the party on my bumper. I was holding onto 6th if it killed me. Then it turned into 4th as people dropped. If only i can hold them up another 10 laps :p I tried to be fair but with the shocking handling of my car it may have looked like a block or 2, but i was not intentional. At 3060 sidewinder got me, but the only part of my car that still worked was the engine, so I retook the place on the drive to the next turn, but I had to brake early due to the damage, luckily I kept the place. A lap later Sidewinder bashed the right side of my car.

Now the steering wheel was just for decoration, the car intended to go straight and had to be coaxed to do any turning at all. PeterRST got me at the end of that lap. Sidewinder took another 2 laps to make a move that stuck. As he passed I put another dent in the front of the car. This was shocking, it was like trying to drive a trolley with 500 BHP!!!

McDanger got me on the last turn and I finished in 8th. I tried spin the car on the straight, but I had so little steering I could not manage it. Could not even do a donut :rolleyes:

18th to 8th, with the possiblity of 3rd or 4th if the traffic was a bit nicer. I'll settle for that :)


This is one of the good things about Norisring, because of the simple easy turns you can go on with damage on the car.

In 06 DTM race an Audi driver smashed the front and had it removed, so very reduced front downforce but kept it going and finished the race in top 10

Yeah have to thank steve, karlos, and fane for the car pack, the car assignments, and most of all the race. I only stayed in two laps, but i had a great week, in the practice server, qualifying, and those two laps.

Qualifying didn't go too bad and got my time down to a 50.4 i think although i did manage a 49 in practice all this week. Track was very busy and getting a good clean lap i was baulked by slower cars still 4th wasn't bad.

Now my race start went quite well suprised a napping Dav in his 575 and propelled to 2nd but due to a crash somewhere on the start i started lagging and my fps dropped which enabled Obiwan to get by. I think on the end of the lap Dav was coming up behind and going to pass i think near the pitwall but for some strange physics went on and looked like he bounced off me and shot into the pits:confused:. I carried on and gave chase after Obiwan. The gap going up to 4.0 secs at times then down to 1.9 due to traffic. I got held up a few times as i tried to take it easy through traffic but i saw Obiwan getting away and in my haste to catch up quickly i came up alongside to lap PeterRST into T1 i think and tapped him into a spin. I was going to wait for you to get going again but decided not too as could cause a bigger pile up. So sorry for that Peter. This dropped my gap to Obiwan to 10 secs. Still chasing after Obiwan and lapping along the way i come up to Slick13 and another weird thing with the physics it looked like i tapped him into a spin. Sorry Slick but from my replay i'm about a inch away from your rear but my line was wrong for the corner.:confused:

I pitted around the halfway mark my pitstop strategy was wrong i only had enough fuel for 20 laps and wish i had put more in the start :(.This dropped me down to 18th and supirse suprise i got a speeding in pitlane so went straight back to pits after that next lap. This dropped me way down now and had a lot to do to claw back. Using the power of the 550 i passed quite a few people and was making progress i came up to Greg and J Hoekman and passed Greg on the outside but coming up i think to T1 i was carrying way too much speed and slammed on the brakes, dropped anchor everything to avoid hitting JHoeckman but i hit him hard causing him to slam into the wall. So so sorry mate i should of held back my mistake. I waited for him to get going but then Sege rammed me losing my rear wing. Tried to get it to the pits but as i had no rear wing i did a full 360 spin pointed right way and pitted.:roflmao:For me now a podium was well out of it so tried to go for a top ten finish clawed my way up to 17th and had a cheeky little scrap with Oppis on the way too. All in all i enjoyed it and it was a good experience been at the front and lapping people. Thank for the carpacks and thanks organisers for a great fun race :D

That was fun, a bit messy but fun

I got a good start from 18th, dived right to avoid a lagged out sege just as the pit straight narrowed. I hit the wall and was then clipped by Burny but there was nothing he could do about it. I spun and was last going into turn one.

Luckily there was some chaos down at T1 for me to drive through with no scratches. I also got through the mess at the chicane and found myself in 13th behind young Slick, with Oppis making moves in my mirrors. At 225 in my replay Todster flew across in front of Slick. I was shocked at the time, but in the replay he has no rear wing, so that explains it. Slick was unlucky to get caught up. I had to take evasive action and turned right. In the choas of avoiding that crash i ended up turning right into oppis, sorry man it all happened in a heartbeat. I carried on not realising oppis had spun and lost his splitter because this :cry:

I tried put pressure on the young slick, but it was not working. In fact I tried to hard in T1 and bumped him on the exit, but i came of worse and lost a place to Steve_300zx. Am I rattled yet! As I bounced out of the last turn McDanger took another place, no, no, no, I can't be 13th. Oh wait, I started 18th! Yay i'm 13th :eek:

As cars dropped out the stakes were raised. I was in P11, that meant McDanger had stolen my top 10 finish. I will get him some time in the next 50 laps I swear it.... Oh look jhoeckman is ahead, I'll just pass him. Well his TVR was a match for my Morgan. From about 675 in the replay you can see me riding his bumper. But he would not fall to the pressure. He got one lap with no pressure as we let gaiajohan through. I tried scare him by turning early for turn1, it had not effect. I tried scare him by locking up my brakes and leaving smoke trails. Again he did no make any mistakes. Mr Jhoeckman, I take my hat of to you. Eventually at 915 I made a clean pass up the inside of T1. Apparently into 9th, with Slick ahead. Unfinished business :p

Young Slick was driving well, and not at all phased by my Green and Yellow Morgan in his mirrors. He obviously had faith in the Porsche RSR that McLaren had prepared for there young up and coming driver. Eventually at 1160, i took a stab up the inside as he locked a front wheel. He still manage to turn in on me and the front of my car bumped his door, but we both got through the turn, only I was now 8th. But the kid slipstreamed me and took 8th back by the end of the straight :confused: I was impressed and shocked at the same time.

I spun on the exit of T1 as a result. Doh. Now i'm in the middle of a 5 car battle for 10th, with the jhoeckman ahead. Damn now I have to pass him again. All 5 cars caught up with slick, this was getting scary, there can't of been 1 second separating us all at 1350. I got inside jhoeckman only to gently hit the back of a slow slick. I lost the place again. At 1400 I repeated my earlier T1 pass of jhoeckman and cleanly got by again. I'm in 8th chasing Slick again. Unfinished business :p

At 1510, slick went too deep into T1, I also went a bit wide. As the front of my car slide outwards, slick was turning in across me. End results I spun him out. With a pack of cars behind I had to keep moving. I kept going and to my suprise gapped the pack behind me easily, 7th looked secure, but I was pushing for 6th. Then I got 6th as someone either left or pitted. Then just after half way I finally made an error. I crashed in the chicane and was 8th when I got it pointing the right way. Before long I was 6th again with pitstops and retirements. As more fell by the wayside i was 4th :eek: and about to lap a bunch of people!!!!!

As I went to go inside Digital on the entry to the chicane (2675 on my replay) He squeezed me a little, or else didn't see me. I end up going head to head with the tires. I severly damaged the front of the car and some of the supsension and spun in front of a pack of cars. I tried reverse offline quickly, but ended up putting another dent in the door of slick. this applies to all the faster cars tonight not just wrexer.

braking points are what they are, just because your trying to overtake slower cars does not shift your braking zone further down the track. this you really should have learnt by now. why not wait until after the corner and use your power to overtake?

when lapping cars why why why wait for a car you have spun when its not for position, where is the logic in that?

tonight was about testing the car pack but that doesnt excuse anyone from driving in a respectfull manner.

Ahhhh, so it was you then! Well, shit happens, no problem, mate! ;):D

The only thing that really annoyed me at one point was that some people in GT cars were lapping me several times in a row. But not because they were so quick (like Johan :P). No, they always went by on the straights, spun out in the turns, closed the gap on the next straight and then lapped me again.

Letting people pass like five times in a row because they're not able to do clean laps somehow messed up the whole race for me and significantly raised my lap times and largened the gap to the cars ahead.

You were driving the saleen the williams saleen right? Well yeah i braked up to avoid you only to almost going to another porsche tried to avoid and avoided and ended up going into oppis, it's not an excuse but that is what happened to me.

I was in the blue and white "Denso" Saleen and you did indeed manage to miss me in turn 1. :up:

I forgot to say in my earlier post - thank you to Simmons for giving me a great race set-up for Norisring. You are hereby appointed to the post of chief mechanic.

(Mind you, he managed a 48.5 second lap with that set-up :eek: and I'm nowhere near that pace...I'm trying to persuade him to go racing with you guys sometime). ;)

Got a 4th place finish but dissapointed after first lap shunt when overtaking Hard jack :down:. Put me down to 19th, battled back after some struggle with understeer. Closing back on Hard Jack close racing for number of laps :up:Came up behind Jack Stand in 12 thought i had the run, was carrying more speed, he was struggling out of corner we came together and 3rd was out of reach. :(

Peter gave chase but wasn't able to close the gap :roflmao:

I'll have to look at the replay, but my first lap was limited to being shunted heavily from behind at the first corner sending me skyward and having a stationary and sideways beamer magically appear in front of me out of thin air after turn 2 - which I couldn't avoid collision with. If that was you Geordie, then I'm sorry, but I was way off the racing line to avoid other cars.

I really enjoyed our battle later on in the race, pity lapped GT cars kept interferring.

Also thanks for pointing out about stopping for J Hoekman i shouldn't of done as it could of cause a almighty pileup from Sege to whoever gets caught but it was in my opinion out of respect i waited. All confusing really end of day i was passing whoever i could....safely of course but still i tripped up :rolleyes:

I agree totally with Greg.The braking points dont MOVE from a lap to another.In fact i was in the slowest car(not the lotus or the Z3) and sometimes i had to hold for some gt cars to do the harpin because they were always braking too late.That didnt help my race and slowed me down several times.In practice one we had the black marks on the track that helped us to brake but for the race the marks had gone so all u can do is memorize the b.point and feel the car response.
Now to Lowndes: When u sugest this track i tend to agree because i wanted to u to feel a little better racing again with us.The car that has been given to you was acording to your ranking this season.And i know that u hated the car when u got into practice server.Poor wheel of yours,always taking the blame for everything:p If i was a wheel i wouldnt work for you thats for sure.I just hope that your new wheel will be ok so you can get a new excuse for everything that goes wrong with you.

Calibrating. Turn full left and full right. Doesn't wanna turn full lock on one side always. So the different locks are different. its not like 90 degrees left and 90 right. So I have it always on one side turned a bit. Now to compromise I set deadzone around 4 or 5 or 3. But I can't get that right sometimes and it doesn't help alot to have a deadzone.
Having deadzone makes small straight line adjustments very hard. And this track is straight. And I can't get it to go straight

about the car: I admit I don't like it. But I tried racing it did lots of hotlaps and was gonna race

My best lap in the cursed Z3 is 54.3 from thread sandbagging

I didn't pull out because I didn't like the Z3. I have problems with the wheel, I can't centre it and I can't turn it to full lock. In three days I'll have a DFP and I'll be ready to race again. I didn't wanna race all pissed off and ruin someone elses.

I feel i need to apologise a bit more really. Before i got in about 7.05ish after picking the missus up from work i was really in a pissed off and angry mood probably showed a bit in my driving. The reason is a) i had to wait nearly an hour till my missus came out of the office and b) some stupid twat chav drove dangerously weaving in and out of lanes in a blue probably stolen Vauxhall Vectra within inches of ripping my mirrors off and endangering myself, my missus and my son in car too and no i didn't raise to the bait.(greg you know Thomas Lewis Way). To make matters worse they had a kid in the back of theirs. Next set of light he expects me to blow him away more blow his stupid head off idiots:smash::shocking::slap::chair::nono:

My drama started off in Qual, seeing Sege over a second quicker than me in the same machinery, I decided to try out a more aggressive driving style that I'd seen him do in a replay and also tried his setup. Did me some good, but in the end I went back to the garage and modified my original setup with some ideas from his. Went back out for 5 laps on this mystery setup, all rubbish, but somehow hit the startline for a 6th lap with 0.1 of a second remaining in the Q session! Clearly this great luck influenced the lap because I managed to put in a lap good enough for 13th (and still miles behind Sege).

In the race I got a nice run down into the first corner right up the inside and managed to get the car slowed down enough for a planned sneaky run along the inside kerbing. Unfortunately all the drama was happening behind. Slick1 jinked sideways into Todster, sending him hammering into me, sending me into my "teammate" Sege and I ended up going over the top of his car! :eek: Up to that point the guys up front had done a great job of keeping it clean, so I'm sorry that it was my car that spoiled it all, but I was a passenger too (not a very happy one at the time).

Turn 2 was even worse, I avoided the trouble on the outside coming into the corner only to encounter the stationary broadside of Ace_racer magically popping up ahead of me. No chance to avoid so we had a big shunt, but I continued and as I timidly turned into 3 leaving the limping (and very polite) jhoekman room on the inside, I collided with Geordie who was taking advantage of the carnage and scooting round the outside. My attention was on what was happening inside me at that point but after watching the replay I am pretty embarrased about how I spun you Geordie :o and impressed that in our battles later on you didn't hold a grudge.:)

From then on I just lapped and got upto 7 by about lap 15. THen I had a spin at turn 2 all of my own and lost a place and lots of time. Then a lapped and GT'ed up Dav_ral spun me out at turn 3 from behind, and I lost many places and more time. :mad:

The rest of my race was just a matter of lapping cleanly in my beatup Porsche and trying to stay out of the way of the homicidal GTs coming from behind, all of which were at least one lap down on me. I knew I didn't have to stop for fuel if I managed it right, but was worried that one of these clowns would end my race in a 200km/h firey ball. I guess if you're driving a porshce then you're seen as fairgame regardless of race position, I won't name names, but really guys :rolleyes: I had a good battle with Geordie until he hit trouble (or a backmarker?) and I was sitting in behind Sege for about half the race, about 3-4 seconds back but gaining slightly I felt, and we both looked to be having trouble with traffic coming from infront and behind ;) Eventually I got nailed again by some traffic and that put me 10s behind and out of the chase for what would become second.

I am completely stoked at finishing 3rd in my second race with you guys. Congrats to my two team mates:

Sege my Porsche BiTurbo partner, who finished a giant-killing second outright, in his G2.

was a good race for me really spent a lot of time in pits getting repairs but was deternined to finish this one sorry if i got in peoples way whilst limping to pits .

Computer just locked and next thing much further down track. Didnt apologise because just ended connection before doing anymore damage then came straight in here and apologised.

I have raced in GTL for ages now and never hit anyone deliberately, usually over cautious if anything. I know I am not fast so just race for fun.

So sorry again but it really wasn't intentional. Think I actually need new graphic card.

slick i suggest you watch the replay back, from what i saw your car was going much faster than anyone elses into t1 and you say thats trying to be carefull :confused: . you hit todster who then spun hardjack who then spun sege and then you go on to hit oppis. 1st corner mayhem down to 1 person.

I agree totally with Greg.The braking points dont MOVE from a lap to another.In fact i was in the slowest car(not the lotus or the Z3) and sometimes i had to hold for some gt cars to do the harpin because they were always braking too late.That didnt help my race and slowed me down several times.In practice one we had the black marks on the track that helped us to brake but for the race the marks had gone so all u can do is memorize the b.point and feel the car response.

Qual 16th --Finish 7th

I settled into the Viper CC from the first turn of the wheels in it after car allocation,had my race pace and setup all sorted by friday (highly unusual),anyhoo off to the grid i go and do a good start,by the ammount of places i started taking right away i thought i had done a jump start,but no all good,done a slight jink to the right avoiding a "ghost lag" sege ahead,but he disappears instantly making my jink look like it was for no reason,but the replay shows it all from my cars view,it causes me to tap the back right of hardjacks car,sorry for that m8,gladly didnt cause us any loss of speed or control or damage :up:,i was happy to follow hardjack into turn one hugging the inside kerb as tight as possible,we were looking all good until Todster came in and speared the back of hardjack,causing some funny buggy pinball cars action going on just ahead of me,by the time i arrived,hardjack had been flipped up in the air,now it gets very interesting,i actually sneaked "Underneath" hardjacks now every so briefly airborne car :eek:,the timing was like something out of a scene from the matrix or something?:p,i came out the other side of it all unscathed and got going towards the chicane in 8th place i think?,this is where it all really went wrong for me ending up again the victim of other malarky on lap one of an hour long race.....some very very ambitous passing moves going on around me resulted in me being punted nose first into the wall,from 8th to 22nd in one fail swoop,a bit surprised at no apology being offered up in our fun race,,,,i picked myself up out of the gutter,brushed the dust and dirt off,,and got going again,it was then all just a series of overtaking,more than ive ever had in a NG race i think? :p,loved every lap of it,and the standard of driving from all those i was racing with was excellent too,really enjoyed the final chase down of the near mortally wounded Karlos as well :p (sorry boss,it had to be done :D ),amazing how you kept that thing on the road really,i remember passing you earlier in the race and looking to rear view to see you had more or less no front end on your car :p,depsite all my first lap clatterings i took this viper didnt have a scratch on it,tough as old boots these things eh?,something i will bear in mind for the future ;).

Congrats to Johan,its a shame you didnt have someone to battle with,but you were always looking good for the win all week depsite that,so well done,,,it was almost a pleasure being lapped by you in a proper and safe manner causing us both zero delay! :up:,,Fantastic to see Sege up there in 2nd!!,,,and im really happy to see hardjack on the podium,very deserved,he really got a rough deal at turn one right in front of me,it seemed harsh treatment for someone who was clearly trying to be stable and sensible into turn one.

Quallied 7th and ended in 9th place .
Had a realy good start until T1 when i got hit by Slick (apologies exepted) suddenly i was in 20th .
Drove myself up to 13th when the green mean machine of Karlos hit me (np m8)spinning me in to the wall on lap two then 1 lap with no splitter and of to the pit in lap 4 .
After that my race was pretty good .......Had a good fight with my friend Steve until he blew his engine .
So i am happy with the result ...... one pit stop and still on the same lap as the other that was not driving GT car's (pit stop time 48 sek ).

That was the closest i got, after that backmarkers interfered with our duel. :rolleyes:

Really struggled whit the Nissan all week, and I was never able to make a setup I was happy with. Dunno how I ended up in that car as I'm usually 1 of the slowest on the grid :confused:

Had a great start and gained 16 (sixteen) positions on the first lap.
Only problem now was that everyone behind me was faster, so i was up for a lot of passing on the following laps, of witch most whent quite smooth (allthough some just pushed their way trough :down:)

Things settled down and I was in 21 place following Fernando and DigitAl, but wasnt able to really gain on them, so I was hoping my tyres would last better, as I had almost no tyrewear here.
Then Fernando spun at some point handing me a position, and after that I caught up with DigitAl but wasnt able to make a safe pass, untill he whent a bit wide into the chicane which allowed me to get a better run out and get the inside lane to the last hairpin, and make a pass there.
After that it was quite uneventfull, and I was slowly creeping up the order due to retirements or pitstops. Ended up in 12'th place which I'm quite happy with

Yeah, that race was a war of attrition and fuel use rather than pace. Keeping the car in one piece was by far the most important (and difficult) part.

there were plenty of what i would call racing accidents that were left out because they were in my opinion racing accidents.

This is not me being angry, i can see where i went wrong clearly, and i hope it won't happen again.

After watchin some of that again, i have to say i will definately calm down next race. Most were to do with at the time breaking and still being faster than slower cars, so trying to avoid collisions.. Too embarrasing having 5+ bad clips of me....

sorry to Sidewinder between T2 & T3 but as you said there was just no place for us to go..I knew it was you on my door in T2 and trusted that we could move thru without problems...but when the Porsche came off the wall you had no place to go but into me....then coming out of T3 I'm closely following the car in front of me and can't see Burny(Ithink) turned round facing us near the wall..that car in front of me slips right, I've got a car on my left and then :eek:there sits Burny...I plow head-on into him...very sorry Burny I just couldn't see you until it was too late....I loose my bonnet which oddly :confused:didn't seem to effect the already evil handling Mosler...was having some fun with DigitAl for a while..then Geordie055 spins me at the entry to T3..which was MY fault how???.:confused::roflmao:.. and the rest of my race was spent attempting to give way to gaggles of lapping racers..the Mosler was just a handful at this circuit...from what I could see all were having fun..and afterall wasn't that the point of this whole exercise???

Thanks for the compliment. I would love to make a full vid of highlights like your ones, but as you know, it is hugely time consuming. Hugely. But I have got my system setup to do it now so it is a possiblility. With 3 or 4 of us sharing the load we might get most of the races covered I suppose.
