Skinning help

I'm completely confused at skinning in GTL. I have the template done up, but I was wondering if someone could create the standalone car from my painted template. If you can, please send me an email at ethankuhl.speed@yahoo.com . I'll email you back with the painted template in .dds, .psd, or. jpeg format. Whichever one is needed. I've skinned many cars fr rFactor, but I can't skin GTL cars with the complicated files. Thanks for any takers. Also, If you don't want to, but you have very good advice on putting the skin in the .GTL files, please I'm all ears!

It is pretty simple to get your car in the game for a look.

Just copy the folder of another standalone car the same as the one you are doing. Change the number of the folder, and all the files in it, to the car number you are using. Also in the folder there is a .CAR file, open that with notepad and change the two references to the Car number in there. Then just put your .DDS in there and your done. If when you go to the showroom the car looks black, go back and check that you've changed all the numbers correctly.Then, as The Stigg said, if you get GEditor (which is free) you can extract all the GTL files from the folder you've chosen, re-number them and then re pack them and delete all the .DDS files.
