View Full Version : Q about turning off the lights

How would I go about turning off the lights in tracks? For example, the lighting around the pit area in Spa gives me frame rate issues. Rather than turning down my settings I would prefer to disable most, if not all, of the lights on the track.

Thought I'd ask before I started messing with the lighting section in the track files.

Also, is there an easy way to remove/disable background items to improve frame rate/performance?

Any help would be appreciated.

If the Track Maker has enabled Different Levels of Detail when Tagging the objects, it should be as easy as lowering circuit detail in the menu.

The Lights are tagged as always on ASFAIK, but they could be switched off using the // in the .SCN file where the light objects are Referenced.

Give it a try and let us know if you see any difference!

Thanks!

I've been messing with some of my track files. I turned off all of the lights at Spa and Brno. Solved my frame rate issues.
