IMPORTANT! A new version 3.01 of the track has been released. Please install this version or you will have compatibility issues.

Also note: UK Changed to daylight saving so double-check the times. Possibly an hour earlier for you.

That car was a challenge! I hadn't raced the GT-40 before yesterday and it certainly showed. It was a total nightmare to keep it on the black stuff and pointing to the right direction.


RACE 1

Qualified 3rd behind Hans and Mogget.

Great start. I get past Mogget and put pressure on Hans who outbrakes himself in T1. Get the lead and that to my surprise was pretty much it. Had no spins, no pick nicks... didn't expect that at all. :ohmy:


RACE 2

Did some setup changes in search of a bit more speed. Qualified 3rd again. Now behind Daz and Hans. This time I had much better sector times but just couldn't bring the lap home.

Good start again and again having a braking contest with Hans in T1. This time we both lost and went wide :laugh:. Rejoined somewhere around mid pack with Hans behind. Having him just behind me showed me how slow I really was. I thought I had a bit of breathing space and then usually just a couple of corners later he was right up my bumper. I had some strange fps problems which didn't help but still I clearly wasn't up to speed. Hans soon got by but then spun.

Towards the end I was in 4th hunting down Petemate. Got by him somewhere around lap 7 and set my target on Kimi who was some seconds ahead. Then the stuff I was expecting in Race 1 started. Plenty of walls, grass and sand seemed to lie in my racing line (the team said it was the diff :-P). Pete got back in front of me. But on the final lap I got it back.

Grats to Daz and Kimi for the top places and thanks to Pete for the racing! :thumbup:
