I was just Le Mans testing the LMP1 Judd engined DOM and on the Mulsane Straight.

Sound turned right up to appreciate the Judd howling at 10500 revs.
Keeping off the crown of the road to discourage wandering.
Trees flicking by at 200mph. Searching for the exact new braking point I'd picked out.

And I suddenly had a flash moment as I thought I need a seat belt or full harness. For a nano second I felt naked without one.

Now that's what I call IMMERSION.

Still smiling.:-D

John, it's great when it grabs you like that.

Hurtling down the Mulsane Straight in a FIAT Abarth I like
to add to the realism by turning the speakers up, as you
say, and tuning my kitchen radio to an AM easy listening
station.

I'm pleased to hear somebody else has had that feeling. I thought it was just me. I've also gone for the handbrake a few times after stopping too. Come to think of it, I've almost pushed the horn in my mums car looking for a quick rear view a few times. I'm beginning to wonder if I'd look for the 'esc' key after a rl crash.

This. F1 is all I play on GTR2 these days because it kills everything. For truly epic win, I modded the Ferrari F1 car to be 4 wheel drive and have very little drag, it's disturbingly fast and so difficult to handle.
