Toban race track, is it ok?

i just started a ai race and it would only let me have 24 cars on the track including me. is this just a ai issue or will it continue through into our race?

Toban Short only has 24 grid spots listed in the AIW file.
Toban Long has 103 grid spots listed in the AIW file

Also Toban Short, strangely, has more pit bays than Toban Long..

For some weird reason though in the Toban Long gdb file it has this line "Max Vehicles = 24"
I've never seen a track with such a low number of cars allowed before.

It would be extremely easy to fix it though

Please let us know if we all have to have to make an edit in that .gbd file Ezza, as this is a great track, would be a disaster if it went the same way as Whales.....

guys , was trying a few laps on toban, which is a wonderful track.but is it possible that with the lotus you can't change the gear ratios? is it supposed to be like this ?

Yes its a limitation of the car. I think a few of those G3 cars are like it, like for example the GT3 Cup you cannot change the diff, is that correct? I'm not 100% sure (I don't think I've ever used that car) I think they must simulate the real life limitations of what was allowed to be changed in their respective race series.

The Elise is such great fun around that track, that race is gonna be so intense!:roflmao:

Hmm, perhaps that's because the Elise doesn't have a 6th gear?:p

GT3 cup doesn't have a changeable splitter, and diff indeed.
Viper CC doesn't have changeable gears and splitter.

We have 24 eligible pre-signed drivers for this event.

So the question is, do we want to just race this nice track with the 24 drivers or switch it to an in-game track, (maybe hockenheim, if you want another add on track please test it before you suggest it)

I think we should keep Toban, it's too good a track to lose, plus we have 2 weeks to get it working.

I tested it myself changing the line:
Max Vehicles = 24 to
Max Vehicles = 34

And it worked fine.

The best thing would be to get the original author to release an updated version, which would take them all of 2 secs to do. (I think it was originally just a typo on their part)

Otherwise we could just release an updated GDB file that people have to download to get on the server.

I just tested it again and I realised it only works up to position 26, the last 2 grid spots are out of position, though it still works sort of.

I will PM 4ph3x (the author) and see if he will fix it for us. Fixing 2 grid spots should be easy.

either I'm really slow (which isn't outside the realms of possibility:p) or it's another of those tracks where the AI is superhuman.
The AI viper's can do 1:30, with GT3 and Z3 a second slower, Elise a second slower again.
My Best in the Elise is 1:35.9xx.
That means you should be looking at least at a 1:33.xxx:D

WOW, this track is great! I love all these fast turns altough I think overtaking is going to be as hard as it is for F1´s in Monaco. :p

I dont know which car I should choose. I just did a couple of laps with the Porsche and managed low 1:38. My first time here after all.

I have successfully fixed my own Toban so that all 28 grid spots work perfectly. However I don't think I am allowed to release this fix for other people to use.

We have a track updates section in the downloads. There are fixes for other tracks there, just upload the fixed files and not the whole track.

why cant we do the track, with the final two messed up positions, and have the race as a rolling start? the grid spots wouldnt matter...would they?

Without tuning the car I was able to do low 1:36´s without "really" getting to know the track. It´s going to be fun practising again hehe.

If you're running lighter cars I would advice the short reversed lay-out, it suits online racing better imho, the last corner is a blast with outside overtaking risking it all slideways :P

All the other layouts have 24 grid spots also, I just did the Toban Long so we could race there. Toban Long has 18 pit bays all in the correct location. Toban short has 23 pit bays but the last 5 are in wacky locations. The reverse layouts only have 12 pit bays - too few for online league races as someone is bound to have their race ruined by having someone else in their pit bay. 14 is bare minimum, 18 is better though.

It would be great if you could release a new version addressing these issues, that way any league could run any track layout without problems. And we wouldn't have to worry about online mismatches..

Need some help from you guys. I think my left tires are a bit too warm. Front about 100 and back 110. What should I do in order to adjust the temp down about 10c or so. Then it would be the same with my right side which is nice at the moment (90c front, 100 back).

What kind of times are you getting? I´m doing 1:35´s at the moment. The car feels a bit uneasy though.
