People,
does anybody here faced driver problems in Windows Vista, reffered to this nvlddmkm.sys????

I'm really troubled by this driver, as it makes my computer crashes aleatory, when I'm training.... It happens both to GTR2 and GTR Evo.... This computer crash lead to a BSOD, and happened in a middle of one championship race I was competing.... I'd make the pole-position and was in 2nd when computer crashed....

I searched google to solutions to this problem, and I got suprised with the amount of links related, and more, the amount of "solutions" users around the world give to this.... And worst, these "solutions" don't work fine for most users.... So, I'm in deep trouble, and I'm looking to find somebody who really know how to fix it...

Cheers,

That's a Nvidia Driver for your video card.

Do you update your drivers? I used to get a lot of problems from this driver a long time ago but these have been fixed as far as I know.

When I did have these problems turning off the Aero interface got rid of them.

The only thing that helpt for me was installing XP. I tried every thing I found on the internet for month and nothing was working. Even with Windows 7 it happend.

Go to Nvidia and get the latest driver.
Uninstall your current driver. Don't reboot yet.
Go to windows/system32/drivers and delete nvlddmkm.sys
Reboot and install new driver, you must do this EVERYTIME you update Vista/NV drivers.

NV knows about the issue yet has failed to resolve the buggy drivers for 32/64 Vista.

I had this problem last week and since then I've updated my drivers to the latest WHQL ones from Nvidia's website.

Go here and download Driver Sweeper: (http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/)
And then here for the latest Drivers: (http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us)

Install Driver Sweeper.

Go to Control Panel then Uninstall. Find Nvidia in the Uninstall list and tell it to remove Display driver only.

Next Reboot in to safe mode (tap F8 while your PC is rebooting until you get the Safe Mode menu)

Once in safe mode run Driver Sweeper and remove the leftover Nvidia display drivers.

I usually install the new Display Driver while I'm in safe mode but you can either do it from Safe Mode or just reboot and then install them.

I have the latest version of NVidia Drivers (182.50).... The strange thing is that the system crash is not constant, there are days that I play and nothing happen....

I'll try to disable Aero Interface tonight and see if it works...

The problem is that I've seen reports of similar problems under Windows XP.... And I don't have XP 64 to install on my computer.... I have just the 32 bit version, which I used in my previous computer.... But, if I can't solve this problem, I'll "downgrade" my O.S to XP.... But with this, I'll lose 3GB of RAM.... Which is a same too....

Bud,
of all solutions to this problem I researched on internet, this suggestion of yours will be the first I'll try, because seems to me that this is the most logic....

But even this solution didn't work to some users.... I hope this works to me, but as the problem don't occur everytime (sometimes I play for some days before one system crash), even to test the solutions to the problem will be hard.... But I have no choice but to try, until I find a definately correction...

http://www.nvlddmkm.com/ Try this page out. I did everything on there and it cured the problem. I no longer get the nv error. However, that wasn't a very smart way of going about it. I was pissed off at the time from getting the error and just started at the top and worked my way down. If I were to do it today, I would probably do one thing at a time and test it.

I used to get this at least once a month on my old 8800GTS 320MB.

Especially back in 2007 when Vista was new and flashy, and nvidia had not learned to make a proper driver.

Never had the problem in XP add/remove, reboot, install any WHQL driver and run baseline fps np.

Vista well thats another thing still cant find the fascination even with new cpu.

Everything runs slower for me also tried XP SP3 again just for my curiosity ...what a dog  Lost 300-400 marks with netframe and rest of crap

While I said fps in sims not that important i dont give away default ones, nuh :-)

Also tried 64bit XP and Vista again

I dont know about intel but AMD quads flog in XP-SP2 lol

I got this same error tonight. it's the first time it has happened. I'm using 182.06 driver and have been since it was released. Vista x64. SP1 was suppose to include a fix for it, but it doesn't seem to really fix it. I guess it lessened it some, as said, it is the first time I have seen it.

I did some searching, but didn't find anything that is suppose to really fix it. I'm going to look over the link jcarno posted above.

It happened to me with rFactor, shortly after joining a online session. I rebooted and rejoined and everything was fine again, but now I'm worried it could happen again. Like you Burno, I race online in league championships. My results suck enough when everything is good, I don't need this keeping me from getting any scraps the top dogs may leave behind :banghead:

I'm going to reinstall the driver again. Probably get the newest one too while I'm at it. I will be sure to remove everything from this one first. I never really worried about booting to safe mode and manually removing them, but I that was with XP. Well, that's not entirely true. I used to do it that way a long time ago, but quit doing it and until now, never a problem simply removing the old one from add/remove, reboot and installing the new one.

One thing I did notice. Indexing was doing it's thing pretty heavily before the crash tonight. I first noticed my HDD light was constantly on. I have now turned indexing off. I don't know if indexing has anything to do with it, but normally my HDD light rarely blinks when rFactor is loaded. Tonight before the crash if was lite up like a flashlight.

Butch,
that's a very annoying thing when game crashes in the middle of one championship race, just like happened to me.... I simply didn't believe that.... I'm racing a difficult tournament, with a bunch of great drives (In my team there is 2 awesome drivers, and to this race, we made 1-2-3 on the grid, in Porto 2007, using those "monsters" extreme cars).... And to lose the race as I did, because of my computer (and worse: I spent a lot of money to buy this new computer of my signature) it's very frustrating....

Well, last night, I did that uninstall, booted to safe mode, ran Driver Sweeper to clean up remained nvidia files, then booted normal and re-installed the latest forceware drivers, which I downloaded from XFX site, not from Nvidia (the size of the drivers are different).... After that process, I played on-line, in races with more than 20 cars, for more than 1 hour, and nothing undesired happened....

Unfortunaley, this don't mean that the problem is dead..... As I said, my computer runs fine for a while, and then, it crashes without any reason... I really hope that those things I made last night have had finished this problem, and those crashes don't happen again....

About this indexing thing you mentioned, I disable this in Windows Explorer, right????

Hi

I disabled it in Services.
Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services>Windows Search
Stop the service first in the Service status: and then select Disabled in the Startup type: drop down list.

I really don't know if it will help at all, but seeing it was running when the crash happened to me, I figured it couldn't hurt.
All it will do is make searching (using Start>Search>For Files or Folder) take longer, since there will be no index for them anymore. It will not in anyway slow your system down and some say it is best to turn it off on a gaming system anyway.

I have had very little trouble from Vista, but this one is a real killer for me. I could put up with almost anything else, but not this.

I just downloaded 182.50 from nVidia, but haven't installed it yet. Hopefully it is just remnants of a older driver version causing it and doing a full uninstall of them will cure it.

UPDATE

So far I believe I am okay now.
I experienced another crash, again in rFactor, playing offline. rFactor is the only game that has given me the error, and now this makes twice in the last week it has happened.

So I manually uninstalled driver in safe mode.
Booted up and installed 182.50 from nVidia.

I haven't had a crash since. I have spend a good number of hours playing games.
rFactor hasn't crashed again. But except for the two times rF did it this last week, it has never happened before. It has never happened in any other game either.

Anyway, I am going to run rF even more tonight while waiting for the F1 qualy to come on. So far so good, let's hope it is fixed now.

I did none of the tweaks some have done. I only removed all nvxxxxx from my system while in safe mode.
BE CAREFUL IF YOU DO THIS MANUALLY.
If you have a nVidia chipset, you have drivers you need that are not for the graphics card.

This crap is still happening for me.

I don't have a clue really. I built it Jan 21 and have had no issues at all. Fallout 3 would crash with nVidia 181.20 and .22. I installed 182.06 a couple months ago and everything had been fine until last week. Now tonight on the last lap of a 41 lap race, screen goes black and system hangs a short time later. Same as before nvlddmkm.sys has stopped working!

I am about this weekend away from joining up with AndrewJ and taking Vista on a skeet shooting venture. Here birdy birdy,,,, KA-BLAM!

Hi again
3:00am and I just now got the driver reinstalled.
Here is a shot of where all the nvlddmkm was found, in case someone else needs to manually remove it.
It is a real pain in the butt, because I had to assign myself as Owner for each folder that contained it. There might be a single window that will do this for all files and folders at once, but I was unable to find such a thing. There should be, if there isn't because it takes a lot of time doing it one at a time.
Hopefully now it is really fixed now.

I pretty much cleaned out anything starting with nv. I had missed some of these before, because I was only working within the main System32 folder before.

I did notice some files are not graphics related and I suppose are included in Vista for nForce chipsets. I don't have anything nVidia except my gfx card, so I removed everything. I was at the point I didn't care if the damn thing would even boot again once I tried, but it did and,,,, well, we'll see how it goes.

Burno, I hope you have better luck than I did tracking all this down.

Another thing I like about XP if you install it with same owner and user name you have full admin rights from first boot.

Butch,
yesterday, after almost a week after I uninstalled drivers, booted to safe mode, ran Driver Sweeper to clean up all remained nvidia files and registry values, reinstalled last forceware whql 182.50, and played a lot of races on-line and off-line, I unfortunatelly got the BSOD again.

As I said, I was not sure if these procedures to reinstall the nvidia drives would work propperly, and now I'm sure they didn't.

I really don't think this is a hardware problem. Just to be sure of this, I'll try to run Ati tools, to search for artifacts on my VGA, but if this test runs fine, I'll discard any hardware problem. I believe this night I'll be ready to "downgrade" to Windows XP 32 bit..... Unfortunatelly, I'll lose 3GB of RAM, but this is a good price to pay for stability, and I believe neighter GTR2 nor GTR evolution need more than 3GB of RAM to run propperly.

I really hope this return to XP solve this problem, mainly because the next race will happen this sunday, and I really don't want to be banned from the game and lose another race. If this really solve all problems, I can wait for the release of Windows 7, to buy it and return to use my full RAM power.... But, as you said, I've read about problems under Windows 7 too.

Cheers

I'll give this try today.... As my computer is a new one, I've never installed XP on it.... But my previous PC was a nvidia one, running under XP, and I've never seen this happen with it...

I believe this problem is related to software... Maybe directx, I don't know....

I pray this migration back to XP solve my issues definately...

I just did that yesterday... But I did not test any game, because I first patched the new S.O, and this take a long time....

I'm really hoping this fix my issue, because I've lost 3GB of RAM and more.... As my new computer came without floppy drive, I was unable to enable RAID 0 during XP instalation.... But this is a minor problem, as I have 2 big HD's, and I can deal with this lack of RAID 0 config.... In fact, I didn't feel much difference between non-RAID 0 config and the RAID 0 one....

Tonight, I'll install GTR2 (GTR evo I let it being installed during dawn, as RACE 07 had to be full downloaded from Steam), configure G25 and so, I'll begin tests to see if the problem is killed... I'll keep you informed....

Hi once again guys.

I read some more on this and nVidia wants to point to hardware problems.
Well I did some heavy stress testing over the last couple days.
A dozen loops of Memtest=NO ERRORS
50 loops of Intel Burn Test, using full memory=NO ERRORS temps never over 63*C.
Ran Furmark Stability Test 3 different times=NO ERRORS temps up to 84*C (seems a bit high, maybe ?).

Anyway, not a single issue showed up in any of these test. So I don't think I have any hardware issues.
The real test will come when I have a chance to run rF for a while, which I am going to do this evening.
I have registered over at nVidia's forums. If I do have anymore trouble, I'm going to post over there and see. I took a screenshot of ICB and Furmark results. No way to screen shot Memetest, but if there were any errors, I would report it, as it might have been the problem.

84c for a GPU (especially nvidia, they can't keep those things cool) is completely fine.
nvidia's can take roughly 100*c, (boiling point, heat some tea lol) but trying to keep it under 85 is a good idea.
1-2 passes of memtest is good enough, it's pretty good at finding errors.
(Use memtest86+, its a little better)
I havent gotten this BSOD since the golden days...ie. 140 beta drivers.
8800 GTS 320MB costed me $430 dollars...with a rebate. So sad.

These BSOD's are usually when the driver fails to recover after failing. It could be bad coding, instability, game fault, overheating, lack of GPU power, or Vista for example.

Hi

I don't have a license for 3DMark, so I have to run it at default.
Furmark heats it up more, and can be set for res and AA. When I ran it I did it at 1920x1200, 16x.
Give it a try Andrew, just to see if your card gets any hotter, or not.

Anyway, my temps are lower in 3DMark and I have never seen them over mid 60's or so in games. Only Furmark heats it up so much.
The GTX 285's max temp is 105*C, so I'm okay as far as heat goes.

I ran rFactor a good bit yesterday and last night. So far I haven't had the problem since I reinstalled the driver. I will take as a good sign, but I'm not going to jump for joy until I can run online events without it happening again. I have a 2 race event tonight in the Meganes.

Anyway, if this continues, I think I will try XP Pro 32bit. Maybe a dual boot configuration. I really hate to do this though, because everything is working great, except this darn game killing issue.

Probably Stability Test, I read that where ever it was I heard of Furmark.
I haven't run the benchmark. I just wanted to see if my gfx card failed.

GOOD NEWS
I still haven't had the problem and just had rF running for a couple hours.
I have put some hours on it now along with Oblivion, Flight Simulator X and Fallout 3.
Everything is doing great. Still really too soon to say, but the way it was doing, rF would have done it by now, if it kept to it's past pattern.

I wouldnt let my GTX get to 74C ( your pic) in 3dmark no way I would have manual fans on well before that.

Butch Nackley
29 April 09, 15:30
Hi again

I did some testing to see about the fan thing. I used to use EVGA Precision just to force the fan up. I never oc my gfx cards.
Anyway, since Furmark was getting it hotter than I had ever seen it, I ran it both with and without forcing the fan speed. Both times the max temp hit 85*C.
So forcing the fan doesn't seem to really matter.

Anyway, so far I have still not had the issue reappear. I am beginning to wonder if EVGA Precision was part of the reason it was happening in the first place, because since I have quit using it to force the fan, I haven't had the problem. I'm not going to run it anymore, just in case.

Like I said earlier, it is still too early to tell for sure. I have another race tonight, (fingers crossed).

Everything I have found about temps on this card tells me even 85*C is perfectly fine and quite normal. Absolutely nothing to worry about.

AndrewJ
29 April 09, 20:52
Nothing to worry about sure

You saying with 100% fan or auto it still ran 85C that dont sound right.

It is under 20C here my Cards at 28C 100% fan
Fan auto (35%)_ temp goes straight to 37C edit: 40C now and thats idle.

Full fan speed lets the GPU heat up slower and lose heat more rapid
You payed for the Fan why not use it. ;-)

Its like having thermo fans on your worked motor coming on earlier even though temps are okay.

BeepBeep2
29 April 09, 21:04
Stock cooler is designed to run hot to avoid overclocking.
100% fan on a stock nvidia cooler would probably run at least 80c.

My card idles on startup about 45c, load is up in the mid-high 80's with my overclock.

AndrewJ

Butch Nackley
29 April 09, 21:12
Because, like I said, I am checking to see if this problem appears again without using EVGA Precision forcing my fan to full speed.

So far, without launching it, I have not had the problem. For now I will continue to run it without forcing the fan, just to see if it happens again. If it does, then I will know for certain it has nothing to do with EVGA Precision. If it doesn't happen again, then all is good.
Since I have been assured that 85c is about right for this card running Furmark stability test, I have no fear of overheating. And, it has only been Furmark that brought the temps up that high anyway, games do not, that I have seen and I have checked many times.
I have read of temps as high as mid 90's while running Furmark. That's one of the things it is suppose to do, push the card to it's limit to check for any errors.

My 9800GTX at full fan full load dont even see 60C
Sure I could turn fan to 35% at it would be okay but temp would be 80C

Why stress it for no good reasons :?:

I NEVER said you need to have Fan 100%

While I overclocking hard GPU at 60C or 80C ?

Cracked 17k with 9800 ......just

Funny how people here say .....they compete with a 4850 :?: when you need a Intel 4-5GHz overclock to get 17k from 4850

I assure you if I had a 940 with my 4850 on WinXP I could do 18k.

AndrewJ

18k ...............mmm mabee :)
5GHz Intel dont do 18k anyways

Fan 35% - 40C
Fan 100% - 29C

Why wouldnt I use 100%

Well
Another sucessful 2hours in rFactor:w00t:
I am really starting to get confidence back in this thing.
And no, I was not running EVGA Precison.
Again, I still have no idea if that had anything to do with it, or if was only due to the cleaning out of all 'nv' stuff from my system in safe mode (most likely).
However, since I know I don't need to run EVGA anyway, I ain't going to.

Yer np Beep I agree with what you say, for mine still I dont see the point of getting it hotter then need be. :-)

Sound, mmm I really do not care I have 5 case fans at Hi plus ninja 120 :crying: lol

Bearing wear from higher fanspeed YES thats possible more likely with dusty case at any fanspeed but.....

Extra power ?

Butch
You run stock clocks no need for EVGA Precison
Install / Unistall wont affect anything.
Running at startup is np and not a resource hog.
Its the least instrusive off any other 3rd party overclocker I used.

I've had a 120mm sleeve bearing fan in the back for 2 years, chugging away at 1800 RPM for 7-10 hours per day (about as much as my PC is on a day...)

It seems to be turning about 60 in human years. It's giving up and I'm broke, lol. I'll get a ball bearing fan and stick it in there backwards.

Open up the attachment lol
My case is internally a mess.

I was having problems with my gmotor based games crashing, I upgraded my HD and graphics card and well decided it was time to re-install vista x64.

I install vista x64 with SP1, things went swimmingly. I was able to plat gtr-evo with out any crashes :) I then installed the available security and os updates, now gtr is back to its usual self crashing after a few lap or on the car select screen. This has lead me to believe that one of the updates is the cause of the problem and not the nvidia drivers.

I upgraded my GPU from 7800gtx SLI to 9800GT 1gb.

My Specs:
AMD 4400 x2, 4gb DDR, 3x 200gb HD, 500gb HD, 2x Pioneer DVR-109, 1gb 9800GT
550W Antec TruePower PSU.

Now I haven't determined which update it is causing me these problems for this particular games and I really not sure if I can be bothered going thru the hassle of tracking it down, however the update would have been released between the 169.xx and 180.xx nvidia drivers. The 169.05 were the last drivers that worked for me, however a roll back to these drivers didn't resolve the issues when I had the 7800Gtx cards installed.

If anyone has any suggestions feel free to post, at this stage only gmotor based games are affected. Looks like I'll be installing and playing GP legends for the forseeable future :)

Hi and thanks for input.
Here is the last few updates from MS. However, if it is a update that causes it, it would have to of been the ones before April 16, because the first time this happened to me was April 15th during a online race.

Anyway, if you want to compare updates, here are some of mine.

I tested 9800GTX+ SLi in my tower yesterday with XP-SP2
I uninstalled 182.50 rebooted cancelled found driver removed my card
put in SLi cards installed 182.50 driver again, thats it ran all day all sims, not
a whimper :-)

I never install updates none ever improved performance while most say they cant hurt I dont agree.
I never used CPU or dualcore optimizer with x2 nor for my 940. ( Yes I relise it apparently helps some shooters but I run all sims without either 101% )

Likewise I see people talking about netframe 3.5 update in stutter threads, if you look at W7 ATi info it still uses Netframe2 ergo its pointless updating it
to try to solve 3d/performance problems, lol ... oh thats right the old it wont hurt.

Hi again

Andrew, I'm sure you are only trying to help, but in all honesty, you are not. This is a Vista/Win7 issue. While I have read where it has happened to some under XP, it is very rare for that OS (in fact, I have only heard like two people say they had it happen under XP). So just telling us over and over how you don't have this problem running XP is really not helping anyone here. We already know that, or at least anyone that has spent a bit of time reading about this problem already knows this.

I don't know anything about a problem .net 3.5 might have. I know I don't have any stuttering, so it hasn't done anything there, that I can tell. I installed 3.5 because Spotter Plugin needs it. If you believe it is linked to the nvlddmkm.sys errors, then by all means post a link showing how and why. Just saying Win7 still uses 2.0 in no way leads me to think 3.5 is why I am getting the stop errors. Show me proof and I will then decide what to do.
I posted a full shot of my Windows updates at nVidia. Nothing wrong was the report I received from a user there.

Okay, I am down to my last trials. I have removed 4GB of ram, as per a suggestion.
While I was at that, I also hooked up my monitor to the other DVI link (my card has two). I had been using the one closest to my monitor. If looking at the back of the gfx card, that would be the one on the right. I now have it hooked up to the one on the left. That one is closest to the motherboard when the card is installed. I doubt that will have any affect on it, but I figured it couldn't hurt to try it.

I have a race tonight, so this will be a good chance to see if anything I did has helped.
If it happens again, I am going to put on XP Pro 32bit for dual boot and run rFactor under XP.

If you can, get a camera and take a picture of the BSOD screen for me to see.

The

Is what I'm interested in, it is important.

I like your faith. A true believer in 'this will happen again', lol

I don't have a camera to take a shot, but I will write down the error code for you.
Hopefully I won't see it again, but like you, I'm a believer too. I feel sure I will get that info for you before too long.

Butch Nackley
4 May 09, 01:55
Well, you won't get the info, yet.
I did one last thing, before entering the session tonight. I reinstalled the gfx driver. However, I just ran the installer, no removal first, same version. Somewhere I read it will help to reduce the chances, but the error will most likely reappear after a few days to a couple weeks or so :(

Anyway, tonight it was fine

I'll be doing some offline practice and have another race Wed. So, I should be ruinning the game quite a bit over the next few days.

I remembered something.
As hopeful as I would like to be, I don't know if this could cause it.
When I first built this pc, I hooked up my gfx cable to the DVI link it is now reattached to. The one on the left, closest to the motherboard.
Sometime, but I really don't know how long ago it was, I tidying up all my cables and that's when I switched DVI links. :glare:
Could that have the reason I all of a sudden, after nearly 3 months of excellent stability, get this error? I have no idea, but I am certain I did switch out the links. Probably hasn't a thing to with it, but I remember Performance Information saying it needed to refresh becasue of new hardware.
It says it now, but I don't know if it is because I removed the ram, or if because I changed the link. Everything in device manager shows fine.

Hi butch,

I've installed all updates post SP1 in vista so I have all in your list installed. BSOD's have been extremely rare for me however gtr-evo will not work without CTD. From the clean install without updates and all latest drivers it work flawlessly, once I install the updates it wasn't so rosey.

Now eventually I may go and uninstall the updates and apply them 1 at a time in an effort to identify the update causing these problems. It may very well be a combination of updates only time will tell. I won't be able to investigate further until friday this week, stupid work and wanting me to turn up :)

Come the end of the week I may have an answer.

i got this error and ctd last night for the first time,im on vistax64 with all updates,im pretty sure it was the track that caused it(monaco) i was getting some lag when going down the pit straight, other parts of the track were fine, after about 15 laps i turned onto the pit straight and BANG!! ctd with the nvidia error thats mentioned here,it said my display driver had to recover, this doesnt happen for me usually, ive never had this error before so it could well be the custom track that the driver doesnt like in my case.

Now I will say I run XP and Vista and W7 32/64 and ubuntu to boot and never have a nvlddmkm.sys - BSOD :?:

My point being in last post I just dont get this bug so its no use blaming Vista :?:

edit: Okay I be more constructive I going to run a fresh Vista 32Bit onto a 80GB and set it up the same way I do for other people that have it.

Straight sP1 install no updates, latest whql driver
I delete Netframe anything else from program features
I delete the 2 startups for nvidia leaving only the control panel one
I turn off sytem restore and bit manager whatever :)
I add DX May

Cant think of much else all i know is I build many Vista towers of all those I had a few come
cant say I ever remember this error in Vista on cards ranging from 6150/6600GT to 9800gtx

So I google and many have this problem leads me to think maybe it is something I do not do.

Maybe there are dud cards out there. (It wouldn't suprise me.)

nvidia has posted Q1'09 a loss, I'm suprised. (Not really, the red team is sweeping them up).

Anyway, I also got this bug when I took an overclock just a little too far on my 8800GTS.
Stock was like, what 500/1598? I had it up at 605/1900 for a while, but it was factory overclocked to 540/1680 anyway. No wonder it didn't last very long...screen corruption/failure meant bad memory!

But every ten minutes or so this happened back in early 2008, nvidia does not really know how to make a good driver without spending two years on it.

AndrewJ
10 May 09, 01:20
Yes I heard underclocking card a bit solves for some :?:

Tried 32Bit all night nothing yet to report but off course thats a 9800GTX+

I fair dinkum had stutters in 3Dmark'06 I mean a glaring ones, but never seen that with +4200 to +6400 with the identical card in XP or W7 yet for that matter.
( thats is apart from the well known 3dmark2001carchase stutter with a few varying drivers) but 3dmark only stutters for me you test a low power PC has no right even using 2006.

Very wierd with 940BE 100% okay in XP and W7
Vista lag noticeable in a few things. ( even game/sim loaders )
Even movies starts instant in XP and W7 start black screen in vista and slower.

Same whql driver but I noticed these problems oinks ago with much earlier drivers. Maybe Intel runs Vista better ?

I am actually surprised how well AMD quad runs in XP. :)
