Now that I haver cable hooked up, probably a little bit before I continue unpacking. Mosport is a great high-speed track!

I agree with your picks with one exception. GT1 Gavin and Beretta. Although it would be nice to see Ron win this one at his home track, seeing that he probably will not be racing next year in ALMS.

I think Gavin and Berretta would win on merit, but I think they might let Ron win.

audi has been fast. if dindo wasn't damaged on the first lap at mid ohio they probably would have won.Mcnish was flying that day and just rare mechanical trouble late at mosport

If it wasn't for the gear box issue, the Audi had the Spyder covered. It just seems that it is a Penske year. Next week does not look good for Audi on the streets at Belle Isle, definately a Spyder track.
Now for last weeks race actually all the races so far this year. As a C6-R fan, I wish they would spend a little more time on the GT class. I guess that will not happen as long as the only cars racing in that class are the two C6-R's. They give a little more coverage this week because it was Ron Fellows last race (most likely) in ALMS at Mosport. He will be at Atlanta for the Petit La Mans.
I love Mosport, it is such a fast track and the elevation changes are great.

I could not agree more... I am a big Ron Fellows fan and what he has done for the sport has been nothing short of amazing. Hell, i've seen him in everything from a nascar to Speed World Challenge to ALMS and more. He is/was an amazing driver and will never be forgotten.

Mosports ALMS this year was by far the best turnout I've seen yet, great to see interest growing in this series:) Friday the weather held off and some good rubber was layed down, only to see it washed away by over-night rains. With rain continuing into Saturdays Qualifing, the track was still rather green come Sunday. Luckily the weather turned full circle on Sunday and allowed for an amazing race day:)
Ron Fellows has certainly been a favorite at the track and I agree he'll be missed.

I had the privilege of meeting Ron Fellows at this years St.Pete Gran Prix. Our club hosted the Corvette Coral and hospitailty tent. Ron's Z06 was on display and one of the task we had was to keep his car clean as well as the Indy pace car. Well he was there with th other drivers to sign autographs, but because he was not racing at St Pete, he stay for well over an hour just to talk with everyone. We were able to get a picture with him at his car and all of us with him. Little did we know, but the member of or club that was in charge of working with Chevrolet/Corvette on setting up the event talk to him later and sent him one photo that we all signed, and enough pictures for each one of us for him to sign and return. He will be missed at the races in the years to come.
