At the moment, I can't match the faster Sunday lap times in the TR4A. After ten laps, my best time is 1:49.853.

The TR4 is quite a nice car to drive, but my unfamiliarity with it resulted in a spin in the first race when I tried to brake when the car was sliding very slightly left to right. That got me a date with the crash barrier :-) Nevertheless, a few other guys also seemed to be having a few dodgy episodes, so I ended up finishing 7th.

The second race was quite interesting. I wasn't aware that the open top #44 car is a bit lighter (and so presumably has slightly better acceleration), but even if I had known, I would still have used the black #754 car. IMO, it simply looks a lot better ;-)

I managed to just about stay with the open top cars over the first few laps, and then one by one they started to make mistakes. That eventually resulted in me getting right up to 2nd place. However, Kimi (I think) and Frex made a determined effort to catch me. Kimi almost got there, and then spun off! Frex was more persistent, and he was very close behind me when exiting the penultimate corner of the race. At that point, I decided to stay on the right side of the track, to try and stop Frex from overtaking me. However, even though it isn't technically blocking, I never feel comfortable not taking the racing line simply because someone is close behind me. So I pulled over towards the left....just enough to let Frex slip by on the inside. I was almost touching his rear bumper as we crossed the finishing line :-)

I think that Frex snatching 2nd place at the end was the right result.

Being in front gives you every right to take up whatever line you like. I was just about to switch to the outside and have a go around there, when at the last moment you just opened the door for me, so i went through it..!

Shame i messed up on the first lap in Race 1, but the second race was full of action. Great stuff.
