The most disappointing race I´ve ever had. Managed to secure 16th position in the quali with my last lap.
I went with a 2 stopper and the plan was to go with hard tires for the first 20 laps and then change to mediums for the last stint.
Well, it all came crashing down when in the start I was part of a huge accident.
"They came from....behind"
...Repaired my car in the pits and at that point I was already two laps behind the pack. Then someone spun out from the track and cut right back, wasnt able to avoid a big collision and my car was wrecked again.
A couple of laps later there was a black Lambo just sitting on the track (perhaps a connection problem), and I almost crashed into that as well.
I just gave up after 10 laps, my car was broken and that was that.
Hopefully the next race goes better, cant be worse than this one.

well, a baptism of fire you could call it.
couldn't carry my practice pace to qualifying and made numerous mistakes. come the race, i was hoping to avoid any problems.
luckily for me, about 4 cars went off before T1, and some more went off around the lap, leaving me a respectable 20th or so. but i made a mistake around T11, and dropped me ahead of the cars that messed up at the start. after another mistake, i found myself in a small battle with Geordie before he retired. then i made another mistake, and rejoined ahead of APEXTECH, but that was resolved pretty quickly, as he passed me further round the lap. then, i made 3 mistakes in 1 lap and it dropped me to the last runner on the lead lap. i then made a mistake and a lapped ICKE had nowhere to go but into me and sent me skyward... continued round as my pitstop was in a few laps. then, made another mistake, and was then hit by jhoeckman. sorry for that... it gave me a puncture. further round the lap, my engine blew and that was it.
if i'd continued, i think around 17th or so may have been for me if people had their problems. for the next race, i will make sure my bro is out of the house, as his distractions caused me to spin in front of ICKE.
ALL TO BE CONFIRMED AFTER VIEWING THE REPLAY.

Had been torn between the lambo and the saleen all week, offline the saleen was slightly quicker, online the lambo was around half a sec quicker per lap but used more fuel. I gambled on the saleen and was pleased with a solid 3rd on the grid.
Now the bad bit - having installed the great new car sounds off this site mid week (not done saleen yet...) i got to the grid and couldnt hear my own engine, the lambos and ferraris completely drowned it out. I got a lot of wheelspin in first, upshifted and went sideways on a bump, got understandably tagged by berger (very sorry) and was left on the wall on the other side of the track. Shades of Montoya with his TC off on the parade lap :o Then hardjack and ICKE had a coming together and both smashed me as a result. I lost my bonnet and splitter and obviously limped around to get them replaced. Left the pits 1:30 secs behind after one lap. Sorry to everyone for the amateur mistake, believe me im already mad with myself.
I thought i would have a crack at the race and see what happened. It took my whole first stint to catch the back of the pack, with the except of ace racer who i overtook in T1, whilst i was doing a crazy drift on the inside kerb! Did my stop and filled up again, eventually catching 15th or so. Unlapped myself in the dying stages but miscalculated my fuel and had to allow mcdanger and ezza back past - at least i got the best view of their spectacular last lap battle
Ran out of fuel at the line. Not a race to remember for me, but the one stoppers would have beaten me anyway i think, as my race pace was very similar to the top 2 stoppers. Congrats all who finished and the podium.

:trophy:
Well, I did precisely 29 laps as preparation - all on race strategy. 14 laps before running out of fuel trying to be fast... and 15 laps with plenty of fuel to spare when I was trying to save fuel.
The sad thing is: less than 2 secs difference between average laptimes.
Question: Why am I so slow when trying to be fast?
Anyway, it made a 1 stopper a no-brainer. Even though it's bloomin' dull driving.
I went med/hard but Ezza's use of med/med was probably correct as my rears had plenty of rubber left on lap 15 and 30 while my fronts were just about at the "tyres worn" message stage.
Hope sidewinder didn't get too frustrated as he tried to pass me near the end... ;)

Sludgey

Enjoyed the race as I didn't make any real mistakes and had a decent pace. Getting pushed off the track at the start though ruined any chance I had, when 2 stopping in the Lambo, to finish in the top ten, so dissappointed with that.
Very happy though that I did not blow the Lambo up :) probably dropped the revs too much etc for the race as Oppis, in his Lambo, was way quicker on the straights.
Cannot award myself a :trophy: because of the argy bargy at the start and also because of clipping a back marker who kept racing, and then decided to brake when I was right behind him entering the pits.
Congrats to the podium and to Karlos for all the work he does in putting everything together so we can race.

Good race i really enjoyed.I knew that i have to do 2 stops so i tryed to go as faster as i could.Slownlow and Sidewinder were just behind me and i couldnt get away from them.Had a good battles with them then Slownlow took me and sidewinder almost for a few times but he was very correct with me:up:.So after my 2nd stop i tryed to recover some places.Berger was in front of me and kindly let me pass (thanks Berger),then i saw Slownlow in the pits but he get out infront of me.To my surprise he stop the car a few corners ahead,I guess that he screwed up with the pitboard and put zero lt:p .I think that Berger did something wrong about his strategy i thought that he would be more infront.Sorry to hear that Jay i was looking for you in the classification during the race and i didnt find you. Then the guys at ventrilo told me about your incident.Im sure things will be better next race
So thanks to Nogrip for another great race, the usual budies at ventrilo.Congrats to Ezza,Mc(out of fuel)Danger:D and Sidewinder for his first pole and for a great race.See you next track:)

Well that was fun.
Started in 8th and got away resonably well, was 5th going into T1 and 4th coming out of it as Berger and slownlow banged doors and Berger went for the gravel.
Was hanging onto the front 3, but in no rush to try pass them as I thought I had a much better strategy. By lap 2 Kristofer was getting bigger in my mirrors. His 550 seemed to be better on the brakes, by my Lambo seemed to be able to hold more corner speed and exit better.
Had a great battle with Kris for the next few laps, the different performace of the cars meant he would catch up and I'd have to defend, but then a couple of turns later I could get away again. At 775 we had contact. We where pretty much side by side. I went on the inside, Kris turned in like I was not there (probably could not see me) I spun out and Kris held it to carry on. Rejoined in 8th.
Passed a spun jhoeckman for 7th, and someone retired to give me 6th. I pitted at the end of lap 9, my crew did a great job to turn the car around in 36 seconds and I exited the pits in 19th. Quickly got past Jack Stand, and up to 13th by the next lap as other 2 stopers pitted. Next time past the pits I was 8th, with Sidewinder16 just exiting the lane behind me.
My tires were a little dodgy at this stage, anyone who saw me for the next 5 laps would have seen a lot of sliding about. Sidewinder got me a lap later. Struggled on with the car and was suprised to see I was in 6th but fane was catching up with me. He got me into turn 1 a lap later but I did not mind. The 1 stopers had stopped and i was 3rd :D
Stopped on lap 10, and exited the pits in 14th. Got 13th out of nowhere, but Jayblue was in the mirrors . Up to 11th as we passed the pits again. Then 9th next time past the pits. Kris got past Jayblue the next lap and was once again all over me like a bad suit. I got 8th as I passed the pits again. Kris got by a few laps later. The I tried out brake him (I know 550 > Lambo) so I ended up hitting him. Clearly my fault, sorry Kris. So I slowed down and let him stay ahead of me for 3 or 4 turns before I'd even think of trying again.... oh look i spun
Could see berger was struggling ahead of Kris so decided to push push push. I could see Kris could not get by Berger. I know how fantastically good Berger is at driving in general, but he is very good at defensive driving. This gave me an opportunity to catch them both. On the last lap. Kris got by with about 4 turns to go, on the exit of the last turn I got a run on berger and to my suprise he stopped accerlating in front of me (out of fuel he was) so I crossed the line with 1.0 Litres of fuel left, which was 1 lap short of what I planed to have.
Overal a great race, but my setup was poor. My strategy was excellent but I executed it badly. So I finished 7th which I'm dissappointed in, and don't get a clean race trophy either as I hit Kris. But as usual, great fun
Now to sort out the results and replay and setup the server for next week.

well sorry to Lowndes.. :(
at the time I thought you spun yourself out because there was a visible gap between us, but looking at the replay it looks like your car reacts to a bump, so I should have tried to leave more breathing room to account for the lag (I thought I had braked just enough).
I'm assuming your replay will show me getting into the back of you, so no need to post screenies :o

Qual: 6th Finish: 2nd
Went for a very late decision on the 550 for the race after a week of preparing mainly in the 575....,,i had a better race setup for the 550 and more confidence in its ability to one stop.
Got off to decent clean start, then suddenly from the right a saleen lost it off the start and speared right across my bows at full pelt:eek:,i done my best to avoid, but a small clip was not avoidable in my opinion, this cancelled out my good start and found myself being swamped, after it had all shaked down and settled kristofer put a nice clean move on me and i was steady in 6th and following him and the other car he was chasing nicely, constantly looking for a place to pass, this helped me stay in touch until my slow early pace car got going, suddenly ahead i see they have touched and both spun,i get past clearly and almost unhindered at all,up to 4th and going ok,no real mistakes,do first stop at the end of lap 14 (probably a bad move),and change from hards to meds, also maybe not so clever,as i didnt get any tyre warning with the hards,i ploughed on and found myself in a nice chasedown of Burny, the closing in was steady and gradual, but to my surpise he pitted,so i kept my head down and just kept going,,,watching the placings indicator look better and better every lap :D ,the closing stages and was first with a 10 second gap but then got very panicky about making it to the finish,so i backed off and watched the gap come down and down, then i got a tyre warning as well, when Ezz finally closed in and passed i didnt feel the need to make any kind of defence of it,maybe a bit hopefull he would run out of fuel?(yea right,,the stratmeister ezz,,unlikely),a mixture of not pitting a lap later, and staying with hards for second stint maybe cost me a win?,i will never know ;).
Big congrats to that boy Ezz,making it a stylish finish!
Very happy here with that 2nd place, and also all the kind words in chat after the race, thank you lads
Well done Sideywinder for rounding out the podium
Many thanks Karlos and the NGR foundation for spoiling us all yet again
I will award myself the clean trophy award for this one,the saleen at the start losing control across my bows i take no responsabilty for :) .
Sour Footnote: i will take this opportunity to make a public apology to ICKE,and also Karlos for my so lame and petty little bitchass outburst in qual, lowering the tone of proceedings, and generally going against the grain of what we are all gathered in that server for,,on the other hand most of you know im an old plank anyways,so no real malice involved,,,,silly posturing :o :( .

...Was hoping for a Top15 finish...went with 1 stop...hards/frnt med/rear..started my usual P23..eased into T1 anticipating something...
missed the dance in T1 and moved up to P18 ...was patiently looking for a opening to get around Wrexer and Geordie who were having quite a time in front of me ...moved up to P16 only to have someone spin me from behind .:nono::nono::nono:...back on track in P20 and lonely once again...drove around for an hour!!!
I think I can get another clean trophy but will watch the replay first..
Congrats to the Podium finishers..
And as always a big thank you to Karlos for all his efforts and to Nogrip for giving us shuch a great sandbox in which to play.

Hehe, I didnt expect that you were so eager to pass me during the warm up lap in quali. I wasnt really even aware when you were right beside me in the last corner, I thought you slowed down to create some gap.
So, sorry about that. :)

First and foremost I finally got my first nogrip pole :D
Got a bad start off the line and lost out to Fane in turn 1 and at the start of lap three I lost out to slownlow. After that the three of us kept close company until the first stops. During the race to said stops i nudged slownlow in the rear coming into the final chicane. And a few times I tried to get past Fane but he had one very wide lambo.
I emerged from the pitlane in P9 without a car in sight except for a lambo belonging to Karlos. After chasing him down on my out lap it was time to figure out a way past. It didn't take long as after the exit of turn 1 I caught the slipstream and outbroke him into turn 2. He tried to fight back in turn three but he was a little to far behind by that stage. After that I reeled in Mad Hamish quite quickly and like Karlos I got the slipstream out of a turn to setup an outbraking maneuver into the following turn. After this I had a clear track which I had to use to reel in the one stoppers as much as possible. In this stint I managed to hit the low 53s on one or two laps. The idea being to push the one stoppers to do another lap and run out of fuel. By the time I came in for my second and last stop I had 24 seconds over the one stoppers but as they were approaching the end of their fuel they would have to be conservative while I could push flat out.
I emerged P7 and pushed as hard as I could and at one point this yielded me a lap in the high 52s. After a few laps I caught up to Sludgey and battle commenced for 4th place. I tried to get him on the brakes into turn 10 but I had to back out allowing me to realign myself on the outside of turn 11 unfortunately he was running wide on the exit and we made contact. My next attempt came out of turn 1. Sludgey went defensive and took position in the middle of the track. I decided to have a run down the outside but I turned in too much and tagged his right rear thus sending us both off the road (sorry Sludgey :() I then got him with a block pass into turn 9. Time to pressure the leaders into running another lap. But when I crossed the line the race had finished and it seemed I had failed. To my surprise however when I looked at the time the race winner finished it was under 60 minutes yet another lap was not started. A tad curious that one.
Well done to Ezza, and McDanger for 1st and 2nd.

A tad curious that one.
Not at all, it's easy to see how many laps the dedicated server will run.
1) start the dedicated server .exe and set it to 60mins race time. Set to not broadcast to the lobby
2) Start GTR2, join your own server through multiplayer/Local network
3) vote through the sessions to the race
4) Start the race
5) After driving for a couple of seconds hit ESC
6) Hit continue
7) Look at the top right hand corner... you will see the race length in laps
The server will never run more than the number of laps displayed. However, it may run less if the time runs out before those laps are complete.
The whole process shouldn't take much more than a minute :D

wow! I got flying curtiba cars @ Brno, very cool. :roflmao:
re-downloading.
I was disappointed with my Qualifying, ended up 18th after not being able to get closer than 1.4secs to my previous best lap, I wonder whether TimeTrial gives even more grip than Q2?
Got a clean and cautious start, perhaps a bit too cautious as Apextech, Lowndes, GTR-516, and Geordie all got through by T1!:p Putting me back to 19th, even after all the cars that had gone off.
Geordie had to get out of the gas coming out of T3 meaning I got a great run down the inside on the following straight. We stayed side by side through T4 & T5 where he turned in slightly on me, There was no more room so I don't think there was a problem?
By the end of the lap I'd caught up with GTR-516, and got a nice tow down the pit straight, pulled out to make it look like i was going to make a move down the inside but coasted into the corner, and he let me through! Very kind!
Another two laps and I was in 14th, and had caught up with the Lowndes, Ezza, Steve and oppis battle! - Who I thought would all be one stopping.
They were amazingly close at times, too close for me allowing for lag so I maintained a nice cautious gap behind being patient.
I followed them round for a few laps, watching them swap the odd position, then Lowndes lost it at T8, slide into Ezza, and oppis span avoiding them, whereas lucky me and Steve slowed and cruised through the mayhem!
I'm now up to 11th and hunting down Steve, who I thought was on a one stop (apparently you two stopped in the end? NEVER listen to me mate! i don't know what I'm talking about with strategy!:roflmao:) I seemed to be able to brake later and harder, and believing myself to be on lighter fuel and softer tyres was confident of keeping up! soon Ezza reeled us back in though, and was ready to capitalize on any mistake..........
Steve was rock solid under pressure as usual:cool: and in the end i missed a gear going into T4 and made friends with the gravel trap:cry:
By the time I'd caught back up Ezza had taken Steve......and I had to pit!:p
went in 11th, and came out 18th, and just as then leader slownlow came into T1, no problem though, kept out of his way and time to try and claw back some ground.
There no one around me for miles so it was pretty lonely for couple of laps, passed some people who had pitted, and then got past GTR-516 as he went off in T1, probably on worn tyres. back to P15.
The next few laps were lonely again, until ezza rejoined in front of me after his stop. Sludgey was also just behind me.
I made threatening noises (like this: "Brrmmm Brrrmmmm!:roflmao: behind him as i new he was on cold, hard tyres, and fat with fuel.
Stll, ezza in a slow car is more than a match for sege in a fast one:p, so after he settled in to his stint he pulled away quite easily.
Time for another pitstop (up to 8th as I pulled up due to everyone on different strategies!) and rejoined in 16th (making progress! lol.) again with no one around. kept watching my pit board to see how far in front the next person was, so I could decide whether to push, or cruise. That was confusing as I think a few late stoppers pitted in front of me, however when it all shook out i was about 5.7 secs behind someone (Mad Hamish) in p13, with about 5 laps still to go....time to push!:D
I think he lost a bit of time trying to lap Gupster, which along with a little off, allowed me to close him down, ...and as I caught the pair of them up Gupster must have seen the battle was for position and pulled right out the way to let me through - Thank you for that Gupster, very courteous:up: a couple of corners later up right up behind Mad Hamish and I thought he ran wide into T9, but I've just seen the replay and he got a blue flag, WTF??? and let me through!
If I'd seen at the time mate I would have given you back the place, so we could race proper.
Never mind, If you did let me through because of the blue flag Hamish, then consider yourself an honourery top ten finisher. I'll take your 11th.
Would have been heaps more fun to dice to the finish line!
Anyway that was my first top ten (kind of) finish at Nogrip I think?
Lonely in parts, but good fun overall.
Well done to all finishers, but especially the podiums, how close you all were!!!
Thanks to Karlos and NoGrip as always.

Back to the track where it all started, my first race in the Nogrip League Season 1 almost a year ago :)
The idea was to go with the Saleen. But.. since I already had a setup that was ok with some fine tuning from S1 race, I went with the Ferrari 550.
Start was perfect, two cars in front touched and slowed down which made it possible for me to get by. I was in 6th place into T1  During the first lap, I ended up behind a one stopping McDanger in his 550. He ran wide at the end of the lap, I passed him and was up to 5th behind Karlos.
This started a fight that would last until the end of the race. He had a slight advantaged in mid/exit corner speed, but I could brake much later and deeper in my Ferrari. Almost hit him during braking a few times.
2-3 laps later, he lost his rear end coming out of T5(?) and gave me P4 for a few seconds. 2 turns later I was ahead, and he took the chance on the inside. I turned in and bang.. never knew he was almost side by side, so no chance to avoid the collision :o I managed to keep on, but lost a place to McDanger but Karlos spun off. Not my intention to hit you there, sorry about that and in my view it was a simple race incident
Made my two stops, and when exiting from my last stop I was right behind Jayblue in his Saleen and Karlos :). Took me a few laps, then I was able to pass Jayblue braking into T1. On to hunting Karlos again.. we had an awesome fight and was running side by side many times. As he said, since our cars were so different in performance.. it made it difficult for me to pass in the slow section.
Finally though, I got an advantaged that he could not stop and passed when braking into T2 I think it was  (now in 7th position). Then we went on really close into T4, where he must have missed his braking point alittle, or simply overran it in the Lambo ;) We collided, but not much damaged done.. only lost a few secs to the guy ahead of me which was Berger.
He was about 3 secs ahead with only two laps to go. Nothing else to do but to push my Ferrari to the limit, that 6th place was in reach! I was soon right behind, and braked passed him on the outside coming into T9 on the final lap :D A few more turns and I crossed the line in 6th.
A very enjoyable race and a especially the fight with Karlos. Lets just call the few incidents we had.. "thats racing" ;)

hallo fane,
I think that Berger did something wrong about his strategy i thought that he would be more infront.
this is not correct after i do my headset away my speed was here again.
with 4. place in quali i was the fastest in quali with 1 stop. but somebody kicked me in the sand after start in corner 1 and then i was in place 28.(and i had a damage car)
i was 100% sure that the 1 stop is the best strategy and in this race i am 100% sure that i had do podium or BETTER. But after the last place it was good for me to manage place 8 or 9. I know i pushed the 2 stint to much in the beginning (i was a little frustrated) so that was the reason why Karlos and Nilson can get me in the last lap. (the left front tyre was over 39 out and the fuel was 0,0 at finishline)
give a full race statement after seeing the replay and i will looking forward to Dubai

i download the replay and look,
but i am not angry about the guy who do that. I am not injured(like in real racing) and i can do the next race. That with the accidents is a part of the game that can happen to everybody.
good bye
looked replay: I must say sorry, the accident in the beginning was not the fault of the other.
In replay the thing look different the it was on my view in the race. We touched
each other and then i get out of the sand. I must say if one of us make a mistake
in that accident, then that would be myself. BIG SORRY but in race i looks so

Qualifying went ok and got me to 25th which wasn't bad. At the start i got a fantastic start and got up to 16th. Avoided a collision with a couple of Saleens and settled in between Geordie and Jack in first corner. Now i gave chase in the next couple of corners after Geordie whilst Jack held station waiting to pick up any errors from us. Went for a pass which didn't quite work out as Geordie turned in and we touched but we kept going. Thinking Geordie wasn't happy with that he gave it some beans and drifted round the following corner after me. He caught up with me but neither of us was gonna give and what an intense battle we had...:up::up:fantastic door to door racing throughout 2-3 laps. In the end though he finally got passed and i made the first of many errors and silly offs losing my brake point at turn 2 dropped me to 22nd :(. Got going again and gave chase to GTR-16. I was catching him and was about 2 secs behind but had a fast approaching Icke in 26th coming up fast on me as well????:eek:. He went for a pass and we both lost it in the final turn i damaged my front end and got a puncture in the process. Now my race strategy was ruined as i took on more fuel from what was left result in a heavy car. From then on it was a case of getting out of leaders way and try to salvage something from race 2nd stop went ok but now i had no chance of gaining a good finish i even had a few spins too as my tires were worn. :(Disappionted i threw my race away i could of been alot higher up but oh well roll on Dubai

I thought I was going to rock and roll at this race, but it was more like a slow waltz.
In qual I never managed to set the right lap, and couldn't even match my PB which had been set on full tanks and race tyres and engine :( But never mind, I was in 20th sitting directly behind Sege on the grid and confident my race pace would be supreme :)
At the start suddenly it wasn't Sege in front of me anymore, it was Icke veering off to the left from Q19 and going very slow, I guess you were trying to get out of the way after a bad start. Well all was good, I braked a bit and went round him to the right - pretty happy about avoiding an incident, but just as I was almost past I got a little love tap from Geordie in the RR corner, but it was enough to spin me across the bow of Icke and got me close enough to inspect the damage at the front of Jayblue's sidelined car also and probably to do a little panel beating of my own ;)
No serious damage other than putting me in 27th place, picked up a few places on that lap, including seeing one of the strangest things: Two identical Williams Saleens making the exact same error on the exact same corner about 3 seconds apart  Cecil bounced back across the track and somehow tidied himself up in time to miss my speeding car by a pixel. I noticed you then spun yourself off track after that to avoid other cars
Well it turned out I didn't really have any great race pace either and was lapping mainly in the 58s and 59s, I think it was me rather than damage. I had a good time defending against some out of position faster cars approaching from behind, real patient gentlemanly types like Digital, Berger ("B R 74"?), and Kristofer I think, that waited until there was an actual chance to pass rather than just muscle through.
There were 2 more incidents in my race. Going round the slow corner in a pack of 4 or 5 someone 3 cars ahead spun out, then the 2rd car ahead spun out a second later and I couldn't see this until he was being T-boned by the car directly infront so I ended up braking too late and the inevitable collision ensued. I hope this doesn't ruin my chance of getting a trophy? I think it was Digital so let me know how you feel about that.
The other incident was in the pits. I got tagged in the rear quarter panel pretty hard by an over-eager Ferrari exiting the pits and not checking his mirrors :nono: :) and ended up at a strange angle, tried to fix it and nearly damaged Wrex who was waiting patiently for service in the pitspace behind mine. Eventually got into my pitbox only to be whacked hard from Wrex as he exited his stall. At the time I wondered whether it was a mistake or a little revenge for his door panel but after seeing the replay he would have been more surprised than I was. At the instant he started to accelerate from his pitstall, my car, which had been at an angle to the pitbox and a little forward because of the earlier problems suddenly reset itself halfway through the stop and magicially appeared right in his path! :o Sorry mate, hope those mechanics you hit didn't sue!
The best bit of my race was chasing or trying to outrun Gupster as we were pretty similar in pace and adjacent on track. He held the advantage right up until the end when found that the gravel doesn't give very good traction. Pity about that mate, I think you had me beat at that stage.
So a rather disappointing race from my point of view, but I didn't have any unavoidable collisions and didn't make any errors resulting in spins so I can't be too unhappy. I'm looking forward to seeing the replay of the race up front because it sounds like a cracker! Well done to all those who were happy with their race, including of course the podium finishers, and the top 10.

from memory I think that was when I was brake tested by a light blue Ferrari (I aint naming names) on the apex of the downhill left. I nudged him into a spin which slowed me enough to get caught up in the melee behind.
I bear no grudges and if you don't tell then I won't, have your trophy on me.
Shhhh.;)

I originally wanted to go with a 2 stopping Lambo, but I just didn't have the pace I wanted, since I knew it guzzled fuel compared to the other cars. So I switched to the 575 with a planned 1 stop, and gambled on the race going 30laps (I forgot to check to see if it would end early).
Qualified 15th as expected. Somehow managed to avoid all the carnage on the first lap, then settled into a great battle with Steve, Lowndes, Oppis with Sege lurking just behind.
The battle got broken up when Lowndes was slow on the apex of a corner I had to brake to try and avoid him (which I thought I did) but he ended up spinning out (looks like contact) and I collected him on the way through, Oppis also spun out trying to avoid the mess, so Steve took the lead with Sege on his tail. Eventually I caught them back up, and when I did Sege took to the gravel. It looked like Steve put his pit lane speed limiter on for a second between corners (must have hit the wrong button) and was slow on the exit so I was able to pass easily. He then pitted a lap later.
On my pitstop I passed Sludgey with a faster pitstop. Came out of the pits just in front of Sege, I defended my position so I didn't have to try repassing him later, this also put another car between me and Sludgey.
From here I was on my own and able to push hard. Eventually all the 2 stoppers where coming in and I could see I was gaining on McDanger, who I knew had to drive 16 laps on one tank of fuel. Then with only 2 laps to go I saw McDanger ahead so I pushed even harder and caught him with only half a lap to go in the race. Surprisingly McDanger didn't defend so I was able to pass fairly easily with only a few corners left and ended up winning the race!

Yep, I surely did that Ezz. Was trying to do a pit in request, I forgot which button was which. I think I should remap them, I have done that a couple of times now :(

Yeah sorry, I totally forgot, I thought I'd get you on the exit, but just as straightening out of the corner I accelerated earlier and hit you, I guess you were waiting a bit longer to push the gas to the floor:( my bad
