:woohoo:
Moto GP is back :D . Is anybody else getting excited about tommorow's race?
This year looks like it will be a brilliant season-again :D

Yes.......

Bikes have been part of my life for ..............ermmmmmmmm hate to admit about 28years!

Rossi on pole......can't believe that guy. No one was close to Honda last year, he strolls off to Yamaha and sticks it on pole for the 1st race. He's a marvel.

Bet old Max is chewing razor blades :P

Should be a cracking season - nearly everyone on the grid is either a past World Champ at something or has a strong claim to being there.

Imagine 20 odd guys and even the back-markers think they should win! :trophy:

I am anxious to see how Rossi will do on the Yamaha.

Yeah great isnt it-there isnt such a rider/driver field anywhere else :D

Rossi-is he an alien or something  :OMG: I didnt expect him to be on pole(i thought he would be around third/fourth :P ). Wow i am still amazed by his performance today(where was the next yamaha BTW????).
Poor Max-what must be going through his head

What about the Kawasaki-didnt see that one comming at all. :trophy:
And i am so happy for KR that he at least has a semi competative bike again

Rossi is the man.....I love his style on a bike, so loose. Reminds me a little of Kevin Schwantz (a hero of mine).

The next Yamaha was, I think, about 4 places back.

The race is on TV this afternoon - followed by Superbikes, so I am going to dash home and settle down to a petrol fix.

I would have missed that without the heads up P_G

DAMN -I missed the race
As it so happens i forgot that me and my mates were going to spectate on a hilclimbing race. So i was out for the whole day and missed one of the greatest weekends(motor GP, ETCC and GT's, superbikes, rally)
I hope that there will be some reruns.

And can you belive Rossi-Now he showed everyone that he is lightyears better than the rest. Even Max congratulated him :OMG: :trophy:

Was the race really so great as it says on the Eurosport page?(must find a rerun :smash: )

Rossi was riding out of his skin :OMG: He just does not understand what second place is. To be honest, I really think that Biaggi SHOULD have beaten him - but Rossi has Max beaten in his head.

From the wrong side of the TV it looks like the Yamaha does not have the pace to beat Honda - but #46 threw everything he had into winning that one.

The next nearest Yamaha was somewhere around 10th place and nearly a minute back.

World Supers looks a bit lame now we have lost Bayliss, Hodgson, Edwards and Xaus. The second race was a thriller despite that - Chilli played a cool game and worked his way..............well watch it and see ;)

You'll like this P_G

Quote from Autosport:

"Rossi had never driven any kind of single seater before today's outing behind closed doors at Fiorano, but he has already gone faster than Ferrari tester Luciano Burti's mark for the day"

Talent always shines through............ :trophy:

Of course we don't know how hard Luciano was trying, but apparently only 3 secs of MS's lap record (OK 3 secs in 59 is a lifetime in F1, but first time in a single seater :OMG: )

Well that dosent suprise me at all :trophy: .
As it is well known that he is a rally fan and drives a rally or a special event(ROC or the Bologna motorshow) from time to time(making good competative times ;) ) i think that he will get bored with bikes some day and switch to either rally or something simmilar(might even be F1).
And as far as i know Biaggi was six seconds off the pace when he had his F1 test drive ;)

So now with the first race finnished-who do you reckon will win the second race?
I would say that Biaggi will strike back.
HRC must be also thinking about the latest developements a bit ;)
I bet that they would pay Rossi any money he would think off, just to get him back driving for them :D

Still my all time favourite is Doohan :trophy:  , but Rossi is coming close.
Anyone knows when Eurosport will run the reruns for the MotoGP and Superbike races? I have to see them :smash:

Three races down and Gibernau won two and is on top. Now that Biaggi got HRC support perhaps he will be winning soon too. Seems a bit like the first win for Rossi was compleatly down to his ultra determination to win it and send a message to Honda. I sure hope that Yamaha can improve the bike a bit so that Rossi can get back in the game(not saying that he is out, but it clearly showed that he just couldnt do anything against the Honda grunt on the last race-he showed his hand to Biaggi two laps before the end  -not typical for him.

Also Checa was great this weekend
And what is with Ducati? I thought that they would be on top this year.

Roger

I missed it  I am pleased for Gibernau, he showed he has class last year.

Shame about Ducati - maybe they gave everyone such a big shock last year - the others have raised the bar to further.

My favourite rider is (was) Schwantz BTW :trophy:

WOW :OMG: :OMG: :OMG:

I am still shaking after Mugello.
Was that a race or what.
I bet that Gibernau would have won it if it wasent interupted-he was really testing out Rossi on the home straight and acctually it looked a bit like he was just waiting for about 2 laps to go to mount a huge attack.
And what a crash Nakano had-thank god that he is all right.
Can you imagine how does it fell to blow a tire at 205 mph and being catapulted into air? :OMG:

And the 6 lapper was nerve wrecking to watch. It was do or die and amazingly nobody fell off. I must say that these guys must be aliens or gods to manage that.
Hat's off to Rossi - he deserved to win :trophy:

Hang on! I have just hitched my jaw back up and put my eyes back in :D

Wow....what a race. The final result was justice to the great first half of the race, but I was hoping Baylis would sneak onto the podium instead of Max ;)

I could hardly look at the replay when Nakano crashed, that could have been really serious - imagine if there had been 2-3 bikes slipstreaming at the same time - it would have been horrible. Did you notice the force of hitting the ground ripped his leathers open at the zipper?

Pero_Grozni
6 June 04, 15:38
No didnt see the zipper crack open. :OMG:

Yeah I was screaming when Troy took the lead. And Xaus also went mad.

What did happen is that the top guys got back their confidence around lap 4 and started pulling away again.

BTW: No fingernails left - I chewed them all up in the first half allready :OMG: :P
