:smash::down:Had big problems with my flipping pedals:banghead: which cost me valuable practice time and getting into the groove for the race. Qualy was crap due to pedal problems and played around with settings to get a reasonable compromise so rounded up around the back at 25th. Rolling start caught a few out or people had issues. I had a Jcarno just drive me off at start. Did you have wheel or connection problems as it looked like no attempt to turn.:sherlock: Next few corners made some places up to around 20th had a god 3 car battle with Greg and Kristopher. Both got through although must apologise fo the late braking to pass Greg sorry ,mate bit optimistic. Next lap i caught up Greg again but had a Jcarno behind too i braked a bit early to avoid running into Greg which Jcarno tapped my rear. This spun me and straight into the path of Sege "SMACK!!!!"Car damaged tried to limp to pits but i had passed the entrance plus cos of the argy bargy at the start i pick up a stop/go. Result DQ :( :( :(

Sorry Wrexer!!!, Yes, at the start my desktop appeared and I was out of control. Another sorry for hitting you in the ass.The gods got revenge as I was DQed for some reason that maybe someone can explain. My CrewChief(Kathy) suddenly came on and told me to take my stop and go penalty and I ignored her as I thought she didn't know what she was talking about.

:trophy: (I think,..I was battling with Jack and at one stage it looked like he was tapped from behind, when there was clear air from my view...one of those lag things. He wasn't affected anyway, so I'm keeping the trophy)

I went for a 1 stopper again, even though I had worked out that a 2 stopper with the second stop just a splash and dash would be faster (for my laptimes). It's just more relaxed driving trying to save fuel, and I don't really like the track well enough to practice it for more than 15 minutes and go faster with softer tyres and less fuel :D

Got a very slight tap in T1 from Digital (who was distracted by the spinning Lister in front no doubt) which was enough to spin me a bit and dropped me to 20th....right into an excellent battle with Jack Stand which lasted practically all race.

Overall I was happy to finish on the lead lap...

What a race.

Again my strategy was not the best there was.
A 2 stopper for me with the Corvette.

Start: I hit a yellow Corvette, Geordie or Apextechusa. Sorry for that, but it seemed you where braking afwully soon, I think it was just a minor touch though.
What I didn't like though is the way you reacted to that little pump, it seemed you wanted to drive me off the road, so you simply came and hit me again. That wasn't very fair. I hope the stewards will be able to view that in the replay.

Fuel strategy: Was OK. Had about 10l left ( which is quite a lot but enough for 1 more lap ).

Nice fight with Berger in the beginning of the race. That was fun. You lost that battle Berger but you gained on me in the pits. Well done.

Last lap: I passed Gupster and Ezza at the finish line gaining 2 place at once. I was lucky there.

Good race for me, although again no trophy.

Started at the back and threaded the needle in T1...was on a 1 stopper in the 'vette..had just a great battle with Sludgey...no you didn't hit me so keep your trophy...we were racing very close but I knew I could trust you and I think you trusted me too..I think I may have cut you off just a bit passing you on the last turn onto the pit straight, if I didn't hit it just right I got a lot of understeer..also very nice move on the tight right hander where you let me have the inside and then cut back underneath me to regain your position...I was LMAO.......had Sege breathing down my neck for a while and again very close combat,,,I know you're good driver so I had no fear to race close with you...,..overall a really fun race..for me the best close racing I have had so far....finished in 11th which is my best NGR finish to date:party:::,,,,,sorry to Fane for holding you up a bit,,,,congrats to the podium speedsters...
a big thanks to Karlos and Nogrip for the curry and rice!!!!

I'll add another trophy for a clean drive, if Geordie doesn't mind that little door handle to door handle on L1???:trophy:

I started alright but i was falling through the grid like a stone until i noticed my chair had slipped back meaning i could not hit full throttle. Readjusted that and started coming back at Berger and Slownlow.

like karlos said i lost connection a little into the race hope no one got caught out by this:(. On the upside i got to watch the end of a cracking FIA GT race at Adria.

Totally messed up the rolling start, where I wasnt sure when I could step on the pedal. I realised it a few secs too late when all the cars behind was storming by. Before the first corner I had contact with someone, not sure who it was but sorry if I was at fault (havent checked the replay yet). The result = position 22nd into the fist corner

After that I started to work my way up the field and had some nice fights, which made the race a little enjoyable :)

Was on a 1 stopper and looked good for 7th towards the end, but I had made my first stop a lap too early which forced me to pit for a splash and dash with one lap to go  dropped back to 14th place :(

......Jcarno tapped my rear. This spun me and straight into the path of Sege "SMACK!!!!"Car damaged tried to limp to pits but i had passed the entrance plus cos of the argy bargy at the start i pick up a stop/go. Result DQ :( :( :(

Sorry about that wrex! No trophy for me today:cry: I was going to try and get by both of you on the inside but read the situation wrong, as Jcarno needed that space also!:p So I went the other way and there you were....whoops, hope i didn't make you too dizzy flying through the air like that!

Started off ok, slowed to make it through the trouble at T1, Geordie gave me a little friendly tap at about T5(? I don't know how many of those
squiggly bits at the start of the lap actually count as turns!) and I half spun and came to a stop on the racing line:eek: everyone made it past without too much drama, but as i tried to pull away i think I must have given Kris a bit of a fright! Sorry Kris, with hindsight I sould have reversed off the track to clear the line, at the time I just wanted to get out of there!:p

The first few laps were quietish, until I caught up with Steve who had clearly encountered some kind of drama, He pulled away comfortably untill he must have spun again and I went past him, and didn't see him again!

Started making up more positions than I expected leading up to my stop, and came up closer to Mr Jack Stand who I tried to chase down, He made a couple of minor booboo's that let me catch up, but then taught me a lesson in consistent driving and happily pulled away into the distance!

During that time BuRnY caught me and wanted to lap me, didn't quite close up on the pit straight and then was all over me through those squiggly bits. I let you through as soon as I could mate, probably held you up more than necessary as I was watching you in my mirror more than the road ahead.

That was pretty much it, I found this a very complex track to learn in one week and still haven't got close to nailing a lap yet. Plus as much as I love the Lister I haven't quite sussed out how to drive it properly yet.

Still! we're heading to Whales(? lol) next, haven't checked out the track yet, and it's famous zombie inhabitants, but it sounds like it's going to make a lovely picturesque drive by the sea, sounds great!

....can anyone do me a quick open top Testarossa skin before the next race?! :roflmao:

Quali 2. Race 2.

Was a good quali for me with the 2. place, only 0.2 behind my best offline quali in Lister.
The race was good too. The game let me push (accelation perhaps) a little earlier than jayblue, so i can take him in the start straight. But my lead do not take long. Car after Car get me. 1. Jayblue then fane then...... and i try to let the guys take me without doing a crash but i know this guys are 2 stopper and i was 1 stopper. I try to do my 16 stint in the beginning. That was the reason that i was so slow in the first stint. After perhaps 5 or 6 laps comes Jhoeckman and Ezza:eek: from behind. I try to fight as good as possible against jhoeckman but he get me:up:. Then comes EzzA and i know this guy is a 1 stopper. I try to fight hard against him but it was difficulty because i must always look on the fuel, but with a little luck i can let him behind me. In lap 15 he goes to pit:) and i can do my last lap in peace. In the pitstop i do a good job (i learnd something new this week) and EzzA was behind me after my Pitstop. 15 laps to do, no problem with Lister and then there was only one thing to do. push, push, push
After Jayblue and fane`s 2. pitstop i was perhaps only 10 sec. in front of jayblue. I know that gap i can never hold and so was it. Jayblue comes like a express train (think 2,5 or 3 sec. faster) and he get me very quick. I thought it will be not a good idea to try to fight hard against him, because i loose time and sooner or later he will get me. Then i saw that fane was perhaps 6 or 7 sec. and EzzA was perhaps 10 sec. behind. That will be a 4. place for me i thought. But EzzA was not so quick or had other problem(perhaps saving fuel) and i thought 3. place is ok. But fane was not much faster than i (can not realy believe that) and i stay at my 2. place.
I did a clean race:up: and it was some good fights in this race for me.
Congrats to Jayblue:up: for 1. place and fane:up: for 3. place

See you all in the next race, where ever it will be - good night

Great race, especially by Digital, man, you stormed through on lap 1, taking out Sludgey and then me before we got to the first straight. Must be where I am going wrong. Maybe I should go hell for leather at the start and if I tip someone, well, so what, just carry on regardless.

I remember 2 seasons ago I tried to pass you on the inside, bit late on the brakes and clipped you, my fault, but I stopped and waited till you got going, before I carried on. Are those days a thing of the past?

my race was over before it started. LITERALLY!

my qualifying was pretty crap, but happy that other people had their problems to put me on 22nd.

came 2nd in the warm-up, but not many people took part in that.

then, the race. coming round the final corner at the rolling start, got a bit of lagg , tapped Geordie and put me into the barrier, and that was me out before the line. shame. really liked the track and felt good on it.

my strategy was pretty much a 2-stop one...probably wouldn't have worked.

one thing about the rolling start idea. i think that the dubai track was not really the best idea for a rolling start, as those at the back would be compromised, by virtue of the fact that the start-line is too close to the final corner. sorry karlos, i know you meant well, but in my opinion there was still a bit of trouble even with the rolling start...

Good race:up: The rolling start went well i think,at least for me and i manage to do the T1 in 3rd place behind Berger and Jay.During first lap someone give me a little punt but i manage to control the vette and move on.Got Berger and tryed to chase Jay for a few laps. Was gaining in some points but loosing in another so the gap was +- the same until i had to pit and i forgot where the pit entrance was:eek: Things were going well and then i pit second time without changing tyres and that mobe allowed me to get back on track ahead of Ezza.Almost got Jayblue as he got out of the pits one lap later but my tyres didnt agree with my thoughts:p so Jay got away very fast so the least a could do was trying to get Berger but i must got a little quicker because i started to have fuel problems as well in the last lap.So 3rd place is a great result for me and im very glad.Congrats to Jay and Berger and all who finished. Thanks to Nogrip for another hour of fun and my friends at ventrilo for their support.Speaking of ventrilo are u having problems joining Steve? I hear "Steve has connected" and then "Steve left the server" I hope that it gets better maybe buying a new mic:)

Instead of placing me at the starting grid, the game threw me somewhere into the void. Wasn't able to drive at all... bugger... :(

surely this should have been in a PM to me. Hope you're not trying to start an argument in the forum Steve! Or are you still mad that some of us are racing Friday nights at NAGP? Get a life! And if you want to chat with us on Ventrilo, why not stay when you join rather than peek in to see how many of us are there...you missing us???

If I feel that something happens that is not a racing incident (i.e an avoidable error) then I'll wait for the guy to recover and let them by. Ask McDanger, did exactly that this race. The tap I gave you didn't fit into this category, therefore I didn't wait. Sorry you feel differently, but that's life and I'll just have to get over not having a shiny trophy.

It's a common bug in GTL but happened to me the first time in GTR2. Nothing to do with the track I think. I should have noticed the problem earlier, though, as the timing results from qualy were all messed up for me.

A great race for me that put the woes of Brno behind. Quali i did a neat lap, maybe a little more in it but was comfortable for pole with berger running a different strategy. I was running a lot of wing and consequently got easily beaten by berger at the start - i thought i would try to out break him into T1 as fane was also closing in on me down the start straight. Round the outside i got a better run and had a go into the long T3 but berger closed the door and i ran across the grass. Knowing i needed a clean early break to pull off the 2 stop strategy and bergers emmense straight line speed i pressured again out of the long left out onto the back straight and made a pass. Sorry if i tapped you berger - you lagged across the road in infront of me and i guessed wrong on where you really were.

In the clear now i tried to leave the rest of the pack but was suprised to see fane coming through the field immediately and glueing himself to my bumper. He pressured me without ever really getting close enough for a pass, although i did have to try and shake him from my slipstream a few times! Fane pitted a lap earlier than me and i thought i would leave the pits just behind him but a combination of his harder tyres taking longer to warm up, his heavier fuel load and traffic enabled me to leave the pit ahead. In the pits steve was facing sideways and was stuck against another car blocking pitlane

In my second stint i really pushed, i knew that i had a good chance at pulling it off as my gap to berger was 30secs after my first 11 laps. I lapped steve who had left the pitlane shambles just ahead of me but on the way down the back straight i slowed for the tight hairpin and checked the mirror to see him flying into the corner without any brakes, fortunately missing my car! With the one stoppers struggling for grip i passed gupster, sludgey and another car and went about catching ezza and berger. They stopped and my gap was bigger than i thought to them before i too pitted for the last time.

Leaving the pits i knew fane would be near, but we were side by side into T1, with ezza right behind fane too. I defended hard on cold tyres and brakes before suprisingly pulling away easily - turns out fane hadnt changed tyres at his second stop. I reeled in berger and he didnt defend hard so i put a move on him into the final turn and then just had to guide it home.

Thanks to all for a really fun and exciting race and congrats to the rest of the podium

OK, so I've slept on it and just re-watched the replay.

Incident 1 - DigitAL vs Sludgey (TS 145.895)

Just prior to this, Kristopher and ApexTech connect, spinning Kris. I move right to avoid him and have to release brakes. This screws up my slowing down and I run wide and clip Sludgey. I don't believe there was anything I could have done to avoid this. Therefore I view as a racing incident and according to Sludgey's review, so did he (kudos).

Incident 2 - ApexTechUSA vs Steve vs Ezza (TS 148.205 - 148.845)

Three abreast into T2, ApexTech attempts to get under Steve into T1, Steve closes the door and they touch handles. This pushes Steve left and into Ezza. Ezza is sent off track. Again, in my view a racing incident.

Incident 3 - DigitAL vs Steve (TS 177.506)

Just prior to this. I have a run on Steve who was slowed by the cars in front and am trying to get alongside. TS 174.053, shows Steve cutting across my bows and we touch, almost sending me into ApexTech. Braking for the next corner, Steve seems to brake much earlier than I would and I'm later on the brakes. This may be due to Steve heading off the racing line and me still on it (TS 177.369). Not sure why you would want to get off the racing line for this corner:confused:. We touch and Steve spins. From my replay I can see that I applied my brakes at (TS 175.423) and they were on until (TS 178.525), by which time Steve is off track. Once again, I still view this as a racing incident.

If I was deliberately tring to get Steve off track, I had plenty of opportunities through T3/T4 but as you will see from the replay, my racing is clean.

I have to say that I'm unimpressed with the way that Steve has openly accused me of bad driving in this forum without giving me the opportunity to discuss. I have raced many, many races here with nogrip and with hand on heart can say that I am a very clean racer and will always avoid hitting other racers. Sometimes I make mistakes. The worst being sending Fernando several miles into the outfield at Anderstorp in the Lotus'. But, he understood that we'd had several laps nose to tail and due to the physics in this game, it only takes the slightest of touches to send a car flying. Fernando and I still talk to this day and we're good friends, he didn't get huffy and start accusing me of bad driving.

Also, I think I'm missing from the results list, not sure where I finished but I did help Ezza across the line.

i am wondering why you are not in the result too. I watch the replay and i saw that you helped EzzA to finish the race (he was standing perhaps 10m before the finish without fuel). That was a good thing from you:up:

Qual: 5th Finish:5th

After preparing mainly in the C5R and becoming very happy through the week in it,i do an old classic trick of mine,,,,and suddenly change to another car late on saturday afternoon ,i really must stop doing that, the lister is an ok car,but not quite my cup of tea, anyhoo,im sure your all really interested in that.......

Once again the front pack that i most fortunately found myself amongst this time behaved perfectly all through the first lap  ,i started working my way backwards through the field down to my own mistakes, eventually getting settled behind APEXTECH,and a fast approaching Digital homing in on me,i was able to carry more speed into the slower stuff than APEXT,who was clearly struggling slowing the fast vette down and getting the nose pointed in,i had a couple of heart stopping moments sure i was going to clatter his back end:eek: , but phew,,avoided, but i did sadly end up tapping him round at the slow right hander,a mixture of him having a bit trouble at the apex and almost coming to a halt, and me getting a good wide run in hoping to get alongside on the exit of im lucky,i duly waited to let APEX have his rightfull place back in front me,regardless of the places it cost,,,a process i had to repeat later for him....sigh,,,not happy about this at all :(,,after all the nudging at then letting past again nonsense from me has stopped we get settled down to some good close racing with Digital now benefiting and ending up in front of me and APEX,but as the stint goes further and tyres start to wear Digi loses it in the tight part of the final sector, and me and APEX get past,i am now being chased by Digital again, and he is all re-composed and faster than me,now this is where im glad i checked the replay before posting!,because at the time, when i got this nudge it felt terrible and cynical,,and all those kind of things :( ,but then i look at the replay,,and omg!,its more or less a pure 50-50 ball racing incident,in my honest opinion you should not be expected to give that place back, the fact you slowed up and gave me that place back, should prove,if proof were needed you are indeed here in the spirit of "fun racing",do you race close and fiercely hard?,,err cha' Hell Yeah! :D keep it coming i say,i would actually urge you all to watch this incident and tell me you wouldnt have gone for a try at a pass there?,i also watched Digi's race from the start (something i tend to do when contravery springs up),and i notice some points where he is on the recieving end of some very bullish and rough treatment,so we really must all have a sort of "swings and roundabouts" mentality to a certain degree,i also like to think of myself as one the drivers in this league who take the making no contact side of this more important than the final finishing place, but there are factors involved that makes mistakes more or less inevitable,it makes my heart sink when i tap the back of another car and watch as the back end spins round and they come to halt:down:,the fact is the pace and closeness we all run, mixed with the varying ability and skill levels, its going to happen, sometimes it takes carefull studying of the replay to see that actually no one is out there being a Banzai Deliberate Wrecker.

Right,,,down off soapbox now and back onto the final phase, which mainly consisted of watching a flying Burny closing me down, this is another driver i watched some of his replay from the start, quality driving all the way, lessons to be learned for all there on how to go about this properly ,after Burny cleanly breezed past me on the first open door invitation he got from me,it was a lonely drive home to finish an amazing 5th place,i was expecting outside the top 10 at a few points through the race,,,,now off to prepare for the next race, and hopefully get over this slump in form.

Looks like Jay is back racing.......its easy to tell,,just look at the standings at the finish, look up top at the first place spot, and you will see the name JayBlue........end of.

Herr Berger has a fine finish in 2nd place (i wonder when his first win will be) ?,,,note the use of the word "when",,,not "if".

And brother Fane rounds out the podium with 3rd,,is this the start of a new illness for the guy?,hmmm maybe "Podiumitis" ?.

More thanks to Karlos and NGR for once again getting out the empty bog roll tubes and sticky-back plastic, and constructing a beautifull thing from it :p

Edit Footnote: APEXTECHUSA actually said sorry to me in the after race chat for in his words "holding you up McDanger" !!! i promptly put him in his place and reminded him me being faster at that point in the race, and behind him,is not actually his fault or concern, its all on me to pass him fairly and cleanly,so respect to you dude, and your general attitude is spot on! .

I had a good start. No problems in the first lap. I passed a couple of people and ended the lap in 3rd place. I stayed there until my first pitstop. I dropped back to 11th place. I decided to do something crazy and dropped only 65l onboard to make a short but fast stint. I managed to get back to 3rd place until my second stop. Came back on the track driving in 9th place. I kept on driving and ended the race in 4th place. My best result in the league:D

Again no clean-driving trophy for my. I came in contact with kristopher after i left the track and came back. Sorry m8, my bad. I should have stayed more on the outside off the track.

I have now timed my waiting time and it was not 20-30 sec it was 55 sec wait for my stop:eek::cry:

I decided I liked the Viper for this track, suprisingly I was the only one in the entire race that ran the Viper. Also decided to go with a one stopper, since I felt there was a chance of going 30 laps, in which case it would be easy or 31 laps which was still a possible one stop just a bit slower.

On the start it seems Kristofer Nilsson was having a nap, because I accelerated so fast behind him I had to swerve out of the way to avoid smashing into the back of him, but the replay shows a slight impact. It confused me a bit that I should be so much faster on the start and the replay actually shows me braking a bit, though I don't remember this

Onto the first corner, I thought I braked nice and early but still I understeered out wide, and when I tried to take the corner Apextech and Steve were side by side with me, some doors got banged and I went out wide a bit, but thanks to the tarmac run offs I just drove back onto the track.

After a few laps I got into a fight with Apextech who had a pretty similar pace to me. Eventually I used my Viper power (and brakes) to pass him going into turn 1.

After a few more laps on my own I caught up with Berger. He is very determined to keep me behind him and my only chance of getting past is to get a run on him down one of the long straights and out brake him. However he puts his lister in all the right places making it impossible for me to pass. At one point I give him a nudge when I try to slide down the inside which knocks him out wide, but I slowed down to let him back pass. Eventually I pit on lap 15, surprisingly he keeps going to pit a lap later.
When Berger emerges from the pits he has increased his gap on me, and on fresh tyres and not needing to save so much fuel he starts to drive away from me.

Then Fane exits the pits and we go side by side into T1! He has the inside line though so I have to yield and let him have the corner. The very next lap Jayblue exits the pits to go side by side with Fane into T1! Fane gets into a bit of a slide though so Jayblue takes the position. I hang with Fane for 1 more lap before he starts to pull away.

I keep pushing hoping for the chance to gain 3rd somehow, and also trying to calculate in my head on the fly whether the timer will run out before the 31st lap starts. I figure I'm safe and I only need to run 30 laps, but I am very wrong. With 2 laps to go I only really have enough fuel for 1 and a bit laps. So I start cruising around in a high gear. On the last lap I only have 3.5L so now I'm practically just coasting in 6th the whole way, never putting the throttle flat. I get passed by Burny half way through the lap, and finally the engine cuts out on the exit of the 2nd to last corner. I coast in neutral around the last corner and onto the straight getting passed by McDanger and Slownlow. I almost roll to a halt about 4-5 car lengths from the Finish Line when Gupster unselfishly gives away a 7th place finish to jhoeckman to try and help push me across the line! However he comes in a little too hot and the wedges the wedge shaped Vette underneath my Viper almost making it do a nose stand! After a while Digital comes to my aid and helps push me the remaining few meters across the line - helping me to finish in 10th place, much better than a DNF! :D

Congrats to Jayblue, Berger & Fane - you guys were flying.
Big thanks to Gupster and Digital for their great efforts in helping me get across the line, even though it meant they lost positions themselves. I think you both deserve a :trophy: I couldn't ask to be racing against a greater bunch of guys

Digital, I am sorry for the delay of replying, but I had a long day yesterday at Donington.

I posted my race post straight away and I was pissed that, once again, I have been tipped. Have a look at the start for me last week. Twice out of three races before a third of the lap is finished, I get tipped. I have since looked at the replay from all angles, mine and yours, from various positions. And I still come to the conclusion that it is some over exuberance on your part, from the start to the incident with me.

There were plenty of incidents going on infront that were clearly visible to both of us, which needed caution to get by. My racing line seemed ok to me, especially with the traffic. You tried to go round the outside of me, in the corner before you tipped me, and ran a bit wide. Cold tyres and brakes maybe? Or just pushing a bit too much too soon? There was a nice long straight after that last corner! Have a look from the behind and front car cams on my car from my start to the 'incident'. You were right on my bumper going into that corner with nothing yet warmed up properly. Do you honestly not think, that it could have been avoided by you being a little calmer?

I never said it was a 'deliberate' ramming on your part. Like I said above, I think maybe a little too 'excited'.

As for starting an argument. It seems a little too easy on here to say things about the driving of the slower guys, but when a quick guy gets mentioned, it is an argument. It takes two to do that and your comments, completely unconnected with the race and this league, are really overstepping the mark in that territory, a personal attack. Which I feel obliged to respond too.

You say I am 'mad' about another league. I don't care one jot about another league. I wish any guys who join in a race with you, that they enjoy it. I wished McD all the best for the race last Friday, when he left the NoGrip server. The only thing I have found is that the NoGrip practise server is quieter, which is a bit dissappointing. As for vent. Are you for real?. 'Peeking in to see how many are on'? :roflmao:. I probably know that anyway. Why would that even remotely bother me? I don't have to explain to you, why I logged on or who I wanted to speak too. And, as Fane knows, (I have had problems with vent and, by the way Fane, it is not the mic ;)) I had to reinstall it about 3 weeks ago and had to get the sign in stuff from him. I have had to do that about 3 times. Believe me mate, if I wanted to speak, I would.

If you want to say anything else to me, that is not connected with this league, PM me.
