Did you put in the correct code? There are two, the DVD code and the Online code. The online code is on the back of the manual, and the DVD code is on 'The DVD" ( :p ).

You can re-submit your details here:

I got the same result just then. Maybe the site is down (or doesn't exist anymore).

Have you tried a re-install of the game?

If you have installed any add-on cars or tracks, just make a back up of your Teams and Locations folders, and also make a back up of your Player Name folder in the UserData folder. Then uninstall the game and re install it. It should ask for your codes and player name and password again.

Ok, thats sounds like what it needs. But wouln't that link on the website be linked to the same server that deals with the game usernames and passes.........

Thought it was strange that it took the sierial for online eventually..

Some was user error coz the is a ( ' ) in my code which was hard to see.

Also do i need to enter the - between and is it case sensitive ?>?>

Thnx for ur replies

American versions, as of two years ago anyway, have a Corvette on the cover and is a 3-disc CD set. The European version had\has a Ford GT-40 on the cover, and is a single-disc DVD.

I have both versions. Got the single DVD from the United Kingdom, and the 3-CD version was purchased at Wal-mart.

Both games are identical.

Press "Register" at the bottom left of the screen rather than the arrow at bottom right and all may be well. ;)

I've a vague memory of the same thing happening to me. I may be wrong, of course...

Why was the US version supplied on 3CDs ? Surely most people had DVD drives, even in late 2005 ?

I think the only people who can answer this is Viva Media. I don't know if the US PC games market was slower to switch to DVD format or whether Viva Media were out of step with other US distributors.

Since its predecessor, GTR came on CD in Europe too, its perhaps not too surprising that GTL was on CD. Perhaps more surprising is GTR2 initially came out in the US on CD. The game of the year version is on DVD as is RACE 07 (also distributed by Viva Media), so it looks like the switch has been made now.
