Just wondering as a noobie to GTL, wich tracks are most commonly used by all.

No point in downloading them all right now..

Any advice please

Depends on wha car you like.
But I think most people like Cadwell Park a lot. :p:up:
Not so good if you are fond of the GT-40 though...:rolleyes:

Well I dunno bout that, it's well fun there. Jus change power and coast a little, short gears with a careful foot, full tank and your off! :D

Whilst on the subject of the GT40, I seem to recall them being capable of somewhat more than the 150mph portrayed ingame.

Anyone else have such memories?

Good one, and I'll get you an answer to that.

Yes, but there has already been a discussion about that one. You may have a look for that thread, it was quite interesting. Here's a summary:
- The GT40 is indeed able to do much more mph;
- however in GTL all cars are geared to (sort of) use optimum on all standard tracks;
- since there is no LeMans standard in GTL, gearing for Lemans (& such) is not provided.... so gearing is a bit short for the GT40.

Also, later versions of the GT40 had a lot more horses too :D. But this is the one that got in the FIA, so tough luck:mad:, we're stuck with this one (until P&G get their hands on it...) :cool::up:

Bummer! I guess I'll have to learn how to write those files first.

You should think people figured it out by now...
GTL=copy of the FIA and the particular cars in it (and quite good as such).
Probably, if one of them were a pink GT40 with flowers we'd have had that too.

It is NOT representative of cars & how they were in the 60s or 70s... :p

The very reason I ABSOLUTELY LURVE this community. The mods and addons that fill in the gaps between the FIA and reality. Plus the fact that this site IS a community with all the support and sociability that is implied by the use of the word.

I have been suitably admonished.

May I suggest any track from the current F1 series plus those used by classic events such as Bathurst or Goodwood.
