I managed to do 1.01.268 with my mini and can't beat that result! I tried many setups but still this gives me last place in qualifying!
I placed my hotlap here. Could any of you give me some hints on what you've seen?
BTW I am mediocre in racing games. I am skilled enough to decrease the amount of fuel to make hotlaps and meddle with toe-in and toe-out. I can also make the line race, but I know that it is far from perfect (Thanks to GTR 2).
Please help.

What time do you want to beat?

when the cones come at the end of the straight, brake hard at the second one. if you get it right, the banked corner 2nd from last is flat, especially in amini. first corner brake at about 50-odd metres. should kill your time by a bit. i was doing 1:10, checked that out and i wuz away into 0:58's. Awesome dude!

What is a .vcr file. I couldn't view it. I want to view because I am good at the GTR2 version.

KieranF1 --> this is a replay file for GT Legends, the time would be 58 seconds, this would give me nice start in the race.
On a Pro it is much harder to get from the last place to the first.
Willowjoe --> I figured out that this is the place where I loose the most seconds on this track. This is tricky place.

maybe I've chosen wrong car setup? Other replays show better grip on minis in turns, but 1.01.400 seems like a spell to me righ now. I made one good lap and can't even get close to it. Well, back to practice for me.
BTW what bothers me is that even Sludgey - the guy who has the top time with mini would be in the middle of the race after qualifying session on professional and this means troubles for a guy who has his racing wheel for about half a year (me). Crappy one I must add, but a racing wheel nevertheless. If only G25 would cost 150$...

Dont worry about the qualifying times too much... The AI qualifies really fast. Look around here and you will find 30 threads on that issue.
Turn the AI level down to Amateur and run the race. You will learn a lot in the race. Run a quick race 5 or 6 times and you will have it. Learn to be consistent. You will BECOME fast

That's what I did. Thank you for good advice :). Still a long way in front of me...

Keep at it!
Get on-line for some racing too. Then you will see that you are not alone.
Just remember to be polite and on-line cars are not bumper cars like the AI cars... read some of the on-line etiquette/behavior threads first...

I have to leatn to race correctly first. I managed to do nice hotlaps in GTR and GTR 2, but I fail miserably when it came to races. I am just not patient enough when someone overtakes me, I get aggressive then and finish offtrack usually :D
BTW you have great community here, I think I will stay for good here.
Heh there is a huge gap between semi-pro and pro. On semi-pro I just finished second with 3 seconds gap and I started from the las place. I had 5th best lap time though.
Judging by the better grip and speed computer achieves it seems that I need better setup, and I can't figure out better than the one I made my hotlap. I tried three downloaded ones but only one was for Aderstorp South and they differed too much. You had to win this race in mini on pro and make better hotlaps than I managed to do.
