DiRT 2 Demo

I just DL'd the Dirt 2 demo for x360, it is AWESOME. I cant wait until game comes out it will be on my shopping list. :thumbup:

dl'd demo for PS3 quite impressed the menu interface is very remenisint of toca race driver ie its a mobile home ! rally car section cars seemed a bit floaty not a great sense of grip the baja buggies seemed a bit better but the game isnt a defo doesnt seem much different from last years effort

Downloaded it last night on my 360 and :ohmy: the graphics are pimp! When you go through a watersplash all the mud and water on the screen looks fantastic.:thumbup:

First thing I did was turn off all the HUD, go into cockpit view and go for a drive. I did not really play Dirt 1 that much so I can't make much of a comparision but I think Dirt 2 feels very good. The graphics are defo the most impressive aspect of the game but the handling is more than acceptable, perhaps not fully sim like but I hope there will be more options for realism in the actual game.

It looks like it will be a lot of fun though. Doubt I will get it for XBOX as there are no decent wheels available for it but I think I may invest in a PS3 slim when it comes out so I can play Dirt 2 and GT5 with my G25!!:mrgreen:

I played Dirt with PS3 and g25 and I would say the physics are definately an improvement over dirt...

you need to drive smooth to get a good pace, braking for a corner, then power slide out of it, just like in real rally :)

but you can really feel that it's designed for a gamepad imo, the steering inputs are really sensitive with g25, FFB feels a bit weird at first, they try simulating sand effects through the wheel which somewhat works but it still feels a bit toyish...

I will really need the PC version to tweak the wheel controls...
