Stock Impreza Project - Help Needed!

I'm trying to convert a stock Impreza model from NFSMW to GTR2, hopefully being able to use as much of whatever is already existing for the currently available Impreza model.

I managed to get this model (see .3ds file in attachment) from XenTek (www.nfscars.net), now what next? Is this model even usable (too small/large)?

Am a total newbie to this so any help at all will be appreciated, thanks!

I have 3DSimEd, ZModeler2.09 and Photoshop. Any other software I might need?
