As the deadline for League skins is tomorrow night, I will load them onto the server and we'll give them a run on Saturday at Winton (http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=14838).

1. is there a password?
2. When connecting to the internet is it the GTR2 serial number it is asking for
2. part B :mrgreen: I hope to do a couple of laps on Saturday as my daughter and son-law will be staying over, does you have an objection if "Dylan" has a run?

1. not usually

2. Been along time since I installed but you should have a online code on the back of your booklet. then you need to think of a username and password. write it down some where (inside of the booklet) because it will save that username and password and join it to your online code . So everytime you reinstall you use the same username and password. If you forget your username and password you will be screwed for online racing
you may have to allow it thru your firewall to connect the first time.

3.I'm sure BOB can try some racing in the practice sessions , tell him to watch out for the Bonanza Brothers, They take no prisoners. :-P

Oh k Frank... i noticed 3 of the boys are running around Winton atm... i can't join into that one... would they have everyone's skins so far... sorry for sounding like a total newbie haha

Hopefully I can get on tonight for some laps, I jumped on to check it all worked. Trotty's pink and black Alfa looked pretty awesome running around Winton, you did an excellent job with that skin mate. Sam's looks good too, very neat.

I had a few distractions, had a mate come over . He has GTR2 and a wheel but not PnG mod so he had a few laps and a race too. He seemed to like it so maybe we might get another racer in the future.

car and track combo seemed good .

had a ball last night guys, the newer guys definately made it better, thought i had the car setup done well until krit hit the track, doing 1.40s b4 then . it appears i had the wrong gear ratio. will try setting the car up with lower gear ratio and hopefully be able to get 1.38s. great racing guys.

Good racin tonight guys, had a ball. It was good to get some consistent laps in with the times all very close, I think this series is going to be close.

I almost forgot, I had a weird graphical glitch during one of the races, very strange.

As I said on the server yesterday arvo, I must have been hallucinating when I saw 1:39, (on the default setup with 1 or 2 laps) as the best I could manage last night with tweaking was 1:42.xx :?: (or just lying :twisted:)

That was good fun last night. I finally got up to speed and was able to mix it up a bit more. I'm well pleased with my 1:38.8. That was one of the best laps I've ever (virtually driven) i think. It felt like nearly every corner was perfect (for me).
I'm suprised the cars are so even, I really thought the cortina would have too much for the bambina alfa, but clearly I was wrong there.
It will be interesting to see how this pans out of the season. With the longer races tyre wear and fuel consumption will start to play a part. I've got no idea how the cars compare fuel wise, I imagine the alfa would have an advantage having the more modern, smaller engine (drat!). Hopefully those 970 dunlops won't last a full race stint as they are apperently much grippier than the Mann cortina's yellow spots. Even the Alfa's harder compound 184(?) is grippier than the yellow spots (double drat!).
Hopefully the short sprint format we use for fun runs flatters the alfa.....(cue muttley voice: heheheh!):twisted:
