Is it my rig, or does the AA, and AF not really work like it should Race07. I've tried both ingame AA (all levels), and nhancer AA (multi-sampling, super-sampling and so on). And always have my AF set to 16X. Yet I still see the white track lines as jaggy and broken. Everything else in the game looks great except the road white lines. In GTR2, rFactor, and GTL everything looks perfect and I use nhancer for all three of those with 4X multisampling and 16x AF, plus all the other optimisations. I have nhancer pointed to the Race07.exe in my offline version, and I believe to the correct exe in my online/Steam install. I have noticed that the sysinfo file reads my cpu correctly, but doesnt show its clock values. Dont know if that has anything to do with it or not though.
Sysinfo file:
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.00.0904)
CPU Type: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 4000+ @ 0 MHz 0 MHz
My specs:
AMD clawhammer 4000 (running @2696 oc'ed),
eVGA8800GTX, (620-1995),
97.72 WHQL drivers.
1600X1200/60hz native res.
Yeah, I know I'm still on the older drivers, but they've always been real good to me so far.

I don't have problems with ingame AA(level 3 or 4). AF(12x or 16x) is from drivers. Other that that usual fuzziness in white lines what you couldn't avoid with Nvidia. By the way, do you have Negative lod clamp on?(should be)
I guess that you've noticed how different sims needs AA/AF set differently (from ingame/drivers).
I have E6600 and 8800Gts 320Mb, i use 163.67's now(32bit XP).

Pffft. thats what it was. Negative LOD Clamp to "Clamp" not allow. Thank you very much Raikku.

I still dont think its as effective as in GTR2, i use nhancer as well, i running combined at 16aa & 16af, but on certain track still suffer from shimmering, espically on the barriers, where in GTR2, its all totally crystal clear..

Gopher, you've always seemed pretty knowledgeable on pc settings. Where I am not always certain what some of this stuff actually does. Heres my nhancer settings for Race07. Do you see anything in the tabs that I should change, or dont really need. And I agree about the shimmering. Vara Raceway is pretty bad. I probably need to upgrade my video drivers from the 97.72's to the current best ones, and will get to that later today after my GTR2 league race. Framerates do pretty good. Averaging right at 30-35 at the start, then it goes right up to the 60 mark with my vsync on as usual, and rarely dips into the 50's when passing the grandstands and heavily tree'd areas. All visual settings at max except shadow on high and medium.
Thanks T.T.

Jeez Tommy, im suprised at your settings, theres not much difference in our specs, i have the fx62, and the evga 8800gts 640.. and i run much higher settings than you have set, i also would use the 163.71 drivers, not the latest, as they still have problems, get from guru3d.com..I will post my nhancer settings here and you can import them into nhancer..you using the latest version by the way?..

Yeah, should have mentioned that. Using nhancer 2.1.0 right now. Thanks for the file. Will get the drivers and get them installed right after I kick some butt on the track today. Always make it a habit to not screw with things on raceday hehehe. D'loaded the drivers, and the newest nhancer. Thanks Gopher.

My VP2030 22" Viewsonic is locked in at 60 hz. Which is just fine with me. As I always run vsync, D3Doverrider, and prerender set to 1 anyway.
Got the drivers switched around and the new nhancer running. Imported Gophers nhancer file and looked it over real good. Guess I should upgrade drivers a little more often as it really helped. I was gettting some graphical glitches when saving a setup (flashes on the screen). Like Gopher I still see the armco shimmer a little, but may just have to live with that. Once I get the c.c. paid off from buying my simconmotion equipment I'll have to start looking for a new mobo and cpu. Thanks for the assist guys.

Noticed DXtweaker is working even better than D3Doverrider from Riva Tuner :)
You only have to copy a DLL file, thats all to get it working !!
Hans ;)
How do you solve this problem with an ATI card & catalyst drivers?
