Ohai there, i have played this "Need For Speed Shift" on Xbox 360 and am sort of impressed.
You start off in Tier 1, drive the BMW M3 round Brands Hatch Indy to determine your driving aids (changes can be applied) and then you go onto buy a car, i brought the Corrolla AE86. This car is cheap, and no need to tune it for the whole of Tier 1. I'm so far onto Tier 2 and have found it challenging.
The handling of the game is sensitive and grippy, for example you can hurl a AE86 round a sharp bend and scrub off enough speed to get round.
You might know the points system of the game, you are rewrded for precision driving and aggresive driving. Aggressive gets you more points. Hitting cars, trading paint, spinning cars, etc. Precision gives you points for driving on line, mastering corners, slip-streaming and other things.
All in all i think this game is worth a buy, but is not a serious sim.
