...as the title suggests, name 5 cars you'd love to see in Gran Turismo 5.

With officially over 1000 cars to choose from, and certainly more from DLC down the road, really anything is possible.

here is my 'dream' 5

1) 1987-1990 Ford Sierra RS500 (preferably w/Texaco, Shell, ANZ, Kaliber and B&H liviries)
http://www.cosworthclubrs.com/pinnone%20sierra_cossy_texaco1.jpg
2) 1987 - 1993 BMW M3 e30 (soo many good liviries to choose from)

3) Jaguar XJR9-LM Castrol livery, the car that won the 24hrs of Daytona 1988

4) McLaren MP4/4 1988 F1 car (senna & prost) versions
http://www.buyf1merchandise.co.uk/product_images/mclaren-mp4-4-1988-11-a-prost-1-12.jpg
5) 1986/87 Williams Honda FW11/B Canon/ ICI Sponsorship (mansell & piquet, patrese) versions

Even if these ever become (doubtful) DLC or are in the game, I would gladly pay good money to drive any of these 'beasts' in GT5.

I dont think there is any denying that PD and sony are going to go the DLC route, its the way of the future, if prices are reasonable, and the content is appealing to the masses, will be interesting to see whats in the pipe line in the future.

I dont think 'classic' F1 cars are a stretch, they have made appearances in Gran Turismo releases before, albeit with fictional 'GT' liviries, the 80s F1 Ferrari and Williams come to mind.

@ freejrs, nismogt and bher35 - I think you guys have it made. I'd be very suprised if any of those fail to make PD's list.

Sadly I doubt I'll see any of mine make it :crying:

As an Aussie and a Holden man, mine are pretty cliched. Still I don't know of any game that's ever featured them and I'd blow my top if one came along.

1 - Holden LC Torana GTR XU1 - 1969 - 1972. Australian Racing Legend was born.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t21/matt-chops/20080406_0282_800x533_01.jpg

2 - VL Group A SSV (The Walkinshaw) - 1987
After Brock lost his mind for a while in the late 80's his relationship with Holden sadly soured. Holden bought in Tom Walkinshaw to build Holden's new race car homologation. The result is probably the most controversial vehicle in Australian history. 20 years on its a classic and I'd give my right nut to get my hands on one.

ugly to the point of unimaginable beauty :-P.

3 - Ford Falcon GTHO Phase 3 - 1970 - 71
Yes its a Ford and as such has no place on a Holden mans list... but.... Not much more to be said really, fastest 4-door quarter mile you could buy back in 1970. And at $4000AUD you couldn't get it anymore economically. Yours today for a measly $800,000 :crying:

4 - Holden HQ Monaro GTS 350 (GTS 308 pictured) - 1972-74
This one is a little different. Doesn't really have the classic racing pedigree as the Torana's had replaced the Monaro's on racing duty by the time the HQ rolled off the production line. However the HQ's now have their very own racing series. This one pictured is particularly close to my heart, its my old mans pride and joy.

5 - HK Monaro GTS 327 (The Bathurst) - 1967
One of Australia's first very own muscle cars. Finally in 1967 a local car came along that could put the mustangs in their place on Australian circuits.

Aside from what's already reputed to be in, I'd say everything that is included in GTR2/GTL and just about everything that the Modders have added.

Racing cars, racing cars, racing cars. I'd liked many of the road cars from GT/GT2/GT3/GT4 but after a fashion I simply wanted to make race cars out of them all. I never really liked most or all of the mini's, wagons and other pedestrian mobiles. I liked in GT2 that you could create nearly the entire BTCC grid from 98/99 with the race modification. You could also create some one of special racing cars like the 99 French Tarmac Rally dominating Citroen Saxo Kit Car. And that's where I think Polyphony should have focused the game. The exotics should be there, but the meat of the game has always been in taking the more competitive street machines and turning them into grass roots or semi-pro racing cars. They brought quite a few(maybe a hundred or so) into GT4, along with a nice smattering of Prototypes, and they should keep this going. Less mini's, less wagons, less copies of the same car with no functional, or race significant differences, and more grass roots racers, and modable roadcar-into-racecar types. More BTCC, WTCC, DTM's(new and especially old), SCCA and IMSA racers, Australian Touring cars, V8's and the like.

KTM Xbow would be nice.

4 other cars are latest WRC cars (already confirmed to be in the game)..

I used to love the Racing Modification option in the old GTs too. You could buy them for almost any car and turn it into a beast!!

I hope they bring it back as GT4 only had an option to "increase chasis rigidity" or something like that which didn't add racing liveries and actually made some cars undrivable.

Can't remember if GT3 had anything like that but I don't think so.

X-Bow
Ariel Atom w/ turbo Ecotec

Please make a class for the superlights- (X-Bow, Atom, etc.) - always drove me nuts that I couldn't race the Caterham in GT4. I know it's almost heretical to say this here, but I had a LOT of fun with GT4. The FFB is great, and while it doesn't punish BAD driving as much as the hardcore sims, good driving pays off.

Not being able to race the Caterham really sucked.

I for one love all of the GT series. I doubt I would be playing racing sims today if I had not bought a Logitech DFP for GT4. That really blew me away,,,,,,I spent many long hours driving Nords in a 300bhp S2000 vs 700bhp supercars. It's the only way to get a challenge from the crap AI!

I want....

The S2000 GT1 from GT2. The Amuse one in GT4 was cool, but the GT1 was cooler!
Both ACR Vipers.
1999 Oreca Viper GTSR. The livery, the car, just perfect.
2002 Panoz LMP Roadster Evo.
