remove lens flare effect?

do somebody know how to kill the lens flare effect? it annoys me like hell.

would be cool to remove the effect just for racing and keep it for replays.

I'm, interested as well. In replays it makes sense to show it, but behind the wheel you're supposed to see things how a driver sees them, not how a camera in the car sees it. Could improve FPS a bit as well if we're lucky :)

I think I just removed it by editing the ..\effects\lensflare\lensflare.xml .

Changed

<prop name="GlobalScale" data="8" />

to

<prop name="GlobalScale" data="0.001" />

and did a few test laps - seems to be gone now.
