View Full Version : need links :)
ever since i get my GPL to work (thx to John  with idea of copying all files from new demo to patched whole GPL)i was thinking to get myself familiar with all those updates and now it seems like a good moment to take a breake from driving.... :o
1.Watkins Glen from demo is looking so much better then originall so it is possible to update all other track that they look like that-yes i know for track database and "get update" ;) but i allways get myself lost on the net and Monaco rocks-it's a universe.WHERE TO START-WHAT TO D/L?
2.installing each GPLEA car seems complicated for now but i'm wondering did i loose anything becouse copying cars from demo to originall?-is it a same thing?

Monaco - No need to read the entire Monaco Rocks forum, get the update here (http://monaco.racesimcentral.com/).
Kyalami, Silverstone and Rouen- Klas' updates from GPL Today (http://hem.bredband.net/klafje/gpl_today.htm).
Nürburgring - Dunky's hi-res update here (http://forum.m4driving.sm/index.php?showtopic=42495).
Zandvoort - GPLEA update here (http://gplea.racesimcentral.com) in the Tracks section.
Monza - the "small update" from the thread at RSC is available as a big zip file from Rick's garage (http://www.rickking.com/monza/default.htm)
Spa - Scottie's update here (http://gplmz.speedgeezers.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=195).
Mosport and Mexico - Jackseller's updates here (http://www.f1legends.ch/update/circuits/index.php).
The GLPEA cars in the 2004 demo are up to date, you should not have lost anything copying them them to the original. When you download the cars from the GPLEA site, they have some options in the subfolders. You can copy the files from the subfolder to the relevant carfolder to install the options. :)
Thx,John
you did help me a lot with that-now i need D/L all that stuff :D
btw-all your times are just  but when you are going to upload some decent time for a ring :P ?

Probably never. I don't like that track and only drove it to complete my GPL rank. :)
well, you could allways drive on it to catch me quickly ;)
Finally downloaded all that stuff :OMG: and did some comparison
Only that Spa update doesn't work  and that monza update is too complicated -I dont't know what to do with those files in .zip
But that is not a reason of this post ;)
I found out that I don't like that Jackseller's updates for Mosport & Mexico so I wonder is there any unwritten agreement on wich updates to use for whitch tracks or is it compleatly to my choice?
i suppose all that updates are the same in track shape :P but they are different in historical acuracy so i will force myself to use them even if i don't like Jackseller's updates just like that Kya update-for istance i like that originall red curbs  but in a update that is gone but i don't have anything agains it if this new version is historical acurate .....
