Hey guys
I've converted the Abarth 1000TCR to Evo for you guys as Pizzaman says you don't have anyone to do your Evo conversions...
...and I'm wondering if you guys have any appointed beta testers?
I've got the car into Evo as part of ******s GTL conversion and working quite nicely now with all the skins.
Here's a link to the car as it is now - http://www.MegaShare.com/1577167
You need ******s GTL>Evo mod, latest version for the car to work properly.
If anyone wants to test the car and let me know if they spot any problems that'd be great.
The folder in the 7z file linked to above needs to be put into the TC-65 folder of the GTL>Evo mod.
No readme is included as I haven't had time to do one yet, but I must give credit to ****** for the cockpit dials, LCD Timer and windscreen wiper as they are from the Abarth in the GTL>Evo mod.
Couple of things to note - no wet tires, I don't know how to create them, but one way could be by changing the Pirrelli tires to the Dunlop Tires ****** has the Abarth using.
The other thing is that I've taken a bit of creative licence on the tacho displays that were in the GTL mod as one or two were rotated and the needles didn't quite work right, they still don't seem to work right either as the car revs past what the needle shows but I don't know at this time how to fix that, short of creating new cockpit dials which I don't know how to do.

The Pirellis are fine, Dunlop is what the default GTL Abarth is on (not Mojo's invention). I changed it to these which still offer grip when going very sideways. The default tyres have sort of a 'gap', at 20 degrees they do not grip AT ALL.
As they are already threaded tyres they do not need raintyres (because they ARE already raintyres).
On the needles, some of the gauges are rotated, you'd probably need to change some parameters to make them 'start early' as well.
Some will run off the scale, those are the 'home-built' TCRs, in which Luigi spent all the money on women rather than buy a new RPM gauge.
That means he only bought the engine from Carlo Abarth, and then built it into the Fiat600 he inherited from his grandma...
Note that some Italian Luigis and Giacomos spent even less money and kept the old rear lid as well.
Probably a good job, I can't test it as I do not have Evo. Anyone?

Pizzaman shall I just upload this to the download section and let people have a go of it?
No-one from the NGMT seems to be interested in testing it. Shame on you people. :P
Could be due to the fact that the thread is mis-named as I was originally asking if you guys have any beta testers for Evo mods. And when I edited the post I couldn't change the title. :(

Ah yes, u you can't change titles...
Ddi you manage to get the 'other' dashes into the cars?
Some have the special TCR gauges.
BTW I know Pitradio has GTRevo, might ask him.
He's an original GTL nutter... he'll have Mojo

Er gauges, yes I believe I did. But I had to rotate those so they matched the others in terms of where the needle starts, otherwise I'd have to create new dials, and I can't do that, yet.
Iirc there weren't that many, just 2 or 3.

Ah, well then they will be 'off', as the scale is different.
In GTL making new gauges is easy:
throw texture in folder, reset the needle start/stop degrees in car file.

Oh well they'll just have to use the UI rev counter then. :P
In Evo you need to make GMTs which are basically a copy of the dials (preferably round circles), then remap then to a dial.bkg texture and you have to note the co-ordinates you use and then you need to do the bits in the .car file. That's as much as I can recall from Mojo's tutorial on it. Sounds easy in theory, but in practice I don't think it is all that easy, especially when like myself you haven't had a go at it yet...

What would you like the new title to be?

Er well I was thinking that the title should be what I have put in the first posts title.
It's no big deal though.

Oh yeah that. I took it a bit close over the kerbs through the chicane.
Wasn't like I took a detour across half the track.
Besides I wasn't exactly trying for a clean lap. :P
