Personally, I'd rather see fixes and features that improve the game rather than visual tweaks.

What is it to improve? i don't see or experience major bugs in this game :/... the next patch will fix most of them... can't wait to patch the game up.

I said fixes and features... assuming it works as intended, the patch is taking care of the main bugs. What it is not doing is adding any game-enhancing features except extra multiplayer places.

For example, how about pit stops and qualifying? Custom race series? More than 20 laps in Quick Race? An improved AI scaling system which prevents unfair match-ups? A dedicated server option? AI that can actually handle upgraded vehicles properly?

Those are just a few tweaks/changes/additions which would add a lot more enjoyment to the game than purely visual air brakes and spoilers.
