Bodie

Ok, weird and frustrating problem. I just want to make a couple of small changes to some bodywork, so I imported the body and both bumper .gmt files into Zmodeler2. I only moved a few vertices on the rear bumper. The front bumper needed a bit more work, so I chopped it in half, reshaped it, copied, mirrored & attached it, all as per normal. For the body, I detached a panel, reshaped it and reattached it. I duplicated body_a as body_b, and moved a few body_c vertices to make it roughly the right shape. I then repacked the .gtr file. So far, so good.
But of course it didn't work.
Through a long and tedious process of ctd-based elimination, I've come to the conclusion that while nothing at all shows up in the showroom or selection screen, the revised bumpers do appear on the car in-game, but the reshaped body makes the program vomit in my lap (as does my attempt at making the wheels narrower).
I've tried exporting the files two ways: first straight from Zmod, and then by importing the Zmod output into 3dsimed and re-exporting it as a GTR-specific file. No joy.
There are many trivial things I don't understand about modding GTR (like why the game crashes if I try to point the .cas at a different set of wheels) but clearly I'm doing something fundamentally wrong in this instance. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
