I noticed last night that the Steam World Rankings were working.

Unfortunately, it looks like they've got a bug. I hope it's a bug. EVERY fast lap you turn at any track is placed into the list. So if one of the aliens runs 25 laps trying for the top time, and all 25 are faster than anyone else, what we see when we look at the list is this guy's 25 lap times.

Hope they fix that.

It's also somewhat limited for world rankings. Many people do not do testing and hotlapping online. Can you imagine the connection costs for people on dial-up to practice and do setup work online? oh well.......

If you are on dial-suck you should not be racing online anyway. Broadband is just a cost of playing.

They confirmed it's a bug. Also, in game when using the world ranking mode you don't see all those duplicates (after a fast lap it shows you how your time compares to the leader board)

Yeah, but some people can't get it where they live. And I ran online for better than 4 years with dialup. I just had to not log into races where my ping sucked.
