I'm hoping 888's driver is Gio and BTCC Official twitter is teasing its a top line driver, BTCC wouldnt be the same without the Gio and Plato rivalry

doing the on track photoshoot, i hear they were bashing each other. on a pic of them on track together at media day (also in this weeks autosport) they are deffinetly touching.

Let's hope 888 has developed the car over the winter because otherwise Gio will only be up there on a few tracks. Even Gio needs a better car to win races.

** FYI - I managed to catch replays on JustinTV - under Sports / Auto Racing / Lotus7motorsport (channel). I can't provide info on live streams I'm afraid.

NOTE - Lotus7 is talking about setting up his own domian, a forum-based web presence with video, registration will be required and it is likely there will be full IP blocking for spammers and trolls etc. Sounds like a promising enterprise.

How ronic and sad if the guy who won 2 races and leading the championshp to be without a drive

Also Turkington could still defend his title if sponsorship is found before the next round cos the gap is recovarable

Thruxton to Rockingham is 21 days, that's 3 weeks they have to secure the deal.

But lets certainly hope they can do it, lets hope we see Turkington at some point aswell. WSR team boss didn't seem that sure before the Thuxton race in his interview with ITV4.

Wasn't there some gubbermint minister waffling on about the impact the recession is having on British motorsport the other week? Perhaps they were preparing us for this sort of news :-(
Maybe we should demand a modest portion of that "Bankers" tax to get Gio and Turkington back in the mix ?!

I bet Plato would even offer to tow Gio and car to the events if he could ! :-)

Ive just watched the tv coverage of race 2 and i think its brilliant to see Jason Plato getting on now with Matt Neal out of the car and it seems its not just a one off as they were laughin and jokin about at Brands for the media day aswell
