speckly chrome wheels ?

Hey guys,

I've noticed that chrome wheels look really speckly (white specks) in the menu. I'm wondering if anyone has noticed this and possibly remedied it via vid card settings, etc.... ?

Yep, same here. Haven't looked for a solution, but I think it's not a bug. I think it's basically pin-point lights on the ceiling of that virtual showroom in the menu that you're seeing. Maybe max AA can soften it a bit. Are you using an ATI video card by any chance? :)

Hi redi. I'm using an nvidia 8800 GTS.

Thanks for the information. I was wondering why it wasn't speckly on the tracks but only in the showroom. Your theory is probably right regarding the pinpoint light reflections. :thumbup:

Speckly wheel rims here as well (using 8800GTS). Looks really ugly...

I'd love to fix that. I'll see if there is anything that can be done... At the moment I'm working on a close cams mod for Dirt2... Be a little wait.

I've noticed it as well...
Running GTX295s in SLI and they still look bad.
My fix...don't use 'em.
