I've added a very special layout to my list of Bob's Track Builder WIPs: The 5.6 km North Loop of Central Park in the heart of Manhattan. If anyone who frequents the park would like to help me with digital photos or a video, that would be great! I was excited to discover that the cycling/running road through the north end of the park contains a deep ravine followed by a significant climb (from 23 meters down to 5 meters and back up to 33 in just over a kilometer). The road surface is 10 meters wide in most places and, while most of the circuit will be fast, sweeping curves, the start/finish straight (East Drive) is more than 600 meters long and preceeded and followed by fast curves, so ChampCars should be able to get over 300 kph! My fictional circuit will run counterclockwise just like the normal flow of bicycle and runner traffic, so if anybody is willing to get some pictures for me there should be no problem taking them from the simracing driver's perspective!
