Cool. I'm down to 1.46.973. 2 seconds down from Sunday. Can't do it consistently though.

I'm getting a loop when Laverda is loading :?:

Same here.

Are there some add-ons we need?

Edit:
The car list is showing Lotus Elite (LeMans 62) for Laverda.

Laverda's car is identified as an Abarth. Isn't it supposed to be Elan's only ?

Bugger, I made such a great start - then such a great cockup on the 1st lap:banghead: Just couldn't stay on the track tonight, ah well, new season on Sunday anyway.

Good races for me as i didn't contact anyone  and didn't some real faults, but i never was able to catch the guys in 1'42, i was in the late 43.

Race 1 : Started 6th, 2 interesting first laps but then, i was alone after a little fault, and finnished 2nd because rather regular.

Race 2 : Started last, the few first laps were very nice, ... until i was another time alone for the rest of the race.

First race was one to forget :-( It was all going well, a few seconds behind Daz when I just clipped the sand, departed from the track and went through one of those magical one-way fences  By the time I had managed to find my way round and re-join I was back with everyone else that had suffered misfortune in one way or another. Made mistake after mistake from then on.

I must also apologise to psyFungi for the shocking punt in the first race, I was carrying a bit more speed than was expecting up the hill and was just committing to the left when I noticed 'Pass right' on the chat and...um...yeah :blushing: Sorry about that!

Second race was better, made a few small mistakes in the first few laps and couldn't quite keep hold of Daz & Cale. Got into a rhythm after a while, put in some consistent times and maintained the gap to Daz after Cale had gone off. Would have happily settled for second place, but then saw the cloud of dust at the bottom of the hill on the last lap! Unlucky Daz, similar thing happend to me on Sunday, thought I was home and dry on the penultimate lap but lost concentration for just a second

That was hard!

I had done Bridgehampton before in the Corvette Thunder series and knew the track. Did some practice laps on Tuesday night with the Elan and it was tough as usual in the Elan.

Last night I tried to join the server and realized I had a wrong version of the track. "My version" was a lot more forgiving, a bit more slippery though...

Well as a result I was probably more off the circuit than on it. And those "oneway surprisingly narrow forest walls" caught me plenty of times.

Race 1
Great start but after that a million offs.

Race 2
Great first half of the race but then a massive off and bent steering . After that million offs again.

Hats off to you guys on the podium. Great pace and consistency!

Don't worry. This track was total mayhem anyway

If I'm pissed off at anyone, it's at myself for not being able to do in the races what I can do in practice. :cursing:

And congrats on that result in the 1st.

...for not being able to do in the races what I can do in practice....

hehe, that will take time, but I see from your style it won't be a long time ;-)

Hi Dominiek

If I remember the last races before xmas we had quite a few good races together  and were on similair pace..

For Bridgehampton I took Daz's advice as I was good in pratice but all over the shop in the race.. So I praticed, practiced and then some more and did a lot of races against AI, starting at the back and getting used to lots of other cars on track and started to work my way up the pack..

First few races a nightmare off the track a lot, then I got the feel for it and tried not to be scared of the other 'faster' AI drivers and finished 2 races with minor offs, last race went from last to 2nd :-) would of been 1st but I lost concentration for 1 second on last lap

Plus having a good setup really helps, making the car more stable on the limit..

How about some of the more experienced drivers posting some setups for us newbies... Or is this seen as bad form????

if you ask for a specific car/track I'm sure several people will offer you theirs :-)

Well, there is a repository of setups both Rob and Von Burki have had access too;-), but everyone needs a slightly different setup to suit their own driving style. Having said that, a decent baseline setup can make a big difference in being able to learn the track.....

All I can say from my part, is if anyone is struggling for a setup at a track, ask, and I know one or more of the experienced guys will help you out without any problems.

Aaah Rookie,
thatīs where I come in as I am completely hopeless when it comes to making setups. Thatīs why I usually drive default setups except for gears and fuel and I must say I really hate it ! Understeering heavily through 99 % of the corners isnīt really that much fun. Reason I keep doing it is that I like racing with you guys. I have never asked for anyone elseīs setups because I have always thought that "it isnīt done"
I have started reading the various setup posts on forums but somehow it hasnīt got into my system yet.
Now that I know people donīt mind being asked, Iīd like to invite anyone to offer setups, Iīll glady try them all and improve on my driving and maybe even setting up a racing car.

Whatever, with or without I love racing with NGR.

Cheers, (Senior)dan

In the unlikely event anyone wants my setup to try it, they can have it, no problem, although not all of them work Dan. I was way off the pace at Valencia untill I used the setup Mal posted, then straightaway I lopped well over a second off my quali time:thumbup:. Some are quite good though, Rob seemed to get on with the Elan one quite well for Bridgehampton, but I'm no guru. Also, I seem to be getting less and less time to actually test, and therefore my setups are suffering as a result...

Fastest I'm getting atm is low 1'20's in the wet with med/low gears, should be able to get into the 19's
Can't remember where I posted my GT set up, so here it again.
Incidentally, I was racing the AI cars yesterday, and they were overtaking me on the grass, no fair:-D

EDIT: D'OH I've posted this is the wrong thread :banghead:
